I KNOW Nine
You got a point.
I hear you and do factor myself in here

My water friends do NOT get this way though and *I* am the same constant in the thing.

This.

Yeah I agree with Nine here.. Fire is inpatient, Fire doesnt want to sit and talk about things for 3 hours.. Fire wants to say what it has to say and move on..
IDK.. fire doesnt really want to be cried on...
Fire's more like tell me, Ill tell you, Lets do this.. I got things to do...
Lets not dwell on it..

Fire doesnt like the "emotions" Fire just wants to hear it, then say what needs to be said, then fire wants to drop it, and move on to something else...

Ami fire doesnt "leave" you... Your taking things to personal...
Fire thinks they did what they had to do, and has now dropped it...

Figuring its up to you to take action. If fire is needed, they will be asked..

THIS, so much. I can listen to people's problems out of empathy, but in the end I can't help you if you don't want to help yourself. I am heavily water too, but maybe its my fire mars that wants to keep moving foward instead of back...or my 8th house virgo moon that does frequent spring cleaning. I am a history freak, but I have very little nostalgia for my own past. My motto is that every new year is an upgrade of the last.

Ok Ladies
I hear you
I don't claim to be perfect. It would be fair to say I have my issues

Well, the person really helped me.She really did but then got super frustrated when she saw me go back to my old ways .
I guess I am very imperfect and she is ,too.

May I make a suggestion?

Ami, are the fire-influenced women you talk about in real life or also online, and do you know and Lioness also in real life or just online?

That aside, I've seen the same thing happen in my social circle. But somehow I just don't seem to be able to sustain a good relationship with women who are predominantly water. I suppose my Scorpio sun in 12th attracts them at first because it feels a bit lonely surrounded by all that fire and air (and earth, let us not forget, although it is negligeable in my chart - I do miss having some earth) but then it often turns out that we simply do not see eye to eye - of course because I am predominantly fire and I either find the water-dominated women too deep and... Nostalgic, perhaps? I find that those women I meet with a lot of water do spend a lot of time lingering in the past, or lingering in general. Or they find me too direct and insensitive (funnily enough) - I do have a tendency of "pulling" as it were, someone forward if they spend too much time in one spot, regardless of whether they want to be pulled away from there or not

Looking at my personal experience then, Ami, your theory certainly hits home!

The people are both off and on line Aya.

I really want to add that I am not blaming anyone-myself or any Fire sign person.
Everyone has issues.
We all want to connect so I was just exploring MY connections with Fire element woman.

If it helps, I didn't feel like you were blaming anyone

If the women are both off- and online, I'd say the exception just sets the rule. If you are good friends with one or two women with predominantly fire, that doesn't mean you should suddenly be able to get on with all the others

OK
I was sitting on the porch thinking about this.
Fire is action.Water is more process.
For me, my son has had the same "problem" at work for a year but HE is growing and getting confidence.
The situation is the same .IOW,he has the same job but HE has changed inside.
To me,as a water sign I think process change is bigger than situational change.
I think that is part of it.

Fire wants to see concrete action while water sees that if the container i.e. YOU change then there has been REAL change.

Does this make sense to anyone?

I guess for me as a water moon,I realize that where you go,you go.
I have traveled quite a bit.I have had many fascinating life experiences but I always brought ME.
Hence,I had a bad time

To me, the situation means MUCH less than the process.
I think I have seen one of the issues between fire and water.

Been contemplating these elements all day.
Fire is the father, the male, the hunter/yang
He needs to go out and gather food.He needs to protect the family, the woman and the children.

Water is the mother, passive vs active, the nurturer rather than the one who pushes the children out of the nest/yin

These two elements are antagonistic to each other on their own.

So,fire would push one way.Water would pull the other.

Fire and water don't and can't mix according to the 5 element theory.

This is prolly the root of these issues with fire woman.
Each element exists for it's own particular purpose.
Neither is right or wrong. Each has it's own nature.

Say in a world where there was a pure fire person and a pure water person, they would not mix. Period.

A pure Fire person and a pure air person would fuel each other.
The flame would burn on and on, the air fueling the fire. The fire being fed by the air to burn greater.

I will have to check the rest of elements.I can't remember.
You can put them together in a practical, earth bound way .They work the same in the charts ,I am thinking.
I learned this when I studied Accupuncture.
The 5 element theory is how they cure disease.

Actually, water makes the land fertile with vegetation, and that would be why earth and water go together traditionally. Mud/sod/whatever is actually very good fertilizer....just look at the Nile Delta.

Back to the Elements.
Do earth and water mix. I think earth contains water such as the oceans.
Water is held and received by earth.
So, I THINK these two elements are compatible as are fire and air.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.

So, a pure water person would go well with a pure air person.
