How bad can this be for a relationship (friendships included)? I know that Saturn is about longevity and restriction, but in synastry how can this play out?

Well, all I know is my first real relationship had their Saturn conjunct my Vertex at a 5 degree orb. I don't know if that is a tight enough orb for synastry.

But it felt fated to me and I never felt that way about anyone else...it was very hard to end it.

Thanks CancerRising. Did you feel at all like you were being suffocated or controlled? I don't understand the vertex or how it plays out in synastry. I know it points to significant people in our lives, but is it purely a good thing?

Someone posted (sorry I can't remember your name) that having the Vertex in natal 7H means that you wait for your twin soul and usually end up with them and that somehow Saturn figures into this with the transits. So, if someone's Saturn conjuncts your Vertex would this be of any significance? Also, would transiting Saturn represent that person when TSaturn is about to conjunct TJuno and natal Juno?

Im waiting for my soul mate
no luck yet.. lol

I was married, when T.Saturn hit my Vertex (in virgo) my husband was taken out of the house and taken away.. The marriage ended due to that...
IT was a tough time.

Lioness, if I knew how to make an icon where its jaw drops I would right now. Taken from your home? I hope this means that you are better off without him since this happened. TSaturn conjunct your Vertex when you got married? I'm assuming that things were bad or headed south between you because of Saturn. Am I right? Also, you were young and he took on an authoritarian/bossy/controlling role? I mean no offense by my speculation. Just trying to learn more.

Well I said it a bit wrong.. I was married (before) then once T.Saturn hit my vertex my husband was then taken away.. (this after 10 years of marriage)
Him being taken away was the start of everything going down hill.. But yes its for the better.. A series of events followed..
No he wasnt bossy or controlling.. I got married at 27.. This happen when I was 35/36

Oh, okay. No, I think I read it wrong. I'm glad things are better.

Gosh, Saturn can be a prick when it comes to lessons. A tad off, but what aspects does your Saturn make? And which house is it in natally? My theory is that the aspects and placement can tell us about the lessons we have to learn in relation to the 7th house Vertex. My Saturn doesn't aspect any of my planets, but does a few asteroids, and is in my 10H. My guess is that my lessons are tied with my career and marriage. With the South Node there (out of aspect) I may make the same mistakes as I did in past lives by making my career more important than family. Might be going too far now...

I think 5 degree orbs alittle wide ^^^^

I have my vertex and juno both conjuncting my desc by 1 degree lol... So I do find my relationships always have a fated feel (and based on the synastry, most of the time there is a karmic element too)

I recently met a guy who has his south node conjunct my vertex, desc (exact conjunct) and juno all by 1 degree. (so obv north node exact conjunct asc) which is pretty interesting, think he'll be teaching me things too?

My Saturn is in Gem in H3 but also conjucnts the IC.

Aspects to Saturn
conjunct IC
sq Asc/Dsc
Opps MC
Trine Uranus
Sextiles, Sun,Moon,Merc
(also mars but a bit wide)
Cap rules H11 and also NN in Cap

I always feel like all my relationships with other people are fated, even if they dont really aspect my vertx...
I was thinkng this is because Vertex in H7..

My lessons are with other people... Work is the place where I shine the most (packed Leo H6) but I still have a few issues with people at work.. But its not to bad there..
My boss calls me his lil bit bull.. lol

BTW... my and my ex husband have a both way vertex conjnct anti vertex.
So t.Saturn was conjunct his anti vertex.
