I was in the changing room today, didn't notice £7 on the floor. As I walked out a lady pointed to me that I dropped change. I said "I don't think thats mine". She went "If you don't want it, I'll have it" at which point I thought I might have dropped it when I took my jacket off, I've lost notes before. I told her I was going to have a look to see if I dropped it. By the time I was done checking, she had disappeared.

When I figured I hadn't dropped it, my first thought was "I should take it to the counter and let them know!". What is wrong with me? I even took it to the counter with the intention of telling them someone had dropped the change! At this point I thought may be I should just keep it, that is what most people would do anyway.

Being a Cap, I stick to rules but does sun sign have a role to play in this? I'm not that naive/innocent...really! My question is quite random but what makes someone honest/sincere?

Here's my chart

To be honest, if that's your first instinct how can that be bad? There should be more people like that on this planet!

But, I can imagine that if you'd go to the reception desk with only a note, to say someone has lost it, they would probably either laugh at you or tell you to keep it anyway. Really cruel reception employees would probably say "Oh don't worry, we'll try to bring it back" and keep it for themselves. But there's no way of finding out whom a £7 belonged to.

Funny thing it, I'd do the same if my common sense didn't tell me that it's pointless to do that anyway, but instead of picking it up and keeping it for myself, I'd just leave it there. Not my money, not my right to pick it up.

They do say Sag Mercs are very blunt and honest and maybe the Uranus conjunct fortifies that (don't know) - I do have the same thing. It could also be the Aquarius Venus (I'm sorry, I'm kind of brainstorming here) - after all, Aquarius is a social and humanitarian sign. You can't be humanitarian without being honest, right? (Kind of why I think Uranus conjunct that Sag Merc could be strengthening that honesty)

Thanks for the reply! I did think I'd just leave it there, then I thought "No! I should take it to the counter". Its just £7 but its funny because people will generally just pick it up and keep it.

I've never paid attention to my mercury conjunct uranus aspect! Interesting one, thanks for brainstorming :P It does make sense, you can't really think of doing good for humanity without honesty.

Sincerity is a Capricorn trait.
Your Cap is conj Jupin the 7th house of others in trine with Moon, so it makes sense. On one hand you feel an obligation to others, and on another you don't really know how to be any other way. You have the fab Sun/Moon trine, so basically it's just you being you, and that is OK.

There's also the strict adherence to principle that both cap and aqua have. Sometimes it is rather the principle of the rules, or, what is theoretically morally right(even if that moral 'right' is actually conditioning/indoctrination from upbringing) over even the logic of the rational outcome.

Guys thanks for your insights! After all this time following astrology, I'm still learning new stuff everyday.

Lonake, that does sound like me. For whatever reason, I feel obliged to do do good to others and if I don't, I kind of overthink and kick myself later for not doing the right thing. I've always hated the over active 7th house but guess there are some lovely positive aspects to it
