Do ya'll see Juno as what you need in a marriage to feel satisfied or the type of person you marry?

I've often found Juno placed in a somewhat important place in the chart.. kind of reinforcing a particular sign, or house (or both).
BUT I haven't found it to be *that* important in marriages, personally.

I'd like to see what others have to say about Juno, it's an interesting topic.

For example, I have Juno in Libra, and I definitely love Libran traits, but I also have Venus and Jupiter in Libra, Jupiter being my 7th ruler.. so, hard to tell.

I thought Juno represented the part that someone is willing to give away or sacrifice for the benefit of the relationship?

So if I have Juno in Virgo, does that mean I like someone who is practical and critical or that I need to give this part of myself up? I am critical myself, but not sure I can deal with someone mirroring that back towards me. Need someone more optomistic!

However, I liked this description of Juno in the 8th house (my placement):

Juno in the 8th House: You need a Sex Machine for a partner. Since the 8th house rules the partner's possessions, well, they may regard you as a possession (especially if there are stress aspects). Marriage and partnership can also help you to reconstruct or transform yourself (whether you want to or not).

In my natal I....

Have mercury sextile Juno: Need a partner who will communicate?

Venus square Juno

Mars trine Juno: Willing to work hard for a relationship and make personal sacrifices?

Neptune square Juno: Might struggle if Spirtual side is in contrast to partners beliefs?

Ceres trine Juno

Juno conjunct Vesta: Does this mean I thrive best in relationships that allow me to be an individual?

Juno square fortune: Does this mean work and love do not mix for me? And I must sacrifice one or the other?

I've heard Juno is what you're "internally married to" and so it basically manifests in the kind of partner you end up with. Gotta say pretty true for me! Mine is at a critical degree of Aquarius (29) in the 12th, trine my Mars, sextile my Venus/Uranus and square my Sun.
Fits my partners and relationships to a T. I don't think it's what you NEED necessarily in a way that you consciously identify with (this I think is more indicated by aspects TO Juno) but I do think it's what you end up with as a partner.

I've also heard that there are gender differences in manifestation. That for men it has more to do with their anima figure and for woman it has more to do with their sense of empowerment on a personal level.

If my memory serves me well, Juno in a man's chart is the kind of woman he wants to marry (hence the "disownment"), and in a woman's chart - the kind of wife she'll be.

I also think Magi Astrology use Juno totally different, but that's another story. Their system never completely resonated with me.

maira, I like your explanation ... easy.
"Juno - man - kind of woman he wants to marry.
Juno - woman - kind of wife she will be in the marriage."

CrazyAquarian, I'm so glad you brought up this topic! It's been my understanding Juno is not necessarily written in stone as the "marriage partner" but more or less the kind of people your most serious relationships will be with. They might not be the exact sign your Juno is in, but those traits of that sign will be the most prominent.

I have Juno in Leo in the 3rd house trine with my Mercury in Aries and sextile my Ascendant in Gemini. All I can think of is hoping I can pay attention during all that talking...

Yes, I was thinking about that while typing up the first post. Not necessarily marriage since, some people don't and others have multiple.

Oh god so right!

So if two people have the same sign in Juno that must be good then huh?

Although, I have been wondering if those who've dated the same Juno sign ever experienced a heightened psychic sensitivity with them they haven't experienced with anyone else.

As for my placements do you suppose my Juno sign/aspects are only suitable for friendship? I kind of worry it is since all the Leos I've ever happened to associate with were gay. And they certainly talked up a storm!

Yep! And in the 12th house O_O

Funny, does Astro use smaller orbs for asteroids? Because it doesn't say its conjunct Pluto, but its conjunct my moon by 1 orb and my moon is conjunct Pluto by 5, and it shows orbs up to 9, so my Juno and Pluto should be considered conjunct at 6.

Honestly I have no idea, have you gotten the same thing on cafe astrology?

Hmmmm. Humor me in listening to my interpretation? Do you not realize what your "type" is when it comes to dating? I'm thinking if 12th house is about universal love and death, etc.... Plus you being an aquarian, you HAVE to have some kind of psychic sensitivity or attract men that are controlling?

Easy until one realizes that gender isn't a binary.

I really haven't found Juno to be that significant in terms of the relationships I've had, but none of them were marriages so.

so true. I don't know my type. I have a general understanding of what I find physically attractive, but honestly the personality turns me on more than anything else...ANYWAY! lol

I definitely have a kind of psychic sensitivity, I notice it getting growing more and more. Things I didn't even realize meant something do. I had a horrible feeling something was wrong (maybe even died!) with my friend a few weeks back. Then boom! she got into a bad car accident. I was worry before it even happened. Funny I randomly had sent her a text saying I was worried the hour it happened! Not the first time I sent a random text talking about what that person was doing without me knowing. Plus I got Neptune in my first house, so that must help.

Controlling....honestly, they are afraid or too shy. Even the few forward ones that approach me have a feeling of nervousness and not too confident. There is only one I can think of who wasn't, a scorp mars, but once he found I was interested in someone else BOOM! I never saw him like that before, so down and sad. This was a Sag with a fairly fine ego. wow rambling... I get some creepers, but not controlling that I have noticed. Unless they are too afraid of trying??? They could be obsessed, but I don't know. I'm often quite confused on how I come off to guys and why they are they way they are with me.

hmm..

My Juno is in Virgo, square Uranus, Conjunct Venus, and conjunct mercury in the 3rd house.

in her natal chart, by signs atleast, i can't see too much resemblence.

personality traits, i see plenty.

astrologically, she is an Aquarius Sun, virgo southnode, 6th house Mars/Saturn/Uranus (saturn is her moons depositor, and Uranus her sun's depositor)

so yeah, Aquarius Sun/Mercury, Mars in Sagittarius, Cancer ASC with Neptune Opposite asc. Venus in aries in the 10th square neptune. mars conjunct uranus/saturn.

with astrology, its never been "sign necessary" to me, its about what you experience with someone, so aspects, and the houses your planets and their planets aare playing in, are part of the picture and perception you have of your partner.

her moon rests in my 6th house, the description is accurate, and essentially implies she will desire to provide alot of 6th house/virgo theme energy.

her 6th house mars might be a part of it, maybe her depositors being in the 6th are a reason..

the virgo juno description, "partner will look out for your health etc" , this is true with her

she is also very different from the typical (juno square uranus), chatty? very much. (juno in the 3rd conjunct uranus) my mars and sun are in her 3rd house, it might also be the fact that her sun rules her 3rd, and that her mercury conjuncts my DSC.

shes a writer, artistic aswell. venus square ASC in the 10th.

as for her Juno, its in Aries conjunct Venus, square neptune/asc.

well i know i meet this one by sign since my moon conjuncts her venus/juno, and squares neptune. in the 10th.. well my moon restsi n her 10th, and im definitely venusian (venus in libra, mars in the 2nd) and im artistic too.. i have alot of venus aspects.

as for neptune, well, neptune square moon, trine mars, in my 5th.
