I have experience in synasty only. I was the venus in exact opposition to his Neptune.
My guess for this aspect in a man's chart would be that he did not see love clearly.He did not see the mundane work of a relationship.
He would want it to remain as a musical only.Once any real life parts touched it as it does all relationships,he would be gone thinking that love should always be dreamy and beautiful--not dirty dishes or dirty diapers. That is my thought on it. Does that ring true to you? IP: Logged |

Haha, the irony is I'm the same way. That is why we are really good friends, we just get each other, we have the same sense of humor, and I really want to be more than just friends, but I don't know how to go about it. If you get a chance can you check out his chart?

I have to agree with Ami, that was my experience with a man that had the opposition, gem/sag. He was quite the cheater too, when ever it got too mundane for him he'd say he was bored and off he went.I know a ton of women with the same placement and once committed, none of them cheat. As for the guy I am using as an example, he had the placement on the 5/11 axis too, neptune in sag in the 5th with jupiter squaring venus in the 11th. He also has a 12th house stellium and that played a role. He liked fantasy and he liked to have someone aside from his wife that he could fantasize about when he was alone in his private world. He kept the mistresses at arms length to maintain the illusion of perfection. Quite an amazing chart and quite an amazing person but used his gifts in a most damaging way. He was attracted to pisces/neptunian types as they tended to find some kind of nobility in his behavior.

Oh that is terrible, I hope you weren't one of the mistresses. But if you look that this person particular chart, you'll notice he has Scorpio Moon in the 4th house, which makes him rather sentimental, so I don't think he has the tendency to cheat, but maybe he does distance himself from girls, in order to not get get hurt?

Planet queen, I don't mean to raise alarms though I'm giving a worst case scenario example. As I mentioned, the women I know with that aspect don't participate in the lower expression of it, it's a matter of free will. In my example, he chose that behavior and I consider it a lazy way to express oneself, not to mention-damaging. Another person with the same aspect could easily be a gifted artist or poet. I get a sense that your culprit here is not Venus oppose Neptune but Neptune in the 5th oppose Chiron in the 11th.
He is a Leo Sun, Leo ASc with Sun in the 1st house.
Ruler of the 1st in the 1st is a self centered guy--no less in Leo lol
We all have our various slices and so does he.
He has moon in Scorpio which is very different than Sun in Leo--almost opposite in that Leo is outward and Scorpio is inward.
The Sun is favored in Leo and in it's . Fall in Scorpio.
Right there,you have almost 2 different people in one.
Am I right,so far?------------------

You add Venus in Cancer in the 11th and you got another different energy there--VERY different.
Venus in cancer is a warm fuzzy. Moon in Scorpio is a psycho lol The Venus conj Chiron adds a LOT. His lobe nature is associated with pain--very much soin a conj even though it is a little wide 6 degrees.
Venus sq Mars exact.His desire to love wars with his drives and aggressions.
I think that he is afraid to be tender.
Am I right? ------------------

His Mars is in Aries.His Venus is in Cancer. these are VERY different energies. This emphasizes the disparity between the warm fuzzy, homebody venus fighting the fighter, bold, direct and outspoken Mars.
I see this as one of his biggest issues especially cuz it is exact.

His moon is in the 4th making it a more inward moon too cuz it is in Cancer 's house.
Sun trine Uranus and Saturn (exact and one deg)
THIS is a whole new twist to him.He is a rebel too,
Plus,he has good discipline.
Merc trine Neptune.He has a good imagination, loves fantasy and flights of fantasy although he may have to develop this vs it's coming naturally------------------

Venus trine Pluto gives him sexy vibes. He has good intuition in matters of love.All in all, my sense is that he has LOTS of compartments.
Is that your feeling.He seems schitzy in that he is a little bit of everything.
Do you feel that?
if I had to say ONE thing that would make having a relationship with him hard is that he is EVERYONE --in small doses.
I find it hard to even picture him cuz of this.

Thanks, darling Ami! He definitely is sexy, in fact we are equally the same attrativeness, if that makes sense? Were both independant Leo Suns who are really tall and energetic, yet also very sensitive. Plus he knows my family, which is a big plus! My mom approves of him, and she thinks were a really good match. Plus were only 3 weeks apart, so my chart is very similar to his. Only I got Pisces Moon and Gemini Venus and I got the oppositions from Saturn/Uranus to my Venus in the 7th. IP: Logged |
