You also have emphasized that your DC in Cancer makes you "mushy".

I once had a thread that asked this question: Whether the DC does infact seem to be more telling than both our Venus and sun signs as to whom we are compatible with but no-one was interested

I think that the emphasis of security by your mercury, venus and Asc in Capricorn combined with its polar opposite, Cancer in DC, makes you weary of lighthearted romantic ventures becaue your eye seems to be on the long term.

This is why I think the Cancer ,whom had lots of water placements, seemed perfect. The emphasis on the relationship was probably security, familiarity and focus on emotions.

Also, your Aquarius sun in the Fixed mode does tend to be drawn towards things that are more basic, fundamental and "real". The Sun in air tends to want to be in a reltionship whereby they can bounce off their ideas on to others, to converse and relate.

I don't think this relationship is doomed. You may be nervous over the Venus, Mercury, Sun conjuction in Aquarius that he has, but start off on a clean slate and see how things develop as I think the Pisces moon may not be comfortable as yet to express itself(as far as he is concerned).
