Sun: Capricorn
Moon: Libra
ASC: Leo

I have a Venus in Pisces in the 8th house as well as a Mars in Pisces in the 8th house.

I presume that is what you call a conjunction? Correct? Fairly new to the depths of astrology here. Can you please share your insight on the romantic aspects here? Thank you!

Not sure if other aspects are necessary but I have:
Venus conjunction Mars (same thing^?)
Venus trine Pluto (Pluto in Scorpio)
Venus sextile midheaven (in Taurus)
Mars square Uranus (in Sagittarius)

Venus in the sign Pisces is in its exaltation. So, you have a great compassion, deep sympathy, and high capacity to understand the feelings of others, you know what it is like to be in another person's shoes. The experience of having been through all the signs of the Zodiac gives you the ability to identify with all types of humanity.

You are romantic and sensitive. You marry for love. Unless you receive clear demonstration of love and affection from others, you feel lonely and disappointed. You are often afraid of being hurt, and hesitate to express your feelings, and suffer the pain of love in silence. Sometimes, you sublimate your feeling of loneliness into religious expressions.

You have talents and are quite capable of artistic, poetic, and musical creation. This Venus position probably has more innate ability for inspired artistic creativity than other placements.

Pisces belongs to Neptune, the planet that rules altered states of reality. So, you love sleep, meditation, and may be a glass of wine, and whatever induces warm and pleasant escape from the harshness of reality. You need this type of escape because you are extremely susceptible to what is going on in the world, especially in your immediate environment.

It is very easy for you to absorb the emotion of others, sometimes you confuse them with your own. At those times, you may withdraw and hide your feelings. Your need to retreat is your emotional self-defense.

You are quite compassionate with people, animals, and those in suffering. You will open your heart and your door to strays of any kind, especially, the victims. People may take advantage of your sympathies.

If Venus is afflicted in Pisces, there can be excessive sentimentality, lack of discrimination in choosing love objects, laziness, dreaming, and escaping from reality. You may suffer neurotic tendencies, or mental illness.

Venus in the Eighth House indicates financial gain through marriage, other partnership, and social relations. If Venus is well aspected, it indicates an inheritance. If Venus is heavily afflicted here, there can be a highly sensuous nature or an overemphasis on sex. Your marriage will be motivated by the possibility of financial gain.

The Eighth House position gives overly intense emotions and sometimes jealousy and possessiveness, because Venus is in the natural house of Scorpio, the sign of its detriment.

You have very strong desires, and once you decide to possess something, you usually succeed in doing so. You may experience shortages of love and money to encourage you to be less possessive in these areas of your life. You have the ability to see through the false pretenses of others. On the level of karma, you can make up for past lives of greed and abuse by sharing your resources with others in need. There may be some sexual trauma in your early life that you struggle with as an adult.

Mars possesses Rulership, triplicity by day and night, terms in the first 6 degrees, and face in the first 10 degrees, making it the strongest place for Mars in the entire Tropical Zodiac. Having no triplicity in Aries, Scorpio Mars can be said to be most dignified in Scorpio under its night time rulership.

The Nature and reputation of Mars in Scorpio is powerful and myths and legends have been borne out of this placement. There is no doubt that when Mars is found in his own domain his ability to win and fight is second to none. Having said this, Scorpio is Marsīs night time rulership which means that by preference this Mars fights by night, when the darkness and cold gives him the advantage.

Part of the advantage of Mars in Scorpio is the ray of Scorpio contains elements of Pluto traditional lord of the dead and the underworld. In this sense Mars is given a psychological advantage which is not necessarily physical strength, but an advantage of knowing exactly how to defeat and win against their enemies through, primarily fear. But this fear is not bluff, the fear that precedes this Mars is due to Marsīs incisive and brutal actions. Of course in Scorpio Mars is a dealer of death, however, this is its dignity and therefore the death that is dealt and given by this Mars is just and destined. Mars here in a sense serves up a karmic judgement that has been previously decided in Libra.

It is often necessary for Nature to kill and destroy in order to regenerate and renew itself. Scorpio Mars is given this task and is best at it. Often the energy of Scorpio is hidden, is dormant and appears to be soft, and nonthreatening, this is one of its advantages. In fact even the public image of Mars in Scorpio can be deceiving, because Scorpio is a sign which generally shuns the spotlight and shuns any artificiality. The result is that Mars in Scorpio is able to fight his battles in total privacy, sometimes without his enemy even being aware of anything until the final minute, due again to the night time rulership. But this is not to say that Mars is either underhand, scheming, or in any kind of dishonest or morally wrong place in his actions. Because of his dignity it is his duty to carry out such activities, to kill if necessary, to finish and to destroy that which is weak and has not purpose.

Death is necessary and the bottom line in any war situation. Mars in Scorpio is aware of this. Mars in Scorpio would rather live, because he is attached to life and is born with survival instinct. Mars at war here is at war in the dark, he is also at war in difficult terrain, which is both cold and wet, possibly even at sea, but more likely taking full use of the desertīs lack of water in order to let his enemies die of thirst while he fills up in little oasis of which only he knows the location. Of course Scorpio Marsīs toughness is often brought about through testing, Scorpio has a way of putting pressure on Mars here so that he is given difficult and sometimes catastrophic times of testing where it appears that he is totally wiped out. However this is part of the psychology of the sign in which Mars is well placed to be “reborn” and renewed with full veteran experience and that advantage once again of having been through disaster which his enemies have not.

With Mars in the eighth house, shades of the sign Scorpio can be found in your desire nature. You may not experience true passion until later in life, but when you do, it is magical and infectious. You have some fears of betrayal and loss that compromise your trust from time to time.
