I was just talking to my Taurus friend about this, and she said that she doesn't need anything physically, but rather needs to know that the peopl she cares about are going to be 'there', wherever 'there' is. For example, if she knows a person well enough and knows that they're not able to be constant but will take off on vacations every month, she's fine with that. It's just when people are completely unpredictable that she can't handle it.

So, I guess she is needy in a way, not clingy though.

I wouldn't say clingy - but yeah, I like people to be constant in their affections, and by affections, I mean their emotions. They can show it in different ways, they don't have to always be physically near by or constantly say sweet things, but to know that they always care about me and won't betray is what's important. It's hard to explain. There's also some Aquarian detachment in my personal philosophy with that as well - but I appreciate loyalty deeply and always want the core of friendship to be solid. I don't want people to wane with me - even if we break up I always want it to be on amicable terms, if that makes sense.

My moon is in Taurus and my best friend is a Taurus. I would say that the best word is possessive. Not clingy, not needy or jealous. Taurus just needs constant reassurance and tangible evidence of everything, emotions included.

Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in Taurus, here.
The physical aspect of a relationship is actually very important to me. I think in any relationship, there needs to be the two: physical and emotional. Of course the latter is very important for women to feel cared for. When a guy is there to ask how was your day and show he cares when you're sick does it for me.
I can get clingy when a person doesn't do that when he used to or if I sense he's being distant. My Cancerian anxiety kicks in and my Scorpio Moon obsessively thinks he doesn't love me anymore.
