Many astrology articles say taurus are stubborn. What's the difference between taurus and scorpio in terms of stubbornness? Isn't scorpio more stubborn than taurus?

Taurus may be more unreasonable.

Oh God!! Let me tell ya... there IS a difference lol

In my personal experience, Taurus is the most stubborn sign - ever!
I don't necessarily mean Taurus Suns (as they can have placements that counter stubbornness).
But any man out there who has "2+" personal planets in Taurus - is likely to be stubborn. Add bonus stubbornness points if these planets are the Sun and Mars.
I've attracted these men having a Taurus Venus -- so I've been subjected to the legendary stubborn-streak -- often.

It is not just that they are set in wanting things their way -- but they are also set in wanting your life to be exactly as they want it.
This may even be a nice picture.. If the idea of someone buying you the house he thinks is best for you both in the area he prefers for you both and buying you clothes that he would like to see you wearing and telling you what career would best suit you -- whether or not you like it --- and also telling you how many kids you will have, what schools they will go to and what careers would be best *for* them... if the idea of this sounds "nice" -- you could even learn to like this person! lol

The thing is - if you dare actually disagree with Mr. Taurus-Influenced on any of his views about your future lives together... he will not cause a scandal - because this is not in his nature. He will kindly explain to you that you can do anything you like as far as he is concerned --- BUT (there is always a BUT) -- he will no longer be able to help you and pay for whatever or do whatever he was going to do... IF - you do not do things - his way.

^^^
So basically it's either his way -- or - it does not happen at all.
But they don't say it explicitly... They say it as "of course you can do anything you like and have your personal freedom........... if ......... you mary a different guy!" lol That's the gist.

I don't know many Scorpio Sun men to compare.. but I do know a lot of people with Scorpio placements -- Moon/Mercury/Venus/Mars. They are not stubborn in this way. The fixed nature of Scorpio - comes across in their somewhat dogmatic views.. They have a lot of morals - mainly about sex, but also other things... and they will never change their opinions on these things - once they've made up their minds.
But being a social sign - Scorpio does actually take into account the wants/needs/desires of others.. and does not impose a particular lifestyle upon them.
But Taurus influence -- kind of expects others to simply adjust to them.. while they do not like the idea of adjusting for anyone.

Hahahah Betty.

Guess what, my Mr. Saturn from the other thread has both his Venus and Moon in Taurus.

Good thing I don't want to marry him

Aah Betty, thanks for the explanation, I like that! Now I can see the difference. So Taurus stubbornness is more about physical matters, whereas scorpio stubbornness is more about dogmatic veiws!

i dunno.. i think both taurus and scorpio are stubborn about their viewpoints. taurus and scorpio are both stubborn in not wanting to give up or give in. they both hold on to experiences. taurus might be more stubborn for change and expresses its stubborness in a more subtle way versus scorpio will be a lot more grouchy in expressing their stubborness. i have 5 family members who are scorpios including my momma. she will never back down or apologize in a fight. my uncle and my little sister are taurus's and they are very stubborn as well. but i think that taurus's might hold on to restenments a bit longer than scorpios do. i dunno though its a pretty close call. considering that taurus and scorpio are opposite signs, they have a lot of similarities. fixed signs in general are stubborn

i have taurus rising, and id say my stubborness extends to getting things im familiar with. i dunno, im sorry but everything i can say that a taurus would be stubborn about i can see scorpios being equally stubborn about..

I knew two brothers who had their suns along this axis and it gave me good insight to this subject. To make a long story short, Taurus will come around if they like you enough. Scorpio will if they aren't emotionally attached to their viewpoint. If scorpio does have an emotional agenda, then they can pretty much entrench themselves, with no consideration for the other person. In other words, Scorpio is less reasonable...almost like the nuclear-powered version of Cancer.haha The disclaimer here is that I'm speaking of two people who's Suns were in Scorpio and Taurus, and actually....the Taurus had his Moon in Scorpio. And if you haven't figured it out by now, the Scorpio was my ex. smh
