Hi,

My Mum passed away many years ago but I'd like to do her chart. I know her planets, but don't know her time of birth. I do know her place of birth, and I know what her Ascendant was because we worked them all out when I was a bit younger. I remember it clearly because her Ascendant was her mother's Sun, whose Ascendant was my Sun. My Ascendant is a few degrees away from completing the triangle and being my Mum's sign lol.

Given that I know the Ascendant, can I do a chart that would at least tell me what house the planets are in? Or is it just too unknown?

Thanks
Rachel

Whole signs houses don't need an exact ASC degree.

Hi!
Just play around with the birth time on astro.com if you don't like the whole sign system. Think about what would suit her personality (for example a mars in the 12th is very different from a mars in 1st and so on).

Good luck!

No it doesn't need an exact time for this. Nor do you need an exact degree. House 1 starts with the ASC, then moves on with the next sign on the next house and so on.

Use WHOLE SIGN House system!

Hi,

That's a great idea! I have worked out that her birth time was between about 4:30pm and 7pm. Her date of birth was 27th Dec 1944, Isleworth Middlesex England. Her sun is Capricorn and I know her ascendant was Cancer. She died in High Wycombe, Bucks, England on 25 March 1995.

I am so inexperienced that I can't really see which planet/house combo to compare. Which should (theoretically) tell me most about her, and I can try comparing that one?

I know she was very very sarcastic, but extremely popular. When she died, her funeral was packed and even the hospital nurses and doctors attended (she'd not been in the hospital that long, so this was rare indeed).

She loved cleaning, and was extremely thorough. She was a secretary for most of her life, but worked at the airport for a few years too, and everyone said she would have made a wonderful nurse. She was always very well presented and liked her airline uniform, Chanel perfume, Max Factor lippy etc.

Any ideas what I should compare? Main reason I am trying to find out so that I can see what planets were in her 6th house; isn't that supposed to say something about her death?

Thanks
Rachel

6th would be health in general, not specifically death. 8th is death as a concept, not necessarily death of the native. Some believe 4th is endings, and others say 12th.

I'd look at 4th or 12th.

Maybe post a chart Rachel? We can work from there.

But if you're hoping for some kind of info regarding her death, I noticed that it has little to do with houses, and more with transits, usually Jupiter but also Saturn.

Hi again,

Thanks for your replies, sorry to be a pain - I'm working a little out of my depth here, clutching at straws a little and not even 100% sure what I'm trying to find out!

Here's the chart if she were born at 4:30pm:

and here if she were born at 6:30pm:

Any thoughts?

I'd go with the 6pm chart, what you described are Virgo traits, putting her sun in the 6th.

Moon in 11th would account for her popularity, although I'd play more with the birth time at 5 something, leaving the moon in the 11th and sun in the 6th, but moving venus in the 9th.

Also, Saturn in 12th brings agoraphobia and severe undetected depression, which sometimes bursts out at the times of its return - around the age of 30 and 60 years old.

My two cents.

Hi there

Thank you so much, I wish I was able to do that - just pluck these things straight out of my brain, I'm in awe that you can remember all the meanings like that. I have to look up each individual meaning, and by the time I've looked up a few, I've forgotten the first one

Totally hadn't thought of the Virgo thing, but yes, she was very Virgoan in some ways - soooooo organised, very tidy etc and loved cleaning with a toothbrush, it used to get in to the corners well she'd say!

I wish I knew more about her during the times of her Saturn returns; she had me just short of her 32nd birthday so I wasn't around for the first Saturn return, and unfortunately she died at 49 so she wasn't around for the second Saturn return!

Thank you so much, I miss her so much and it is very comforting to be able to see more in her chart (good or bad).

You are very welcome!

I did this too, with my grandma's chart. She died before I learned astrology. I believe that she was a Cancer ascendant too and I also feel that studying her chart helped me know her better
