Yes they rock.

But I'm talking about acendents and decendants. LoL

I don't really know anything about DC. Exsept that it's your opsite of your AC.

So my DC would be Sagittarius.

And I'm gonna take an educated guess, and guess that it's like the oposite effect of AC. And that maybe it's more of an inner self? Or the part of you that other's don't really see?

Lets see if I find any answers online...

According to wiki it's about love/7th house

"In astrology, the descendant is the point directly opposite, or 180 degrees away from the ascendant. The descendant forms the cusp of the seventh house of the horoscope and refers to partners or relationships. The descendant is ruled by the seventh sign of the zodiac, Libra, and its ruler planet, Venus. The sign the seventh house is in is, for astrologers, the sign of people you are the most attracted by, you easily get along well with and you are most likely to start a love relationship with, if backed up by other zodiacal aspects."

"If Sagittarius is the sign on the cusp of your 7th house then you'll be attracted to adventurous, free spirited sexual partners who enjoy the journey in life more than reaching the destination. With Sagittarius in the 7th house you might be deeply attracted to love relationships with a partner who has a background quite different form your own, either culturally or with religious beliefs. The differences stimulate you. The part of yourself you might be projecting onto your partner if Sagittarius is in your 7th house might be the wanderer or philosopher type who is content to spend his or her life asking the big questions and seeking the answers. You might not be in touch with your deep urge to reach the truth and so if you have Sagittarius in the 7th house you'll likely invite a love and sex partner into your life who is quite opinionated and tied to his or her beliefs. They say that the DSC is a projection point. You will seek out traits associated with the sign on the DSC in intimate relationships, or you may even act like the sign on the DSC in intimate relationships.

I also read on other forums that people who have your dc sign in their main planets like sun, moon, venus, mars, (mercury?), or rising sign. Can also make an attraction.

My mom is also a Gemini rising. Her Venus is in Virgo. But my Dad has Venus in Sagittarius.

AND my sister is a Gemini rising too. haha. And I'm very curious about my sister's sussessful Mariage to her husband who is a Pisces. (he is so close, like a day away to being on an Aquarius cusp though.) My sister is a Libra.

Yeah I havn't really been in many relationships. But the last two one was a Cancer Sun w/ Leo Moon I don't remember anything else, lasted a month. And the other had alot of Cancer in his chart. I do have the Asteriod Lust in Cancer.

But the last one I know, only had Pluto in Scopio,
Where I have Juno and Valentine.

And no Sagittarius! I may not of known his rising sign, but no way he was a Sag rising. Nothing about his personality says higher education. My first impression about him was Cancer. (he has 3 main planets there so that could be why)

but yes I am starting to think maybe a ScorpySag, with maybe only one main planet in Cancer (I think is all I can handle.) would be good for me.

I do happen to have a guy friend, with benefits sometimes (though I am not at a phased by these 'benefits' anymore)
He is on a Cusp of Sag and Scorp. He has Mars in Scorp,(I think his Mercury is in Sag) and his moon is either in Cancer or Taurus. (this one birth chart sight is always off compared to another birthchart sight so I just need to stop using that one. cause it makes me hella confussed)

Anyway I enjoy hanging out with him as a friend. Even though in the begining I wanted him.(but he had a girlfriend) He is not a good kisser. And I know other women who think so too. And I foreplayed with him once, and it wasn't very good. He is only 19 though.(maybe in time he'll get better. But also he kinda admits that he is a wh0re right now. When he drinks he is allover me.

Also he admited to me the last time I hung out with him. That he told his friends not to hit on any of his friends that are girls, Cause if it goes sour, there would be too much tension that he doesn't want.

Also he cheats on his girlfriends, and/or tries too.
Another reason I don't think of him that way. And like him just as a friend.

And he tries to encourage his guy friends to cheat on their girlfriends. Ugh dispicible.

I feel like he's gotten worse. lol

DC is your shadow, what you disown and project to others until you find it within yourself. Jung invented the concept of shadow, along with animus and anima (if my Pisces Mercury is misleading me, I hope more experienced folks here will correct me )

I think the more you disown the qualities of your descendant, the more likely it is that people with those traits will come into your life to show you what is in you already.

I have three important personal planets in my 7th, so I think I play them out quite good, but every now and then my Aries Mars will be played out by someone else. Hopefully, I've learned the lesson concerning my Sun.

interesting maira.

Kind of reminds me of this theory I learned in my intro pshyc class. Like how in some good realtionships you become more whole having a significant other in your life.

My teacher even gave an example of how he is an extroverted person, while his wife is an introveted person.

And with her influence he now meditates alot, and with his influence on her, she now does public speaking stuff.

Exactly!
For instance, a disowned Neptune in the 7th, or a Pisces 7th cusp could mean someone who is very responsible (Virgo asc), but who attracts an alcoholic partner, or a bohemian-artist-"no money, no worries" type of person.

the descendent is the time when the sun is setting giving meaning to the shadow self. its the part of you that doesnt really show unless your with someone one on one. or how you are with the significant other. how you deal with other people. ive also heard that its the part of yourself that youve somehow learn to repress in the early part of the years. i feel as though the descendent isnt so much the shadow or repressed but the intigrated opposite thats needed to comprimise with other people for cooperation to balance the ascendent.

it almost seems that its easier to pick up on the descendent when meeting people sometimes. but its hard to tell since opposite signs are fairly well integrated toegther in similarities but also differences.

for instense.. im a taurus rising but when i first meet people i dont know im usually fairly calm and reserved. a bit shy (but that could be cause of my virgo moon) and very quiet. a lot of the time i have people tell me they were very intrigued by me, like theyr was something mysterious they wanted to try to figure out. i can see that correlating with scorpio, which i also have my pluto/venus conjunction super close to my descendent probably intensifying that. im very analytcal and can get pretty intense. there could be other indications in the chart that could give those traits too but i feel like although my taurus rising makes me want to keep an equalibrium theres some complex, intense feelings going on and its appearance is only placid but really its very emotional. another example is leo rising, i always feel that although leo rising is friendly and open with aquarius descendent theres still that cool detachment and very idealistic perspective of relationships.

What Maira said about the DSC being the "shadow" hits the nail on the head in my opinion.

I see the descending sign as the sign one is least familiar with, and may reflect deep parts of the psyche that one cannot see, but others can.

In my case, Aries is my descending sign. My rising sign is Libra, so that makes me diplomatic by nature but there is an argumentative, confrontational side of myself that comes out when I get really irritated. Others notice it more than I do, and when it happens it makes me really uncomfortable due to my minimal understanding of the sign of Aries.

It shows the sign that was setting at the time of birth, so it was on the opposite side of the Earth. That may explain the lack of understanding.

It also explains why it can point to attraction -- opposites attract. Also, it's on the 7th house cusp.
