my partner... but he's the most harmless guy ever known. easy-going and doesn't easily take offence, let things be and ride with it.

but he IS about to sue the upstairs doctors office who literally brought him to ruins with their 24/7 noise pollution and insolent attitude last 2 years. so i'll see how bad they will get it.

In my teens, I figured my emotional issues were the fault of my Cancer Moon but I think I've gotten a good grasp on it except for my anger. Is it the Moon that feels angry and the Mars shows it or is the feeling Mars alone?

I've also become aware of my control issues, generally a split between being controlled or no privacy, structure, and discipline. I think it's no coincidence that after my descent into depression, I've been trying to understand my Mars in Scorpio, my anger issues, and have become somewhat enamored with the idea of a Scorpio mate but that could just be they fit perfectly with my more recent interest in um a different kind of sex.

As far as anger goes, I remember every little thing, and I mean little crap that probably shouldn't matter, and it adds up to being a lot angrier than anyone would expect. But I tend to internalize it until I blow up unexpectedly or just be a sarcastic ***** . Revenge has never interested me much though. If you **** me off bad enough, we're done. You might not even know I was mad, or thought your most recent bs wasn't enough to warrant it but I didn't forget all the previous incidents. I just walk away. Problem is, I can't do that for family and they're my biggest issue. I just found out 2 weeks ago my sister's Leo Mars is square to the same degree! Omg, it explains so much. Like how frickin self-involved she is. Ooooh but I think it's her little Virgo Moon that can't take criticism and so her Leo Mars rears up like a drama queen going for the jugular.

Um, anyway. This is too much isn't it? One more thing, my Mars is retrograde which some books write as internalizing anger and it's less than 3 degrees from Saturn which is well...

Oh and Jojo? I hope I will get to your level I'm going to run away now.

oh yea... my partner is pretty nihilistic. he can really nail his sarcasms, and some people really love it, and some hate it. but he doesn't hold grudges. beside this he strives for harmony and loves peace above anything. discord makes him nervous.

Hi Artemis,

What an honest account of how you deal with anger, you explained it so well - a pleasure to read. I hadn't realised it until now, but I think I am very similar. I don't bother with revenge, but I do remember every single thing and they add up over time so that my reactions can sometimes seem out of proportion to the person that lives in the moment. My sarcasm goes from normal and funny, to cutting and hurtful. If I'm cross enough, the person will, as you said, cease to exist and that's it, done.

That said, I don't have Mars in Scorpio so I think its just my general nature that makes me this way inclined!

Well now you have to tell is what you do have! :P I'm not sure all that I wrote earlier is completely my Mars aspects and all. I'm sure my Cancer Moon is heavily involved. And I think my control issues are definitely influenced by my Sun opposite Uranus as it's wrapped up in my strong need for independence.

Maybe there's something like that going on in your chart? You could have some other planets in Scorpio, Cancer, or even one of the other fixed signs. Fixed signs don't forget anything, right?

Ahh but Scorpios want control. Saturn is all about discipline but Pluto rules power and control is powerful. Scorpios may not be good at control (wait, aren't they supposed to have amazing strength of will?) but they still want it. I know I do Control of my emotions, control of my home, control of the remote...

Just cos they want something doesn't mean they get it. I was on about the concept of self control really, which is what was in question. They can have willpower though.

I agree that Scorpio wants control.
And that it doesn't necessarily get it.

But power is important, always.
And control IS a sort of power, isn't it?

Control as relative to what, though...?

In general they feel better if they're running the show. Maybe that's what you mean. Then you get into the Control Freak territory where it's gotta go their way.

Scorps would do control more for the ego bit, either to build someone up or to knock em down.
Caps would do it cos they don't trust anyone else to put in good effort.

I have Mars in Scorpio.. actually, quite the party in Scorpio....
Maybe it's because I'm all old and learned 'n stuff....but I'm not really about revenge. I mean, i don't like when people **** me off..and I like when people *feel* bad, or remorse, for crossing me or whatever- but I dunno if I'd call it 'waiting for revenge'....I get bored and move on.

I do remember bad things though. Good things need constant refills... bad things? Easily recalled. I effing HATE that. I always have to remain positive or else I brood. Brooding is just not fun.

I beg to differ
Some Scorpios are like that. The evolved ones are not controlled by their emotions, it's the other way around.

Saturn rules self-control and that's what was in question.

Everyone can control themselves if they have the capacity, obviously.

Does Mars in the 8th house have a similar vibe to Mars in Scorpio? I have Mars in Taurus but it is in the 8th house---
I have wondered about that,if there are similarities between signs and house placements---for another example I have Venus in the 10th house,is that like having Venus in Capricorn??

You don't understand. The next existence is in spirit form since we are currently in physical.

Dear Hodad,
I think the vibe from the house is a higher level vibe, almost the smell of the cake baking but not eating it lol

I think an 8th house Mars in Taurus would have the feel of a Scorpio Mars at a secondary ,not primary level.
The same would be true of a 10th house Venus with a Cap overlay.
If I am wrong, someone please correct me lol

I think Mars in Scorpio is an evolved and strong placement. I don't think it has the pettiness or spite that some people seem to associate with it. For what some people are describing i would say is more suited to the description of Moon in Scorpio or Pluto conjunct the Ascendent.

Im a mars scorp also, and this is almost an exact description of my feelings, except that i am a bit vengeful. im starting to get a handle on that because im learning that it often makes the situation worse. but i remember every little thing and i usually hold it in until i blow up, or im extremely sarcastic.
