I get along very well with Aquarius, especially the men. I often find we not understand each other's idiosyncrasies but truly accept them. Cancer women appreciate their steadfastness even in the face of a crazed mood swings (it happens a lot. let's be honest here, ladies). While their more "cool and collected" during high drama, they're also still very loyal and so very understanding. I love that.

I think Aquarius finds Cancer wackiness to be interesting to observe and dissect - almost like an experiment. My Aqua friend loves to hear my stories about all the different situations I manage to get myself into (Gemini Venus). Also, Cancers give away their emotions like candy - or poison in other cases. If we're happy, we'll try to make you happy, too. If we're upset, you better stay away... Our emotions are really not that complex, just ever changing. I think Aquarius finds our constant flow of changes fascinating and are relieved to know what they're going to get when it comes to emotions.

Also, Aquarius is the water-bearer. Even though its an air sign, I feel like there is still a connection between Aquarius, the sign associated with the flood waters that cleansed the earth in preparation for rebirth, and Cancer, the sign associated with home and the cultivation of life. Or something like that.

I am Gemini Sun - both Pisces and Virgo Suns (my square signs) are strongly featured in my major relationships.

I am a 0 degree Gemini, so I often get along with those who have good but out of sign aspects. Esp Virgos on the Libra cusp, Cancers on the Leo cusp, and Scorpios on the Sagittarius cusp.

taurus-leo. we square. seems to be working fine.

taurus-aquarius. square again. would have worked if not for other reasons like moving countries/ career. actually i'm in the same spot again with the leo but i'm the one moving this time.

i didn't check the synastry/ composite or whatever. i dunno how to read those things yet. so just sun signs.

Aries-Capricorn doesn't even feel like a square for me. My Moon/Mars are in Cap. It feels more like a trine with some opposition moments... There isn't much friction.

Aries-Cancer - Well that depends. When it's bad - it's really *bad*.

That reminds me! There was this trio of girls at my school, they were called the ABC because of the first letter of their names. That's also their birth order (going by month and day, not year).

ANYWAYS, they were Capricorn, Aries and Cancer in that order. It's hard to find people that get along as well as they did. But then one day they began to grow tired and angry with each other then disbanded and never spoke again the end.

For this Cancer, its mostly Gemini and Sagittarius.

With Sag there is some friction. My best friend is of this sign. Sag doesn't get the moods, while I don't get the blind naivety about things, but other than that...we're partners in crime.

With Gemini the trick is that the other person is just as moody as you are. Otherwise, the exchange is always fresh. We always have stories to tell eachother.

Most of my closest friends have Virgo somewhere, either Moon or ASC. I only have IC and SN in Virgo (although my Sub dwad is in Virgo).

I'm an Aqua Sun, with mostly air and fire planets. Only earth is Neptune in Cap.

even when the Sun signs are incompatible, other supporting aspects with other planets should help.

but in my case, i'm a Sagittarius Stellium and my partner is Virgo Stellium. we have a major square party going on in our Synastry and i've never got along with any others (friends or lovers) more than i do with him. i guess a lot of tension supported by a few easy-going Jupiter aspects helps.

This gets to the heart of the quincunx which it the making of incompatible signs work.
I have had to do it within myself being a strong Gem and a strong Scorpio.
The result is a very unique animal.I would think this would be the same in relationships.
What do you think?

hi sand sorry to be a nosey parker hehe thanks for answering tho!
I asked because you mentioned that you are in square relationships (something I have never been in, not by sun sign anyway!) and was wondering if they are going well why you would be able to move away. I haven't ever been in this position so I could be compeltely naive in asking as well as I am sure there are lots of reasons why people would be moving away from their partners.
As we have similar charts (though granted, our houses are square! I think you are a scorp ASc and I am an Aqua ASC.. and diff moon signs) I was wondering whether I could break off a relationship due to moving or whether if I thought it was working I would do anything in my power to stay where that person was. So I was wondering your reason. Sorry I am being TOTALLY nosey

My dad is simmilar influence on my chart as your mum is on yours. Though he wouldn't want me to marry for power but, definitely would rather that the boxes were ticked (really good job etc). I dated an Aries last year, he was a lawyer, really nice we got along so well! except i had no physical attraction to him whatsoever. Blah. I had to break it off I just can't do it. So I hear ya on that one too. He is a super sweet guy though and we still stay in touch (though he messages me more than I initiate anything with him... but he is really a nice guy... I kept telling myself that when we were dating too lol).

