Hi All,

I love my girlfriend but we tend to have issues over how we express our love.. This is generally expressed with me offering emotional support and her preferring either time alone or more practical support..
we have some good synastry and some bad..

The major concerns for me are:

Her mars square my mars (exact!)
Her Juno retrograde conjunct my Sun + Venus (1 and 2 deg)
Her North node square my sun and venus!! (I'm sure this is supposed to be bad?)

how bad are these contacts? and are they likely to cause the problems in our expression of love?

I was thinking it might be my mars sqaure her saturn but that is a 7 degree orb.. How significant could that be?

If I vould figure out how I would post the full synastry! I'm sure there are some good points! lol Particuarly with eros/psyche, mercury and her sun + venus in my 7th house..

If someone explains how I could post the synastry chart?

Thanks :-)

Retro doesn't matter with Juno, I don't think

I am not that good without the degrees
It seems like a bunch of stuff squares Neptune. It would seem like the relationship might feel fuzzy and undefined.
She is so intense with her huge conjunction -Sun,Mars(Aries) and Taurus Venus.
I cannot imagine how it would feel to have all of those conjunct?
What do you think of what I just wrote?

Thanks Ami
I think you are right with the neptune squares causing the realtionship to feel undefined sometimes, at least from my point of view. She says that I dont need to worry about that and I do trust her. But her occasional lack of 'lovey dovey' stuff makes me feel unsure as to where I stand (I'm not always sure if thats an expression of my natal or our synastry!)..I think her venus loosely squares her neptune and my neptune interacts with this which prob doesnt help.

As for how her Sun, Mars, Venus conjunction feels(I think you mean her venus is in late pisces), I always presumed that it would provide a consistency between, ego, actions and love but she can be intense, normally privately, and only wants to socialise when in a good frame of mind. She has suffered with depression. I thought that might be down to her sun opp moon (v. loose orb) or her north node in 12th house? What do you reckon?

IMO, Your problems seem tied to her moon placement (how we want to be supported), especially with it being opposite her pisces sun and venus. Virgo Moon and Taurus Moon may both be earth moons, but in Taurus the moon is exalted and therefore comfortable, while in Virgo it struggles with expression...it believes essentially in keeping things simple. We're not the most sentimental of the Moon signs and that can be problematic for Taurus. I think you were both drawn together initially by the sun/moon polarities in both your charts though, and your Ascendants conjunct (pretty much the alignment of all your angles) is pretty powerful. But I also do see neptune being problematic, its generational for her so this relationship may reinforce feelings of not knowing quite where she stands and who she is as a person.

Juno to Sun/Venus contact is not bad at all, even if it is retrograde. Its a very strong contact in my experience.

Thanks Benedict. Thats really helpful.

I think the description of her virgo moon is accurate. She prefers more practical demonstrations of love e.g. cooking, shopping, DIY/home improvements etc but I prefer more sentiment and in some ways idealistic or romantic expression. That can cause misunderstandings. Do you think this 'misunderstanding' between my taurus moon and her virgo moon would feel less pronounced if the trine was exact, with a tight orb?

I do think that our shared sun/moon polarity means we share that challenge, despite it not being a synastry aspect, its like we share that inner/outer conflict?

As for neptune, your description is again accurate. She is very good at adapting her style to talk to people. Almost adopting their expectations as her mannerisms. We all do that to some extent but it is more pronounced with her. I also think my Mars is a loose conjunction with her neptune, how do you think that plays out?

i'm a taurus moon and we just want to support, hold, cuddle, BE with our lovers don't we, especially if they are upset.

my daughter is a virgo moon, wide orb but still trined to mine. we are thick as theives whatever that means but our emotional expressions and needs are very different. she will tell me she wants a hug if she's upset, but won't come to me for it usually (unless it's an owie or she's feeling shy. then she's glued to my lap!) and she's always busybusybusy which is tiring to me cuz i love calm. but somehow there is a great compliment; she's like the wildflowers blowing in the wind and i'm like the solid boring placid earth beneath her.

if you understand her temperament and don't take it personally, then what is the problem? i ask because as a taurus moon (and others i've known and loved- most of my best friends through my life have been taurus moons) i just desire to be supportive and solid for my partner; that calm place they can go that it might be hard for them to access for themselves.

Definitely. Its kind of the same kind of thing that happens between me and other 7th house suns (sun opposite asc.). You seem like you've intergrated the sun/moon polarity better than she has and may be able to help her out, though I can't say for sure. Would you agree?

The thing is, because Virgo and Taurus are essentially trine it shouldn't cause a huge problem. Maybe a minor annoyance at best, because trust me: we Virgo mooners can appreciate the overall solid support a Taurean can give. I think the problem comes with the fact that she has that Sun-Venus/Moon polarity going on. It seems to me that its playing out pretty strongly....she almost disowns her more fluid and romantic piscean nature in favor of her more emotionally modest Virgoan side, especially with her Virgo Moon being in the house of self (1st), while her pisces planets are in the house of other people (7th). Its definitely easier for her to assume Virgoan traits while pretty much projecting the Piscean.

With this one, I see you trying to confront the her straightfowardly about the issues, while she probably tries to evade the whole subject (your mars is activating a mars/neptune square in her own chart!). Tell me if I'm wrong about this, of course.

re: mars loosely conjunct her neptune -That is so true its unreal!
Also when we do confront 'intense' issues our mars square mars does not help with arguments etc!
Plus I feel like I'm moving more towards exploring my North node @ 5 deg Cancer and that too is loosely square her sun, mars and saturn!
