Hi There, I hate to be one of the masses asking for help, but if you've experienced Saturn's Return, I hope you can understand the desperation! My question is, how long do you experience Saturn's influence? My sun is in pisces, moon in gemini, and I have Saturn in Libra, and next to that, my chart says Saturn was retrograde. I think I began to feel Saturn shortly after I turned 28. Since then, I've had career changes, moves, lots of stress. The funny thing is that prior to all of this, I was so cautious and would never just drop my career for something different. (Though I was out of work at the time, I'm sure I could have found something.) Now, I'm back where I was, trying again to pursue my old career path, though I'm again out of work. I've come so close to getting jobs, as in being one of the final two candidates, but each time, I've lost out. And to top it off, Saturn doesn't officially return for me until October/November of this year! I'm a little worried about what might come, I'll have to admit. Is there anything I need to know based on my planetary positions? And how long should I expect it to last? (I know there's no exact date, but I need Saturn to back off!) Thank you. IP: Logged |

Gosh, sounds rough... Sorry, I'm still a total amateur when it comes to this stuff, but I can tell you what happened to me. When my Saturn Return came up, I went with the flow. Didn't try to fight any of it, but let it take me where it wanted. I just kept trying to make it what I could, and at least in my case, it worked out great! No big troubles at all with Saturn that time. I didn't try to fight it, or make it bend to my will. Instead, I would take a deep breath, thank the Universe, then go along with whatever came up. Sounds trite, but try to be patient. I did come out of mine a changed person, and definitely for the better. When I spoke to an astrologer about it, he told me I didn't have a rough time because I was doing what I was suppose to do. I let the energy flow, so there was no resistance.Good luck! Hey, Saturn will move on at some point. It won't be forever. IP: Logged |

Not to scare you, but for me, its last passage was horrible. I think the advice CosmicKarma gave is great, even in the darkest hour try to keep in mind that it shall pass. Hold on to that thought, don't let it go. Best of luck to you! IP: Logged |

Maybe post a chart? If you can't, what house is your Saturn in and what are the aspects? Maybe we can interpret them...IP: Logged |

Intercepted houses always puzzle me, so I'll give it a try, but keep in mind that my short interpretation may not be accurate because of this.Your Saturn is in the 6th house, so the area affected would be your day to day chores, your daily work routine. Make sure you check your health during this time, schedule a visit to the dentist. Saturn also rules the spine and the bones. The square to Venus means that it is possible that you felt unloved your whole life, and this may be aggravated during the return. But Venus is in the 10th, so it may have to do with you career, feeling unwanted there. I can't tell the degree, so if it's a loose square, disregard this. The conjunction to mars probably means that you will face restrictions in your actions. Keep in mind that all the interpretations I gave are on the negative side, since I dislike Saturn so much. Saturn conjunct Mars could also mean great stamina. Also, some say that people born with Saturn retrograde (I have this too) are here repeating a lesson they didn't learn in a previous life. It's about taking responsibility, structuring that area of your life indicated by the house he's in, in your case the 6th. Hope this helps a bit. My intuition tells me that you won't be so affected since yours is in a cadent house and not conjunct any angle. It's been almost a year and my teeth are still chipping and breaking as he's transiting my 1st IP: Logged |

I hear ya Puzzlingconcept! My Saturn is in Libra also, but I have cleared my Saturn return. Saturn is a tough taskmaster...but he is teaching you how to draw boundaries and where in your life you need to have them. It's strange, often we find at our darkest or toughest moments, it is at this time when we are most productive. You just have to ride out the wave. At least you can measure with astrological knowledge and pace yourself. The good thing is that when it's over you will feel stronger and more decisive. It's a clearing and cutting process until then, but all for your benefit.IP: Logged |

Thanks for this! I'm sorry about your experiences with Saturn. It's funny you mention chores. I used to feel compelled to keep a spotless place, but with all this, I just don't have the same drive for it. Time management has been tough. You're so right about feeling unwanted, career-wise. I used to feel way in life, but I have a good support system in my family. I'm a lot closer to my parents and sister now, and I have a great husband. I feel useless in Mt career though. IP: Logged |
