i don't pay much attention to it, despite some are supposed to strong points. maybe i should at least pay attention to the transits on Sun/moon MP.

and just realised on the wider-side (what you call that?) i have Sun and Venus transiting...

me and my partner's Mars/Venus midpoints are conjunct. i don't think it means anything in particular though, beside we might get horny on the same day or something. but it's conjunct my NN.

Hi Seelah - I have quite a lot of info on this topic, but right now I am under lots of pressure at work so my time is short. Hopefully other people will post so I can come back to it later!

In the meantime, I do have one headache which I hope someone can help out with. My sun/moon midpoint (probably the most important one as it is indicative of how you integrate your yin/yang nature) lands bang on my Mars/Uranus which are conjunct within 0.20 degrees of each other. I know how to get interpretation for one planet at the midpoint ... but what if there are two????

Interpreting for Mars at MP then Uranus adds volatility and genius. Incisive very independent and won't be tied down, their integration depends on this inner need to be their own person follow their own path, sometimes even at the cost of personal relationships. If they drive it too hard they can start to feel like outcasts. The impatience can work against them but there is also a freedom fighter feel to this, an itch that needs to be scratched. You're more comfortable when things are your idea, or if the other somehow plants the seed in your mind that you're calling the shots. You have to be your own person no matter what and when you feel as if you've been under the influence of others for too long then there is a need to rebel to maintain that separate self, that rebelling can happen of course Uranus all of a sudden, building up and others will not know what hit, but this is something negative that happens when you aren't being true to yourself and the path that you need to travel, often alone. You need space in relationships to pursue that offbeat path you have or else it starts to disintegrate and 'problems' start cropping up which would be a subconscious reaction on your part to your freedom being hindered.

A classic on Mp's is,
The Combination of Stellar Influences
By Reinhold Ebertin
And there is a preview of it at http://books.google.com
Just type in the title in the search engine at Google books and click on the book with the yellow cover.

Here's the amazon descrip,

quote:
The Combination of Stellar Influences is a well-known and popular book that explains the development of cosmobiology, which uses the 90-degree dial, and teaches the methods of this progressive school of astrology. Through the interpretation of the stellar bodies and other astronomical points in the individual's chart, emphasis is placed on the cosmobiological character and the shaping of destiny. The delineation of the various combinations and mid-points is well-defined, easy to follow and to the point. Learn the basic influence and principle characteristics of planetary combinations, as well as their psychological, biological and sociological correspondence and probable manifestation in natal and predictive astrology.

If you have the funds it's a good investment.
I guess I have to add that some of the interps are a bit over the top, so it can come across as fatalistic. You have to remember that that mp is just one point in the chart out of hundreds if not thousands of things in the natal that are open to interp.
But the one like T has, since it's the sun/moon and since it's so closely conj not 1 but 2 planets it will stand out. Not everyone has a sun/moon mp aspect, for ex mine's at 14 Aqua and just makes a 5 deg trine to Mars.

Thanks so much Lonake! You interpretation resonates with me very well. I certainly feel a strong drive for freedom to pursue what is meaningful to me in an unconstrained manner and dislike being "labelled". And, yes, it does sometimes make me feel like a stranger in a strange land!

I once - for fun- was checking the transits to my natal midpoints on a certain day / certain event and they descriped what happened and the athmosphere of it all so eerily accurate that I almost got crept out.
I didn`t expect that.

Hi All

Here is a list of websites that have midpoint interpretations and a site with what some of the midpoints mean:
http://www.cafeastrology.com/astrologytopics/midpointpictures.html
http://www.cafeastrology.com/astrologytopics/midpointspictures2.html
http://john-sandbach.blogspot.com/2010/11/planets-activting-sunuranus-midpoint.html
http://www.cornerstone-astrology.com/articles/midpoints_astrology.htm

I hope someone can add to the list as I'm very interested in midpoints also.