If anything I have been craving to live in a diff country for about 5 - 10 years now and don't have the guts to move. I solidly just got myself WELL AND TRULY stuck in this place I am now (mortgage, job etc). Though I could always rent this place out....

So I keep on topic for the original poster..

I assume we are talking abotu sun signs here so I wont delve into other things (though there are reasons why I might get along with sun signs that traditionally don't get along with my own).

my best GIRL friends have been Aquarians - a square to my Taurus sun. This is typically an unusual match though one I see commonly, especially with Taurus males and Aquarian females (no idea why its not as common the other way around).

Speaking of I have never been friends with Aquarian males nor dated them. There is always just something amiss. Same with Leo men. NO idea why because my ASC/DC axis falls on Aqua/Leo! (but no other planets in these signs).
So for me men and women are different.

My weakness is Geminis. I go through stages when I am surrounded by them in my life. Then they all disappear for a couple of years then they all come back again (usually different ones . Gemini men just have smoething over me, maybe it's because they are so elusive , now you see him now you dont.. makes me go on a hunt :P My Scorpio Mars likes that.
They say once you have had a gemini ... and they break your heart (they always break your heart in some way!) you'll swear that you will never have them again. But then you meet another Gemini and you will fall madly in love with him (after solemnly swearing before that you would never do this ever ever again!). Of course he will break your heart too. I hear of Taurus ladies often getting their heart broken by Gemini men... they just don't know what they have until it's too late! Silly men :P

I love Libran guys and have dated one seriously, but we usually only remain good friends which is usually my choice because the ones who are intereted in me I havent been physically attracted to (shame because often their sun conjuncts my moon).

Hi Ami

The guy I came closest to marrying (apart from maybe the Pisces), was a Libran. Totally quincunx perfect!!!!! he has a scorpio moon and a libran sun, I am Taurus sun and Libran moon Goes to show that you need those other planets as well.. not just sun!!

actually now you mention cap and libra.. i have seen this one work as well.

Couple 1 - Libra male and Cap female, three babies later, and an engagement ring... they have been together for about 10 years at least. The cappy is a December born cappy though, and her moon is in saggi. The libra is october-born.

Couple 2 - Cap male and Libra female. 2 kids and this year is the 22nd marriage anniversary. She is an october -born libra but on the cusp of scorpio, 19th october. she is still very libra like though, with venus also in early libra. her moon is in aquarius but ascendant, mars, mercury and neptune are in scorpio. saturn and jupiter are in cappy. her hubby is january-born cappy, i would say his sun conjuncts her cappy saturn as i think he is born around 7th january and her saturn is 23 deg cappy.

I've always attracted Pisces people (for friendship and for love) and although I always felt I couldn't stand their reticence, it worked out somehow. My NN is in Pisces and I'm a Sag Sun so lots of lessons there.

My mum is a Scorpio, my dad an Aquarius - their Suns are square by 2 degrees, and they have worked for the last 37 years.

but of course there is more to it than the Sun signs.

That kind of thing happens all the time. What I've found out is that really there's no such thing as astrologically 'compatible' and 'incompatible'. A lot of people who have crappy composites and synastry work out, and a lot that have great ones feel nothing or hate each other. So it makes sense that sun signs that supposedly aren't a great 'match' might work out after all.

I'm a Sag surrounded by Pisces and Virgos.
I think squares just make life more interesting.

I've been in relationships where not only our suns squared but so did our moons.
That was a challenge!

In my personal experience I can't think of successful relationships or even friendships with incompatible signs. It's kinda sad but across the board that was my experience and I've stopped trying to force something that just wasn't working. In my opinion compatibility is about harmony and if there isn't something strong enough to harmonize a friendship or a relationship I find that it's very difficult to manage overtime. Friendships shouldn't be work, these are people you choose to be around. Relationships are never easy however it's never worked out for me partnering with men in incompatible signs. We had very poor communication which destroyed the relationship. If you can't communicate with each other then what exactly are you doing in a relationship. Anything can work if you put enough effort into it, but I believe when it comes to friendships and love, we shouldn't have to work so hard.
