Hi, The 12th house is important when choosing a Nursing Career. Hospitals fall under the 12th house and so does caring for the sick, and the sign Pisces. It takes a very special type of person to be a nurse, I don't have it in me but I do admire it in others. IP: Logged |

I'd like to see an absence of cruelty above all. In the positive sense, kindness (a gentle Moon and planets generally) and willingness to be of service to others - say Mars in Virgo.Good luck to you both IP: Logged |

LoL... I thought it was ironic that you posted on this thread Nightingale, I was thinking of Florence Nightingale as soon as I saw your name and the threads name.I used to work for a company that whould accomadate temporary housing for family members of patients from out of town. Anyway, I saw a of cancer suns with lots of leos in there charts working as nurses. My guess is the cancer bringing in the nurturing side and the leo side bringing in the dealing with people side. ---------------------------------------- Capircorn Rising Gemini Sun, 5th House Aries Moon Mercury in Gemini Venus In Taurus IP: Logged |

6th and 12th houses are two of the most active houses in my chart...hehe. I guess I did go with the right profession afterall, LOL. I work nightshift at a hospital and there is a huge variety of sign influences in my Unit in particular (from Capricorn to Cancer to Gemini) which is why it would be nice to obtain some birthtimes to see houseplacements. This is the natal chart of my sister, nurse for over 4 years. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Look at the 6th house ruler (whole sign house system) in aspect to Neptune. The more exact aspect and/or the better aspect to conjunction. In this chart, 6th ruler Moon is in exact trine with Neptune. Also in trine with natal Venus. She is in a nurse in Australia, after being trained in England. I think the specific area is critical care, which, seems like a Moon/Cancer theme.

Saturn(the sick,in need, unfortunate) in aspects to Moon(nurturing, empathy) ;MC in cancer; strong H6 (to understand the nature of service,no ego fighting) good Mars and Sun ;nurses need physical strenght, and healthy amount of confidence and ability to react quickly; Moon and Mercury in good aspect= light hand IP: Logged |

HiyaThis is the chart of my best friend, she's a theatre nurse and very good at the job. She's had a really successful career in various areas of nursing, and is highly thought of. Not sure which bit of her chart makes her good at this, sorry. Rachel ------------------ "Vision without Action is a daydream... Action without Vision is a nightmare." IP: Logged |

Very apt assessment by Lalalinda, Coffee, Amowls and Benedict.Nursing is all about Neptune/Pisces interplay with the 6th House Ruler or 6th House Objects, and a bit of 12th House. Mars in 12th for instance could be prominent for Hospital/Clinical Careers. Rachel's friend finds "empathetic service" [a 6th House theme mathematically] fulfilling [True Node in 6th] plus emotionally she is happy serving in a Hospital [Moon in 12th]. She may be very and will use her hands carefully to give as painless injections as possible, earning blessings of patients [True Node in Gemini]. IP: Logged |

Very interesting responses... I think one of the reasons why I asked is because in he past I've gotten my C.N.A. and now I'm going for my R.N. and looking to work in a trauma unit or the ER mostly at a hospital.Anyway, here is my chart and curious to hear what some of you think.. IP: Logged |

Sun being your 6th house ruler is a biggie, and it even trines Uranus...ruler of your 12th (right on your Midheaven too...wow). I think this is pretty much intergrated into your personality. IP: Logged |

I'm sure you will manage the job if you got the right education and have your feelings on your inside. Not everyone can handle hard stress and testsituations. IP: Logged |
