Topic: People with Mercury squares-Not Nice?

Hi, I just thought I'd start this topic..sort of in line with a previous post about Pluto in the 3rd.
Since Mercury rules young people, maybe siblings, cousins and all that, I am guessing that people with Mercury squares are not particularly "popular" or likeable".
I have 3 squares involving Mercury, so I am kind of feeling this one.
Mercury square Moon, Mercury square Mars, Mercury square Jupiter.
Out of the 3, the square to Mars must be the worst, of course..I am naturally aggressive and may seem sharp-tongued even when I don't mean to.
On the bright side, almost incapable of lying. The downside is being too honest.lol.
I almost cannot be without arguments, at times, and, like one description said, people with this aspect basically expect misunderstandings to happen. IP: Logged |

I have Mercury Sag in the 9H & I also have Mercury square Jupiter (3) along w/ Mercury square Moon (7). I don't like to agrue, usually I just let it go unless I feel strongly about it. My mom has Mercury square Mars in her chart and she refuses to be wrong. Shes not that way all the time but when she has to be right there's no turning back.IP: Logged |

Not just they r incapable of lying(MercSqMars) but,if they try,as an experiment,they can tell lie in the most believable manner,that is just fantastic,though wrong 
I have seen it in many politicans' charts.
I wouldn't connect Merc's squares and being disliked.IP: Logged |

You got it, it's the Mars to Merc, the Merc to Jup just exaggerates...ugh if Mars and Jup are conjunct that could be really bad. The worst is if they're conj in fixed signs, then you're on your own. If Cardinal you need to be in charge of and leading something, like yesterday. If they're mutable then you're just very facile and would be good in work such as advertising, or somesuch, a writer, reporter, journalist, etc.

I can be quite bitter but most of the time I think i'm pretty nice as I get older I get furious at my mom a lot! and I can snap at her and I think it's okay because of all the subtle yet damaging events in my childhood ...I have a leo moon she has an aries moon ...I do usually fell bad afterwards I hate seeing her upset IP: Logged |

My ex had progressed mercury in scorpio conjunct (not square) mars in scorpio whilst we were together. Absolutely incapable of giving a compliment even though we were together 3 years and some so he must have liked our relationship. He was harsh, severe and critical. His tongue was really something to behold. Most of his other planets progressed to sagittarius, foot in mouth disease. He thought cause he was positive and optimistic he could say some really damaging things, he just pushed me away. His lack of air meant relationships were not easy for him. Yet when we were out socialising he was Mr Ok! I looked up 'abusive' relationships and it was heading that way. IP: Logged |

my mercury is conjunct mars in libra, sqaure uranus by like 1 degree, sqaure saturn, sqaure jupiter, sqaure neptune (but the last 3 are a bit wide towards mercury but since its conjunct my sun/mars and theyr sqaure it pretty close i guess it counts)i would say that when i was younger i was very arguementative and sometimes very bold in my speech. i would say mars gives a satirical streak. i was very agressive but very sensitive at the same time haha. i guess becuase not just in my speech, my behavior was very erratic and a little crazy i either made friends or enemies. iguess i was fairly likeable but i deffinately burnt my bridges a lot. thats probably becuase my venus is conjunct pluto in scorpio conjunct the descendent. How did this compare with his natal placements? Was saturn or Pluto involved natally with his mars or mercury?

He had a very strong saturn (saturn trine sun and saturn in cancer conjunct moon in cancer). I have heard saturn in cancer is malicious so maybe it was that. Also with sun mars and venus in scorp he has strong pluto influences. Don't know time of birth just date of birth. That relationship is what got me into astrology, i always get date of birth now before dating so any possible problem areas are avoided,(look at natal and progressed) yet astrology is only one strategy I use.
In composite we had pluto trine sun, saturn square pluto, mars square pluto and mercury square pluto.
In the synastry we had venus (me) square neptune (him and he cheated).

Mercury square Mars here. It was really hard as a teenager. Most of the things coming out of my mouth sounded rude and spiteful. Very verbally aggressive aspect. BUT I don't have that problem anymore. I think it may be Mercury conjunct Venus taking over.IP: Logged |

square ascendant and pluto (a kind of a t-square)It rules my 3rd house which starts at 29° gem. I'm not intentionally rude, but i might get across as such. It is mostly due to the fact, that i have trouble expressing myself in a way that others would understand (square to asc). I have to repeat myself all the time and for that reason, i rather shut up and don't speak at all. I am unable to present my ideas in groups, even though that's what i should be doing. I think. I don't know where i broke my brain, but this thing ain't working when i need it (mercury singleton "quality").

Never heard that theory about popularity... usually people who are popular have personal planet connections to generational planets (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto). If they have Sun trine Pluto natally, for example, they'll have Sun trine Pluto with everyone around them.IP: Logged |
