Hello everybody! ... I'm new on posting here, but I've been reading all the posts & topics in these forum since long time ago.! Anyway, I wanted to ask you if there is someone there with a 1st House Moon who can explain me how this placement changes your ascendant? For example, I've been analyzing some famuos people with this placement, & I've found them really amazing: Madonna(Virgo AS-Moon), Beyoncé(Scorpio AS-Moon), Jared Leto (Aries As-Moon), Sheryl Crow (Taurus AS-Moon) etc... It seems to me that they tend to show to the public different phases of them but without changing the essence (Probably because they're so affected by the changes on the moon phases).
Madonna, for example, has passed through lots of looks, haircolours & styles without changing totally herself. How do you feel about this? Do you agree or disagree?

I have one of the tough moon in first houses placement and it conjuncts ascendant...Yeah my moon in first house is in the apex of my T-Square and a leg of YOD!!! So it is heavily afflicted but... In vedic astrology moon in first is most fortunate placement ever since it gives intelligence, very good looks and abundance.(Madonna iq = 140, my iq is 137). But if the moon is going for opposite i mean, from "square to sun" to "opposite to sun" then it becomes more fortunate. The cycle between half moon and full moon is shiny moon which is fortunate one. The rest of the cycles are less fortunate one but it still can give good look and intelligent... Anyway i USED to be over emotional since my moon in pisces. Moon in first generally makes someone popular... But a lof of mood swings even if it is in virgo.... Yeah it can create shyness but rest of factors in chart is important... many famous people have it; Lucille Ball (Moon in Capricorn conjunct Asc in the first house); Meredith Baxter (Moon in Leo conjunct Asc from the twelfth house); ;Billy Crystal (Moon in Taurus conjunct the Asc in the first house); Farrah Fawcett (Moon in Cancer conjunct the Asc from the first house); Lauren Hutton (Moon in Leo conjunct a Cancer Ascendant from the first house); Shari Lewis (Moon in Libra conjunct the Ascendant from the first); Paul Lynde (Moon in Leo conjunct a Cancer Ascendant from the first); Dolly Parton (Moon in Virgo conjunct the Ascendant from the twelfth); Erich Segal (author of "Love Story" - Moon in Libra conjunct the Ascendant from the first); Sigourney Weaver (Moon in Taurus conjunct the Ascendant from the first). But since the ascendant outside face of yours, if moon conjuncts asc., your emotions are always seeable by others..Your face expressions tend to change a lot by emotions or vibrations coming from outside... My sister have her moon conj her AC in libra in square to her mars. She show with all her appearance diplomacy and strong integrity. She always think twice before she handle. IP: Logged |

I have 1st house Moon in Taurus,
Conj ASC (29 degrees Aries),
Opp Pluto,
Trine Neptune,
Sextile Lilith,
Trine Nessus,
Conj Sedna.
In my early youth, I was very sensitive & emotionally dependent on my environment and people who surrounded me. As the years pass by, I'm learning not to take everything personally, and just let go of people & places, learn to not be hurt easily by everyone & everything...and it goes well, I'm changing...I'm still a bit of an emotional extremist, though...
As for changing my ASC, it's difficult to tell. It's not that it just gives you Cancerian quality, but if your Moon sign is different than your ASC sign, and still conjuncts it, it's even more confusing.
I kinda have Cancerian look, round face, pale skin, long nose... My Taurus moon makes me less aggressive, I think. And I'm kinda lazy, which is not an Aries treat. Aries ASC is all action, and doing things on impulse, sometimes not caring if somebody else gets hurt by your actions. Moon changes it, takes into consideration what others feel and how your action are gonna affect them... IP: Logged |

I totally agree with you! Moon in the 1st house people probably don't know how to hide their emotions, so their facial expressions, clothing & style vary depending on their emotinal status.

I have 0 degree asc and my moon is all the way at 26 degrees so it doesnt conjunct my asc does moon in first house still effect anything?IP: Logged |

I have Aqua Moon in the 1st. Moon in the 1st House makes people like you, to put it bluntly. Of course there are exceptions but overall it makes a person come off as very soft and pleasant and harmonious which will draw people to them. Depending on the house Cancer rules in your chart it will have different effects. If it rules the 7th or the 10th it will draw people towards you, more so that other house rulerships. It makes you a magnet and people will flock to you, it becomes very easy for you to make things happen as you have the backing of the public and important people. If it rules your second you may be seen as an especially maternal or nourishing figure, and this can become a source of wealth for you. Possibly something like a nurse, maybe a cook. Anything involving taking care of people and making them feel good. If it rules the 5th it makes you a very sensual person who likes art and food or just having fun in general. Basically, the house it rules will flavor your ASC with those house qualities and people will know you for those types of things.IP: Logged |

Yes, you still have 'lunar' traits, colored by the sign of the ASC and the Moon.

From what I've heard, a 1st house Moon native will exhibit Cancerian traits or even have a slightly Cancerian appearance, being that the first house represents a part of your appearance, your approach to things and how people first see you.I've often heard it to be a placement where the person where's their heart on their sleeve and is sensitive. I'm a very late degree Leo Rising with a Virgo Moon, so my Moon falls in my first house and I can attest to this. I used to be very sensitive and not able to cover up my emotions at all. It's something you learn to work out over time (or, as the chart progresses). ------------------

i do have lunar traits and look cancerian lol BUT i also have saturn at 12 degrees in my first house that sucks so i have cancer and capricorn in my first house and they are opposites GREAT -_- would i be more capricorn because saturn is 12 degrees and closer than my moon? IP: Logged |
