Hi. I was wondering if someone could take a look at these aspects and tell me what they can infer about this person's relationship with their parents from it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. So this individual has sun, moon, and mercury square saturn. They also have sun/moon opposition in their natal chart. Sun and mercury (not conjunct) are in first house libra. (Ascendant is Virgo though) Moon is opposite sun in 7th house aries. Based on this what can we infer about this person's relationship with their parents? Saturn is in 10th house cancer. Thank you for any insightful answers. ^^ IP: Logged |

Lubi, quote: Sun-moon aspects and parent-child relationships
It doesn't usually work this way. The Sun represents the way you *saw* your father.. and the Moon is the way you *saw* your mother.. and the aspect between them can represent the way you perceived their relationship (during your formative years). But in terms of the way a person gets along with their parents... the synastry between themselves and that parent would be most relevant. IP: Logged |

Sun in Libra/1st - The person saw their father as diplomatic, friendly and cordial. Their father was always willing to give advice and listen to their side of the story. He probably had a significant influence on this person's outter self and appearance (the way they behave socially and the image they project to others).Moon in Aries/ 7th - The person saw their mother as a very strong minded individual who always knew what she wanted. If there was a 'good cop'/'bad cop' scenario... The father would have played the 'good cop'. The mother had more authority in the relationship.. while the father often had to make compromises. Around the time when the child was conceived/born.. the parents had a very strong bond. They were in love and very attracted. The pregnancy was probably expected and this relationship was official/marriage. However they had very different views in terms of the way a child should be brought up.. and hence they pulled him/her in two different directions. Both of the parents were/are considered attractive/charismatic people (and they made an attractive couple!). This person has probably also inhereted that charisma. IP: Logged |

About Saturn in Cancer (and the square)... That's problematic in terms of financial and practical support. He/She was expected to do well in their career - but often the support was lacking. It's possible that this person is not very self-sufficient or that the parents did not teach him/her to be self-sufficient. Also, Belgz (a lot of people here know and miss her!) mentioned that Saturn represents grandparents. I wasn't aware of this but it seems to work in my chart. Could it be that there were problems between the parents (as a couple) - and the grandparents? IP: Logged |
