Hello folks,

I'd like to know more how a Sun Jupiter aspect feels.

You can describe whatever aspect, but I'm particulartly interested in the square.

Thanks!

i know of two sun conjunct jupiter people, one in libra, one in gemini.

i think jupiter just instills over optimism and all related jupiter themes in the sun person,

for example, the libra sun-jupiter conjunct woman, bought a car to pay for monthly, and now is struggling to pay for it and hold a job.

this was after i predicted taht this person with this aspect, is likely to have a "oh what the heck, why not" approach to things, basically over optimistic, risky, gambles.

and bare in mind, this person has venus in scorpio, and im sure most scorpio energy, especially venus in scorpio (the planet of business, possesions, valuables, money, etc) would do anything risky or extravagent like that.

i think this persons had mars in libra too though,

they had moon in capricorn, which in my opinion ought to have emphasized a decision to not go with taht car.

thats what i can offer about jupiter -sun energy.

Thank you letram !

Yes that's exactly how I imagine Sun Jupiter people to behave, optimistic and risky.. The "Hey why not?" kind of approach is their thing

I have Sun square Jupiter exact. (It also is in my t-square with Chiron in the 7th).

quote:

Yeah, I agree with that more or less. I often have a very: "C'est la vie" type of attitude. I am sometimes overoptimistic, usually about my relationships and friendships though. I am a risk taker and I have done a lot of the 'extreme' types of sports. I don't mind confronting people about things since I tend to think that everything will work out if I just tell the truth. I have a very 'devil may care' attitude about most things.

Truthfully, however, I usually AM incredibly lucky. I've had so many close calls in life with situations, people, etc. it's not even funny. I sometimes feel like a cat with 9 lives. I kind of wonder if my incredible sense of luck comes with the fact that Jupiter is part of a grand trine in my chart.

I think the limitation of the square aspect between Jupiter and the Sun is actually an expansion of my own personality. Keep in mind that my Jupiter is in my first house (conjunct my Uranus) and it squares my Sun in the 10th. So, I often tend to keep on a happy, optimistic, 'everything is hunky dory' face even when I'm screaming inside. I dislike showing my vulnerabilities to others and in an attempt to smooth things over, I often use humor as a way to disguise what's really going on with me. I even have a nervous laugh, so people don't take me seriously even when the situation is very serious. Also, I tend to try to come off more capable than I really am when I feel like I am inadequate at a task. It is very hard for me to swallow my pride and ask for help when I need it.

Anyway... That's all I've got for now. If I think of more I'll let you know. Is there someone you know with this aspect or do you have it yourself?

Thank you very much enchantress299, for that description.

I don't have it natally, no, but I know some people who have, and they do seem very optimistic, happy-go-lucky kind of types.
I was wondering if they really are that optimistic/happy or if they sometimes feel down, because you guys don't show it when things are not okay.

No we don't... And I've been finding that I really need to learn how to show that more often. ESPECIALLY when the situation is direly serious. I'm a VERY forgiving person, so, though I will FORGIVE someone, that does not make their action towards me OK. I tend to let things roll off my back, so that's another reason people don't take me as seriously as they should sometimes.

I have Sun conj Jupiter in Aquarius, 11th house.
I guess it makes me seem optimistic. I try to, especially when someone is being pessimistic. It also makes me feel, since I was very young, like whatever happens in the future, I'll be fine, I'll be where I want to be. It gives confidence and optimism. Doesn't deal well with pettiness and routine, I think. I hate being around negative/pessimistic people (my moon in pisces is too sensitive to other's moods, sometimes I feel like what I feel isn't even mine).

I think I give the vibe I have it easy, both in life and money matters. People have been unfair about it before, based on looks alone.

I suffer like everyone else even if I keep it to myself most of the times, when I can. I have a tendency to get depressed though, but no one ever can tell.

I can't think of anything else. But it's pretty much about a feeling of certainty of a bright future. I remember that until about 5 years ago I felt like I could do and be anything. I was so sure about everything lol it was a great feeling.

with the square, your self expression blocks the way in which you understand your experiences and your worldview. how you express your individuality is in direct conflict with your belief system

taking a look at the signs: sun in aries to jupiter in cancer.

sun in aries expresses its individuality by being impulsive, rash, courageous and risk taking. jupiter in cancer's understanding of the world and his experiences are expanded through matters of immediate emotional security. jupiter in the familiarity loving, security seeking sign of cancer is being is in conflict with freedom loving, impulsive aries.

overall, this person may have trouble making sense of their experiences and drawing conclusions about the world because it conflicts with how they shine and express themselves as a unique individual.

I have Sun Scorpio opposite Jupiter Rx Taurus

This is a good description.
http://www.astrotext.co.uk/blog/?p=475

Sun Opposition Jupiter

You’ve got a heart as big as a house, and enthusiasm to match! You’re always the first to accept a party invitation, and then you’re the last to leave. Indeed, you’re what might be termed a ‘bon viveur’ – someone with a zest for life. Well… having an abundance of expansive feeling can also be put to more lasting, constructive use. Just imagine what riches you could gain from harnessing your uplifting optimism to your intuitive faculty. Surely this is the first ingredient of greatness! But…….one thing you need to understand is the difference between truly amazing ideals that can be put to good use, and blind optimism that can make the most impossible of ideas seem quite feasible! At times it is hard for you to admit that something cannot be done, for when your jovial energies are flowing you fail to see, or even accept, any of the less desirable traits of your character exist! Your right of course… but when the initial excitement of your ideas or endeavours begins to wane, many previously over-looked problems can suddenly come to light. If you can learn to spot these problems at the start, well… the sky is your limit!

i have sun square jupiter and id say it contributes toooooo being blindly optimistic, over indulgent particularly not knowing when to stop, faith, philosophically inclined.

heres some words from a book i have about sun/jupiter tense aspects: signifies strong idealism. these people espouse causes, often impracticle or unpopular, and persue them to the point of self sacrifice. they have a strong faith in their own destiny, a deep need for personal freedom, dislike order and routine, and often become travelers.

I have a Sun-Jupiter conjunction (cazimi, 12’ orb) in Capricorn. Jupiter is in its fall in Capricorn. Characteristics usually described for this aspect (optimism, joviality, etc.) are greatly tempered by ma Capricorn nature (serious, deep and pessimistic).

However, it is true that I have a strong philosophical and spiritual approach of life which helped me face (to some extent) very difficult situations (misfortune one could say). In my case, Sun-Jupiter works mainly on an inner level. I always look for being true to Self. I have a strong need for being genuine and to realize the Self. That’s actually my priority :-)

I see Sun-Jupiter as a guardian angel on my shoulder looking after me while trying to survive in this world and looking deep into me at the same time.

I have the sextile by 2 degrees? It does make me less prone to grudge holding, and taking life as it comes. Been through alot of bad experiences, but so what! Tomorrow's another day afterall. I do know that all the pain was meant to teach me things, so guess it just makes someone more hopeful and optimistic about their life?
