How important is your moon/ascendant/rising sign? My sun sign is Sagittarius and my moon sign is Aquarius. ------------------ -Anna IP: Logged |

Yeah, I have a few astrology books. I have sun signs by Linda Goodman and this other astrology book called All you need to know about Astrology so I know what it means for each part of your chart, I just didn't know if the rising part was of any importance because some people just say, "Oh i'm a so and so sun sign" and some people say the whole shabang---like for me it'd be I'm a Sagittarius with an Aquarius rising. Why do people sometimes say that instead? ------------------ -Anna IP: Logged |

A better question is: Why are YOU interested in astrology? Most people want things to be as easy as possible and the truth is that you can barely tell anything just by giving someone 3 measurements from your chart that contains thousands of pieces of information. ------------------ Geocosmic Valentine Professional Astrologer geocosmicvalentine@yahoo.com www.myspace.com/geocosmicvalentine IP: Logged |

I don't think there is a general answer to that. In some charts, those three planets (therefore signs, houses etc) will be dominant. Of course, in a person who has everything else in one house, in one sign, the moon and ascendant will probably be slightly less insignificant. For me, the Moon is the most vile part of my chart and I hate it, lol. The Ascendant is a substantial part of me and very important as it provides some lightness to an otherwise quite heavy chart. ------------------ Where possible, give people a piece of your heart, not a piece of your mind.
