Well of course, Saturn causes restrictions but its also the glue. Saturn is good to have for long term relationships, its keeps them together. But there may be some blocks at first is all.

You know what I noticed with the long-lasting couples I researched, they all had Cancer/Capricorn on angles in their chart, or their angle rulers were in strong aspect to Saturn.....could be coincidence.

Yep, Saturn is glue for better or worse. And some of those examples you named are proof in the most literal sense.
