Hello, I answered your question in the Basic Astrology Forum, "Recognising Karmic Relationships" but I could not post so I am going to answer you here.

Interesting question

Hello Tainsberry

Saturn is the Lord of Karma and the South Node is a Karmic point. Both conjunctions show a past life connection.

Quick question
which houses Rule Saturn respectively? (Capricorn on the cusp)

If it is the third house it could be a sibling connection
4th house could be a maternal connection
10th house could be a paternal connection
7th house could be a marriage or business partner. etc.

EtA. Not all Astrologers use the 4th for the Mother and 10th for the father, but I do.
Use what resonates with you.

Her Saturn (Aqua) is in her 10th house
His Saturn (Cap) is in his 3rd house
Her South Node (Cap) is in her 9th house
His South Node (Aqua) is in his 4th house

therefore
Her Saturn falls into his 4th house and her South node into his 3rd house.

His Saturn falls into her 9th house and his South Node falls into her 10th house.

Capricorn rules his 3rd house and her 9th house.

This relationship feels so locked in. The double whammy South Node/Saturn conjunction on both sides is tight. Will they ever be able to break free and stop owing each other?

Thank you. That is such a simple but profound answer. What if only one can forgive? Will the entanglement remain?

Hi Taineberry! Age old question.

You have to get to the point where you sincerely wish them well, where there is no negativity only acceptance for who they are and the sincere wish for them to be happy.

and then you let go
and a huge burden is lifted off of your shoulders.
