I've never in my life read anything like this. But I guess anyone can be a player. I doubt it is associated with Cancer influence - of all things. IP: Logged |

When they have a lot of water signs, they're extremely demanding of attention and tend to get it from whoever they can. The ones I know at least.IP: Logged |

Ha, I know a guy who is a Cancer and is definitely a player. But I second the person who wrote before me -- he will just go for anybody that gives him attention. Now, I know another Cancer boy who is very shy and doesn't get around much, so it really does depend on the person. IP: Logged |

Its funny you mention that because the 2 of the ones I know of are complete players, 3 are completely love shy, one was a bitter biatch (don't ask), and another one was my openly gay friend who was in a long term relationship with a closeted-gay marine who was keeping a girlfriend as a front....I felt bad for my cancer priend in that situation. To me, it varies. Playerism isn't something you can easily pinpoint to a sign, but perhaps an influence or conditioning. And I've really only known of one blogger who's associated Cancers with players, and that was based on her personal experience.

I know a Cancer man who's a total player! Sadly, I fell for it hook, line, and sinker and got my heart broke. Now I'm smarter though. LOL IP: Logged |

My boyfriend is a Cancer with Venus and Mars in Leo. He is the opposite of a "player" (hate that term, reminds me of middle school).IP: Logged |

cancers with venus in cancer won't be playerish cancers that have venus in GEM WILL DEF beSo yeah alot of cancers have venus in gem thus the flirtatious behaviour (coupled with their tendency to be insecure and manipulative (water signs generally are alittle) makes cancers often playerish IP: Logged |

@violet I know one but that i think has to do with his other placements too. But generally yes, i feel, mutable signs may seem that way. Ofcourse it all depends on the overall chart. But that flexibility aspect works against at times. Softness doesn't allow to keep up with some strong interactions which a firmer, fixed sign or an aggressive/initiating cardinal sign can. I have lot of flexibility too in my chart. Even in day to day situations i end up saying yes sometimes (or just keep quite) when i want to say no. Specially if the opposite person is very strong and/or aggressive. IP: Logged |

Not necessarily. My brother is a double cancer sun AND moon (with a Leo Venus AND Mars and a Gemini mercury, ie. so called "player planets") and he's the most placid, most faithful, committed and devoted boyfriend in the world. And his missus is a hot headed Aries too!IP: Logged |

I think he wants to be told that he's a 'player'.However, two of my close friends are Cancer Suns and they like quantity rather than quality; interestingly, they have their Venus in Gem. IP: Logged |

My grandfather was a Cancer, and he was incredibly devoted to his wife and children. I'll put it this way: if he ever did "play around" then he was the all time grand master of keeping it a secret! But I really don't think he did. There's plenty of gossip on that side of the family but I've never heard a whiff of anything like that. So, the true-blue loyal ones are out there. But it doesn't surprise me that some Cancer men become players. My general experience is that Cancer men are always drawn to femininity in some form... fascinated by it in a way I don't sense from other Sun signs. I don't know quite how to put my finger on it. Posted at 3,4,5. Along with this statement, an indication of its correctness. IP: Logged |

I think something like "being a player" has more to do with socialization/personality/life experiences & subsequent assimilation, than astrology. As Mr. Pelletier on Astrodienst explains, "Your age, sex, socio-economic situation, education, environment, level of development, and many other factors contribute to the ways in which you express your natal energies. Remember, the planets do not compel you to do or be anything. They influence you, but you still have the free will to determine your own life."IP: Logged |

I'm female, cancer sun, scorp moon and gem venus. I wouldn't say I'm a player, but I would agree with being extremely demanding of attention.... I can flirt my socks off but I would never 'play' someone. Hope that helps... IP: Logged |
