Topic: What houses your planets rule

do they flavour the planet somehwhat like the house a planet is in?for example, i was thinking about my partner, her Sun is Aquarius, her Mars is Sagittarius, her Sun is the ruler of the 3rd house, does this mean she's some what gemini like? my Sun rules my 1st, i wonder if this makes me Arien (my sun might be in the 1st which would make this default anyway) mars rules my 10th, venus rules my 4th, i just wondered. is it a coincidence for example, that my 7th house is in Aquarius, and my partners Mars rules the 11th house in her chart. her 7th house is in Capricorn, and my Mars rules the 10th house/ MC in my chart. is it a coincidence her mars conjuncts Uranus, and my Mars trines Saturn. my mars is inan Earth Sign in the 2nd house (Virgo) her 7th house ruler is in the sixth house. her Mars is in a Fire Sign in sagittarius, my 7th house ruler is in the 5th house. the way i understood it is the planets affect that area of life more...like with those planets in the 3rd makes this person more communicative...although that doesnt really apply to me considering my moon is in the 3rd, its really hard for me to communicate my feelings, no matter how hard i try something always holds me back------------------

didnt mean to derail my own topic but wow, i just realized somethign els,e this cant be a coincidence!her ASC is in Cancer, venus rules my 4th house. my ASC is in Leo, her venus rules her 5th House!
has anyone else got this pattern going on in their synastry??

thanks for the reply Nicki,that makes sense, i kinda knew that, i just wonder if those planets taht effect those areas of life more, take on some influence of the associated sign on themself. IP: Logged |

i got what you said, but i cant really respond with that well because i already have a heavy gemini influence....but it might, like my 8th stellium (sextiling pluto and mars in scorpio) is in capricorn, making my cap stellium more scorpionic...and i have a 6th stellium in scorpio making my scorpio stellium more meticulous like virgo------------------

My cap stellium in the 3rd sometimes acts like a gemini stellium.Which is why I get on with Geminis so well but I have a Pisces sun/Sag moon which make hard aspect to people's gemini... ------------------

The main thing with house rulers is looking at a certain house, seeing the sign on the cusp, and looking for its ruler to give you more info about that area of life.
So regarding your partner I would look more at what house her Sun is in and the natural sign/element of that house and see if that vibes with your chart, esp your Sun, Moon, Asc. You can look at her Moon the same way, against your Sun Moon Asc. And then look at your Sun and Moon house against her chart.

Luminaries in the houses can often give personality traits and physical looks of someone who has that sign obviously emphasized in their chart.
So Sun in the 3rd and Moon in the 9th you may mistake them for having Sun or Asc in Gemini or Sadge.IP: Logged |
