Is there a way to guess a parent's rising sign by looking at their children's rising signs (or suns)? My dad's has always been unknown, though I suspect its Libra for some reason (maybe his Jupiter is throwing me off). Anyways, there isn't a wild variety of Ascendants amongst us children, so maybe there's a clue there?

I am almost sure my dad's Asc is in Leo,just because of my younger brother,also Leo. I think it'd be healthy to presume it's Fire Asc I also suspect my mom is Air Asc,because of me.
Answer is always within immediate family.

Thats strange, never thought of that before. I'm cancer (sun) and my dad is aries but I'm convinced his asc is cancer....

Well they do say that my brother favors my father EXTREMELY in looks so I'm guessing he could be a Cap Asc...matching brother's Cap Sun and my Cap Asc. Or maybe he's a Taurus Rising like my brother, and that's where I've been gettting the outer Venus vibe from.

Does he also have some key cancerian qualities that he emphasizes or outwardly expresses? Because that's why I originally thought he was Libran...he's always about appearances, for one thing. But it doesn't really match the pattern of feminine ascendants of me and my siblings.

*Of course, there's always rectification but I do not currently have the funds for that. =__=

yes, he's to me he looks very cancerian but he's also very sensitive,his mother was everything to him, the home is very important to him, and he's not sensitive in a complex way like Scorpio...pisces just deosn''t seem to fit either...but there is definitely some water there.. gosh, I don't know how to put it in to words....I just 'feel' it OR..... if I'm wrong about him have a cancer asc, then I'd have to guess Gemini asc with cancer moon..
I wish there was a way to find out these mysteries really really bug me

Guessing ascendants is really difficult because planets augment the appearance. For example, my roommate's girlfriend is really tall and has classic Sag features so I thought perhaps she was a Sag ascendant. Turns out she's an Aries ASC with Jupiter exactly conjunct it. I look pretty stern and kind of weird (I look different depending on what angle you look at me from), I have Saturn and Uranus opposite ASC even though it's in Gemini.

Yes, that would be another issue as well (along with aspects to the potential chart ruler). I know I have a Cap Asc but with Saturn/Uranus in Sag/12th, and Asc opposite my Sun. Aside from the stern angular features (when I'm not smiling, which is often), I don't dress up much like true Cap Asc. I guess the only sure way really is to rectify his chart.
