I have gotten more and more admiration for Coffee as time has gone on.
He speaks his mind ,directly. He tells his truth bluntly.
You know SOMEONE is home, a real person, not a mask.
I am Mars in Cancer. I strive to be all those things.It is not natural to me at all.
Can anyone talk about Mars in Scorpio vs Mars in Cancer. Thanks!------------------

My Mars in Cancer is conjunct my moon( 7 degrees)
If I love someone,I will fight with all my heart and soul for them.
I will not care what arrows pierce me. That must be the Mars in Cancer, the Mother Mars.
I just cut off my mother after so many years of sorrow.
Finally, I snapped. Cancer Mars/moon snaps .It is a weird thing when that happens.
All their love ,passion,intensity, care and drive dies --in an instant.
I never noticed this with myself but I have it.
If I am pushed over that edge, I amputate.I don't seek revenge.
It doesn't matter. The person is dead to me.
They are invisible ,gone like a outline of a person in a crime scene.

Well done Ami with post 10,000. Wow.I can speak nothing of experience with these two, but only offer thoughts... Mars is at home in Aries. Cancer is a square away, with Scorpio being a quincunx away. The stronger of the two seems to be Mars in Cancer, as the aspect is better. IP: Logged |

Cancer Mars feels fallen. It feels like it is in a place that it does not like and does not feel comfortable like a girl trying on her mother's high heels

i wouldn't say i'm confrontational at all, if i feel the issue can be resolved quickly and without too much fuss then i will be the first to say something, otherwise i'm quite indirect and usually can't be bothered with other peoples anger and stress lol this mars in cancer can be rather sexy at times too  i want to blame my mars in cancer and venus in virgo, both in fall, for all of the bad luck i have had in love. they stink but i will stay true to myself and stick with my beliefs and needs. I think Mars in any of the water signs is not really a good placement. Mars wants direct action, confrontations and aggressiveness. All of which water signs are not comfortable with.But I guess Mars in Cancer is a weaker position than Mars in Scorpio, just because Scorpio is usually more direct than Cancer, so the energies blend better. from my experience Cancer Mars is the better kisser and better intamately. But the Mars Scorpio guy is a good friend of mine when he isn't under the influene. LoL
And the Cancer Mars guy I've cut completly out of my life. I had too. And have vowed not to ever go for a guy like that ever again.

Mars in Cancer people tend to be Passive-Agressive, while Mars in Scorpio people do really can hurt you on the nerve when they want and when you can even notice it!IP: Logged |

It is so weird as a Mars in Cancer, I see that part of me that cuts someone off as if they are dead,gone.
I hang on with every fiber,long after it is wise.
Then,in an instant the person is gone as if they never existed.
Who am I that I can DO this?

Since Scorpio was also ruled by Mars wouldn't that make it "stronger" in the astrological sense? I don't know... all I know is that my Mars is difficult for me sometimes. IP: Logged |

Mars is Scorpio is better and stronger than Mars in Cancer cuz Mars in Cancer is in the fall.
It is an impaired Mars.The cardinal sign does not effect that fact.
Mars in Scorpio is a favorable Mars.------------------

My opinion: using terms like "impaired" without even looking at the CONDITION of the mars in the natal chart is lame. We can't just say a Mars is weak because its in the fall, that's not good research at all. I'm not discounting people's experiences, but I am thinking of the newbie to astrology who comes here and decides they suck now because their mars is in cancer. We could, however, go into the reasons why it is considered fall. Ex. cancer is not direct, which is totally un-marslike...thus making it "fall". But is it automatically weak? Answer: Have you the seen charts of some legendary athletes? They do carry this placement. My mars is in Aries, its most dignified position, but its also hampered by a T-Square so I can't completely go by that dignity otherwise I'm missing the whole picture. IP: Logged |

Still doesn't change that I think you're being too simplistic about matters regarding falls and dignities. From my intuitive experience, I don't think Scorpio is anymore a comfortable placement for mars than cancer is...for the exact same reason I listed above, yet technically its a dignified mars. I am thinking that the Cancer Mars will only go in a direct aggressive fashion such as an Aries Mars or be very intense in passion like a Scorpio Mars when she is fighting for her nest.
Then the side ways walk goes direct like a direct frontal attack.
Other than that,drive is very hard.For me, drive and aggression always must be forced ,to some degree.
I must gear myself to get out of my sideways walk and to confront something directly.
To make myself go direct feels like I am swimming underwater.
I have to exert force but I can do it.
It feels like I must fight an outer force such as water or gravity in order to use my drive.
Do other Cancer Mars have this?

I have a friend who have mars in scorpio. Usually she represses her anger, she doesn't like confrontations or arguments (maybe it is because mars is retro). But when she feels really bad or when you do something or even just look bad at her friends she snaps! And when that happens, it's frightening! Her voice becomes really cold and she says the most stingy and nasty things on purpose, but she never yells or anything, it is really calculated anger, it's like she wants to destroy emotionally the cause of her anger.
And I might add that once I saw her (a thin and tiny woman, 4.8ft) punch a hole in a wall, scary!IP: Logged |

Ami Ann! you re Cancer Mars too?? I knew I liked you for a reason! What you just said TOTALLY resonates with me - and apart from Pluto which is generational, Mars is the only planet in water for me...I am extremely attracted to water signs (men especially, since Mars also indicates ideal male in womens charts) or people with some major planet(s) in Cancer...
