Please tell me your North Node and the ruling planet and which house that planet is in.For instance: My North node is Pisces, which is ruled by Neptune. My neptune is in the 9th. I feel my soul's purpose in live is to be a missionary/work abroad to help those less fortunate or those in need of refuge. IP: Logged |

I can see how that fits. The 9th also has to do with your perspective and may suggest that there is a need to appreciate a boundaryless higher mind. I suspect that your higher mind is a compassionate one that needs to take care that it doesn't over sacrifice. Mine is in Capricorn in the 2nd and ruling planet Saturn sits in Cancer on the south node in the 8th. It's considered to be in mutual reception and offers support and structure to the past but also indicates that the past is tied into the future. The north node in Capricorn in the 2nd tells me that I'm learning about what is useful and how we ultimately value that which can be put to use. It offers a chance to be organized and practical (trines both the vrigo mc and taurus mars in the 6th) which is great because everything in my chart is in aspect to Neptune and I have a lot of fire. Recognising status and the benefits of it is actually very difficult for me and I have little respect for what is commonly accepted. So I can see why I'd have a cap north node. IP: Logged |

My North Node is in Aries in 6th house. It's ruler, Mars is in Capricorn in 3rd house. What does it mean? A career in writing maybe? This could be my path of life?IP: Logged |

Specifically I'd say it's asking that you be your own boss..as in self employed. The 6th house is the house of work and service. The north node in aries is very much about independence and self reliance. The 3rd house is about communication and information gathered and shared, it's also connected to the immediate environment. Speaking is a 3rd house matter as is writing and mars in capricorn usually has a very strong work ethic. For a career out of writing you need to look to the mc and merury, and a few other things. Your 3rd and 6th suggests writing could be a tool used but look at the asc/mc (and aspects from planets to these angles)to see whether people will see you as a writer....if that makes sense. Alice Portman has a good article on how to work out the career here http://aliceportman.com/?p=1310 IP: Logged |

Well... my Mercury is conjunct MC in Leo, is trining Saturn and it's squaring ASC in Scorpio. Saturn is in 1st house though. IP: Logged |

Having saturn in the 1st isn't a bad thing...it has to be in the chart somewhere. You need to play around with your chart a bit and follow those steps that Alice talks about and then see what you come up with. The themes that come up will most likely narrow down to the area that you want to write about...or the stories that you want to create. IP: Logged |

North Node in Aries in the 11th house. The ruling planet, Mars, is in Capricorn in the 7th house.Purpose would be relationships, or to maintain independence in relationships? Hmmm, not sure, I never really understood the North Node. IP: Logged |

In the 11th it probably indicates that if you want to be a part of a group then you'll have to be the leader or at least the initiator of the group coming together. Or groups that lean towards action and adventure, trekking with other may give you a huge amount of satsifaction on an inner level. Mars in the 7th in cap may be indicating that you'll achieve your north node through partners that are useful but I'm just sat here now wondering if either of you north node aries people have mars squaring your nodes? Which would indicate an obstacle to overcome or things you need to take into account before you can fully achieve whatever it is that you need. IP: Logged |

North Node in Pisces Neptune in the 12th (also opposite SN ruler in the 6th) Probably service/altruism to those who are marginalized, sick, or in institutions. Hospital Work. I would say I'm on the right track.

No.. I'm not saying to use the house the North Node is in - I'm saying to use the house that contains the planet ruler of your North Node... it's different.IP: Logged |

Pisces is associated with a lot of things. Helping others in one of them. But even helping others can take different forms. It need not only be by being a missionary. You can help people in any profession. For example, you can start a non-profit organsation for a cause or even research for the cure of cancer (you'll be helping a lot of people this way). Being a missionary, you might feel like you can't help people on a large scale. If you're a water sign, seeing people's miseries at such close quarters might make you look at the world in a hopeless light or become frustrated and sad instead of happy. Do you feel comfortable when people share gory details of their lives and past? But you should definitely help people because that's a very noble goal and something that very few people do today. But being a social worker/missionary is not the only way of helping people. Have a great life! IP: Logged |

I could never get my NN "situation" because it's very contradictory. NN in Pisces, conjunct Mercury, conjunct Vertex, all in Pisces, square a Moon-Mars-Jupiter group in 0 degree Gemini, and in the 6th house(if I use Placidus).I mean, there's no way to interpret this. NN conjunct Mercury would mean I will fulfill my destiny by using my Mercury skills. Mercury also rules my Virgo AC. So, I have to be a Pisces in the 6th, using my Mercury, and Vertex(although dunno how the Vertex works). One way that I like to see this is someone who finds scientific application/practical application(6th house, house of Virgo) for Pisces intuition. Dunno what to make of Moon Mars, Jupiter squaring my Nodal Axis. One theory I read said that I need to develop traits symbolized by those planets in order to reach my destiny, which would make sense, because I have issues with being confident and pushing myself towards what I want, and being optimistic and stuff, as shown by Mars and Jupiter, I guess I am not very Moony, either. Not very in touch with my most basic femininity and nurtuting side. A more fatalistic description I read said that with planets square the Nodal Axis, those planets are in your way to success. My NN is in Taurus 2nd house. Taurus' ruler, Venus, is in the first house, conjunct Mars in Aries. Anyone have insights into that? IP: Logged |
