Thanks!
South Node represents your comfort zone from the past (or past lives) that you are meant to be moving away from, and North Node is a new area of experience that you are meant to be moving towards in order to fulfull your current life purpose. In synastry, the conjunction (which is really an opposition between the respective North Nodes) between the N & S nodes can indicate a very significant past life link .... BUT .... take care that you do not keep each other stuck in your comfort zones, preventing each other from moving forward in your respective life purposes. You need to be very aware of this, so that you don't both stagnate in your comfort zones. The challenge to break through this and allow each other to move forward in spite of your instinct to hold each other in the past could be significant.
Ultimately, any major tight NODE/NODE aspect in synastry is a soulmate indicator - although in your case it may be quite karmic as it is a stress aspect.
The best soulmate-type Node/Node aspects are the conjunction and the trine. With the conjunction, you may find that the pair live in their own little bubble, perhaps even working together trying to achieve the same goal. With the trine, their individual goals will be different, but the pair can easily support each other's progress and there is a harmony of understanding about what each other are trying to achieve in life.
The square is probably the most difficult, as the couple will feel a strong connection, but their individual goals are at odds with one another.
