Not empathy, not absorbing their emotions. More like visually see them or feeling their energy if you think long and hard about it.

I get it a lot and have a 9th house leo mercury and its in the sag decanate. I've always got someone in my head, there's no mysticism with it...it's an everyday occurrence and I'm more likely to get someone just popping in for a chat about life stuff. I lived with a heavy sag partner for 5 years and he didn't seem aware of what he was doing half the time but I know he used to get the telepathy but never realised what was going on but his planets were in the 8th and he had neptune thrown in there too.

Telepathy to me is alot more rational then people think. All things mercurial are also intellectually intuitive (think of Sylar from Heroes). I've met alot of strong geminis that can instantly read people when they're focused enough.

Maybe those three I named aren't strong enough indicators in and of themselves , but psychic planets/signs in combo with mercury is a pretty strong indicator because we're still talking about the conscious mind here (the 3rd house).

My Moon in Sagittarius conjuncts his Neptune (1 deg)in his 12th house.He can communicate thro'telepathy.Most of the times,I can only receive msgs but cant seem to send much.In my opinion,this could be because I'm Mercury ruled person.Have a Gemini Asc and Mercury in 1st house (in cancer)whereas his Mercury is in his 3rd house but falls in Pisces.His Uranus is in Scorpio and mine is in 3rd (leo)

Interesting topic...

"The Neptune way is an ethereal knowing like it permeates you." This is the way I feel, I feel like feelings about others soak into me. I do meditation alone and not with others anymore as I felt too exposed.
