Do you find relationships with people who are open to your emotional intensity or do you tend to scare people? I wander if also being male vs being female has any bearing on difficulties in relationships. When I have dated women, they enjoyed my ability to connect on a deep emotional level. Finding a guy who is interested in that, not as easy. IP: Logged |

Quite a few people have venus conjunct pluto in scorpy since pluto moves sooo slow. I'm guessing you have to take account of orbs?? (3 degrees max) cos if it's like 6 + degrees apart, doubt it'll be that obvious.IP: Logged |

well i usually try to hide my feelings, but its hard to hide when my feelings are so strong. but ithink it depends. i have scared guys with my intensity and in a way ruined a lot of relationships with my feelings. it might be harder to find a guy whos as emotionally intense as i am.. but fortunately, my boyfriend was born the same day as i am. so i know we're on the same page haha IP: Logged |

my venus/pluto orb is 3 degrees and my conjunction is within 3 degrees of the descendent as well. plus my ascendent is taurus and my sun/mars/merc are in libra. so i think my venus/pluto conjunction in scorpio play out well in my personality

I have a venus in scorpio conjunct pluto and mars in libra(you'll see why i throw in my mars) I look at women intensely and i follow the attraction that makes my blood boil. the kind that makes your eyes cold just to sheild off feeling vibes from the other person. It gets extremely overwhelming and control is the wrong way to handle it, more like outlets for all that energy.
but i can be so attracted by a woman that i get paralyzed and caught in my own fire, and just burn myself. its hard to express as my mars in libra looks for the RIGHT expression and not SELF expression and let me tell you, venus in scorpio esp. conj. pluto DEMANDS expression. So until i express my true nature, things get more intense and the relationships gets destroyed, rsther than just expressing my intense feelings and making my relationships passionate, not intense

Wow, those are some pretty awesome insights. I find my self "pushing others away due to unbearable intensity" and I think I may also understand that paralysis you talked about. Fortunately I have a lot of placements in my chart that inspire me to "not take things seriously" and "accept my truth no matter how painful". That energy of accepting my own intense energy instead of seizing up or using it to deflect others, helps a lot. I'm also pretty "fortunate" to have Saturn square my Venus. Normally this is considered a negative aspect for Venus, but it helps me look rationally at my Venus and desire to find healthy (Saturn in Virgo) outlets for the energy. The Saturn can be both a blessing and a curse, because if I don't pay attention, Saturn will stow pieces of my feelings away without my being conscious of it. Then I walk around with general intensity attached to unrelated events. It sounds to me like your Mars in Libra just wants to channel that intensity into expression, but something else is afraid the energy will emerge as an uncontrollable Cthulhu beast. I wonder if finding other avenues to expend that energy (dancing, martial arts, art, etc...) would ease up some of that passion and leave your Venus too exhausted to paralyze you? I guess the outlet may also be best found in the house of whatever aspect views your Venus as scary. IP: Logged |

Xliro that's a great point and I've been thinking about taking up boxing classes as a way to let that intensity go somewhere constructive b/c I'm used to playing organized sports now I'm not in high school anymore and I feel like a hungry savage beast lol I just hate to feel embarrassed when all that energy comes out cuz it seems more destructive than anything probably b/c it's too bottle up IP: Logged |

I think you hit the issue right on the head there. My Mars is in Leo, so I can identify will having too much energy for any given situation. The difference between a Leo Mars and a Libra Mars is pretty strong. Leo kinda says, "If it's too hot, stay out of the kitchen" while Libra is often in a state of, "Am I doing this in a way that is pleasing and unoffensive?". Boxing sounds like an awesome outlet. The dance aspect appeals to the Libra Mars, and the needing to read people's motives aspect appeals to the Venus in Scorpio. Something I have observed in Libra and I'm not sure if you know: On the high end of the Libran spectrum, Libra is perfect. It's Libra's questioning nature (having just experienced Virgo) that produces conflict. One of the major lessons for the Libran energies I have observed is the lesson of learning to "just be natural", "Just Do It" (to quote Nike). Naturally Libra is balanced and beautiful. Anyone who has studied mathematics or philosophy is aware that beauty is a mathematical process (The Golden Ratio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio ). The Venus side of Libra is constantly looking to adjust self or environment to fit the equation. I have been doing a lot of work with Eris as Libra's ruler. That has indicated the Eris side of Libra must learn to overcome feeling like the world must fit an equation. All great imbalances are tiny harmonies when one zooms out and listens to the entire symphony. Eris can pull Libra so deep into an imbalance or conflict, they feel the world can't go on until it's harmonized; "This is flawed...FLAWED I TELL YOU!.... <look>,<look> Does nobody else see how flawed this is?". If that energy is directed at the self, I can imagine paralysis being a light description. I would even call that almost a panic attack. Do you know what house your Eris is in? IP: Logged |

For two seconds, I read the topic to myself as "Venus in Scorpio... Do you need to be committed?... to a mental ward"LOL, JK... please don't yell at me. The craziest girl I've ever known has a Scorpio Sun, Venus in Scorpio, Aquarius Mars, and Libra Pluto. We worked together at a summer camp, and despite the fact that she had been dating this Taurus for three years and was ENGAGED... she declared passive aggressive, psychotically obsessive batsh*t insane emotional warfare on me when I hooked up with another counselor (a Leo) that she had an INTENSE crush on. In fact, a lot of us were pretty sure that she ended up cheating on her Taurus with the Leo at the end of the summer. She tried to get me fired, attempted suicide and blamed ME, and did all sorts of passive aggressive things towards me that summer. She's actually still with that Taurus... After three years of being "engaged", she still hasn't married him. I have no idea how the Taurus has been able to stay with her for six years... IP: Logged |

That was actually my intention. Sometimes I wonder if letting us roam free is a wise decision. =) IP: Logged |

I totally agree with you in that I also become a totally different person when romance is involved. I become jealous, possessive, paranoid, suspicous, insecure, reclusive, etc. My Sag moon and Cap sun help stabalize me and keep me generally optimistic about things even when they get crazy. I think Venus in Scorpio needs to learn to find, accept and exorcise her demons before she tries to love another. IP: Logged |

Good point, I know whenever I feel emotionally inhuman, I stop pursuing relationships with others and devote time to a relationship with the self. Sadly that means no casual sex for me either. All that energy exchange with no intent for creation, leaves me pretty broken.
