Hi
I have noticed a pattern of people who have Jupiter in aspect to the Sun and success.
for instance one is Sun aqua conjunct jupiter aqua and he is a tech manager now, owns his own business and has a family so successful.
One is a sun libra opposite jupiter aries with also a powerhouse of sun conjunct pluto libra and is top of her field now. Another is sun aries conjunct jupiter aries and is a manager with a family so again successful. All of them have big egos as is suggested by this aspect which may also have aided their success.
Would love to know your findings too.

The ones I've known wanted to be a success and were big on the idea of acting rich and thinking rich thoughts, they always imagine themselves at the top of the heap, earned or not, deep desires to become millionaires. A little bit of recognition wasn't enough they wanted it all. You had to watch out if they weren't on top cos they'd take it out on you in lil jabs. They -had- to be the ones in the know. They loved to control information and loved being seen as a go-to reference, as if they are the only ones that had the answers, that made them feel secure and worthwhile. They safeguarded what they knew but if they liked you they'd tell you their secrets on the sly behind closed doors. Well, they had to not only like you, they had to respect you and find you as smarter than the avg Bear so-to-speak, you had to impress them somehow first. This is about the conjunction. I think it's a hedonistic aspect too, not like old Romans cavorting all over the place, but there's the feeling from them of self satisfaction and sitting on their throne with a goblet of wine in their hand. I think that's where they would feel most comfy. Their homes weren't regally decorated or anything, but it's the way they expect certain things to come to pass. Near the throne would be their book of knowledge, with a lock, but they'd never need to look into it cos it has already been absorbed, it's just there to show off

Thanks Lonake,
Interesting about the conjunction. Just tonight at a meal we were talking about a conversational topic and I picked up on the location and it was an area I had done a project on for university (and I did well at university) so said oh didn't such and such happen there. she completely dismissed it and said yes about 25 years ago, I nearly said you are wrong it happened more recently then remembered she is my boss and not to undermine her so kept my mouth shut. I prefer her as my boss to others I have had it must be said but she does like to think because she is boss in one area she is in others when she has got some facts wrong!!!

There are a few times she has done this and this is just one example but there is a pattern there and it is not dogmatic but it is ego based (aries).
Put it down to her sun jup conjunction but that is what got her to the boss position too and overall I chose to work for her.
xx

Well, i think the poster boy for Jupiter-Sun is Napoleon Bonaparte.

He had Jupiter Scorp 1st Square Sun Leo 10th. The other day i watched a documentary about him and these were the titles:
1. To destiny
2. Mastering Luck
3. Summit of Greatness
4. The End

We know the end, he pushed his luck too far in Russia, where it all went downhill for him. He believed that his was a special destiny, that he is the chosen one, etc. throughout his life. He had no doubts about his lucky star (until the bitter end). He actualy said that.
Lucky or not, he was working extreemely hard as Moon in Capricorn and Sun in 10th also suggest.

I have this square also, but i only tend to dream big, only to be later let down. Maybe that's because i'm a too surefooted goat that never pushes luck. :P

is it the luckiest aspect to have in a chart?

i think i read it somewhere like astro.com astroclick portrait.

iv sun trine jupiter. i think it's a saving grace for having so many squares and oppositions. jupiter in cap kinda lessens the expansion though i guess plus mine is retro.

Agh! Guilty as charged!

Yup, I stand here before you all, with n.Jupiter (Taurus) conjunct n.Sun (Aries). True confession time. Yup, deep down, I do like to be a know-it-all. I like to think I am smarter than others, and it's a big thing for me to do well academically. On the other hand, I know I don't measure up. I'm not a straight-A student by a longshot, but in my dreams... Ah! I have a Ph.D! Horrible, I know. I do wish I were smarter. Or at least had a photographic memory. At the end of the day, I try to remind myself that I'm just another person out there in the world. Not the smartest, but not the dumbest either. It is what it is.

Yeah, there is kind of a feeling for me that things should work out *exactly as I want them to*. Sometimes enough visualization does bring about what I want to pass. Or it did in the past. Now though, ugh. Not lately! That talent seems to be gone, or is laying dormant.

just a quick one as gotta work!
Sun opp jupiter is the libra woman with jupiter in aries, she does not have an overblown ego as there is virgo energy in her chart (6th house and venus in virgo) but she is a powerhouse with sun pluto conjunct in libra (i think of gweneth paltrow for sun pluto in libra too but that is another thread).
She has been very lucky in her career, finances, personal life, with friends. However she is very critical of others (the virgo? libra is not always diplomatic think simon cowell and ann robinson) and like the other poster put about wanting things to go a certain way, she is like that too. It has worked for her but as soon as she tries to apply it to others it doesn't work.

I have jupiter, mercury, and venus all in gemini in my 10th house. Is that good?
The mercury is retrograde though. And my sun is in the midheaven taurus (10th house cusp)

What career would be best?
