Okay, I diffinately know more than astrology for dummies, however..there are alot of other astrology books that just, and I am not sure if it is how they are written, pass over me. I need something for someone like me..someone in the middle. Can anyone help? I was really getting into it and lost my steam due to well, life. I am looking to get started back up thanks!IP: Logged |

i would start for a general topic, but in depth.say house rulers or get in depth in a planet. or maybe the general configurations of a chart. if you pickt something that triggers your curiosity in the moment, this would lead to something else and and so forth. it is difficult to grasp everything at the same time. if you already have the basics, i would go for a section of the big picture and study it in detail, but this is me... whatever works for you IP: Logged |

I have a great book about astrological archetypes. It really goes in depth, but I think it helps even beginners to understand the energies of the signs better. IP: Logged |

Did you want to post your chart? It might help to locate an area of interest, I've got sun and merc in the 9th and jup in the 3rd so I love astrology that is a bit philosophical/mythical. I'm lucky though because with a scorp asc to back up jup in the 3rd i'll read anything.IP: Logged |

Hi SeeleahIt really depends on what your looking for, as in what area of astrology do you want to focus on. I have a shelf full of astro books covering most topics - (except for synastry and composites), the ones I recommend are: Predictive Astrology: The Eagle and the Lark by Bernadette Brady. Mainly focuses on transits, luminations and progressions. This is my absolute favourite astrology book, a real gem!!! It really got me hooked on transits. Synthesis and counselling in Astrology by Noel Tyl. It's a big ass book that covers natal charts solar arcs, transits and progressions. Secrets from a stargazers book by Debbi Kepton-Smith. This books aimed at advanced newbies - mainly deals with the natal chart. The combination of stellar influences - Reinhold Ebertin(?). This is another midpoint book (can also be helpful when looking at transits, progressions and solar arcs.) more of a reference text a bit dated, but still a good read. Asteroid Goddesses - Demetra George Does what it says on the tin! It's a great book that mainly deals with the big 4 asteroids and touches on some of the others. Astrology and consciousness - Rio Olesky A well written book that focuses on spirituality in the natal chart. It only deals with the signs, houses and planets but it's very in-depth. These are just a few I'd recommend. HTH IP: Logged |

What are the books that 'pass over you' so that I can know what types are better suited, otherwise it'd be a shot in the dark.IP: Logged |
