Would love to see what all of you think are indicators of hypersensitivity (both emotional and physical) in the chart, which one could lead to more emotional hypersensitivity or more physical type.

Examples would be nice, as I've noticed that everyone who is hypersensitive seems to experience it differently. For example I have a friend who is a HSP, but I find that he's quite insensitive to physical stimuli, whereas I could easily hear a pin drop in a crowded square while it's metres away from me. I tend to be emotionally hypersensitive too, but often just block myself off because it's absolutely draining.

Anyway, that friend has heavy Gemini, Sun conjunct Mars, and Pisces rising. I believe he also has Taurus Mercury but I'm not entirely sure. Most of my chart is in Sagittarius which honestly does not strike me as the most sensitive of signs. I would expect Cancer influence to be sensitive, or heavy water influence, but I could be wrong of course.

i consider myself hypersensitive emotionally.
Although fortunately in the last couple of years I made a LOT of progress in becoming more "normal" when it comes to emotions and love.

I experienced deep pain mainly because I was feeling unloved and unwanted for many years, and i've always longed for such emotional security whihc is simply not possible to experience through other people. Therefore
I also have/had huge problems with letting go from a very early age.

I have Moon in Virgo in the 1st house, conjunct South Node and square Chiron

Hmmm now it's interesting you both mention a Moon/Chiron aspect. I don't know about my friend exactly, but I have Moon conjunct Chiron. I am physically extremely sensitive, but also emotionally. I've learned to block of the latter entirely, so it doesn't bother me all too much. But the physical sensitivity is peaking recently, and I'm being very aware of the fact that my brains and senses really do pick up ALL stimuli around me and cannot filter out like most people's brains do automatically.

I never really thought about seeing exactly what could signify hypersensitivity in a chart though. So Chiron and Moon. As far as I remember my friend has Aquarius Moon. He is born a year before me so chances are that his Chiron is in Taurus and square his Moon. But I'll have to check when I get home.

Also, since hypersensitivity is something that is mainly focused on the brain, I would venture into saying Mercury might be involved too? How about for physical stimuli, could they be represented by Venus or the 2nd house?

Oh yeah, I have absolutely nothing in Cancer. Not even one of the most used asteroids. Only Vertex. I do have a strong Moon though, in the 7th conjunct Chiron and Dsc, within 10 degrees of my NNode and as the handle of a bucket, recieving most aspects in my chart (along with the Asc/Dsc axis, Mercury, Uranus and Chiron), it's the only "Cancer" I have, really. I do also have Sun in 12th and in Scorpio, so I'm not short of water in my chart

The only water in my chart is pluto in scorpy and yeah jupiter in cancer. Everything else is in libra, virgo or cappy (outer planets)
OH! My eros is in scorpy haha but north node and psyche is in aquarius.

I AM tough and strong as a person but I am emotionally sensitive too. Oh and I have sun conjunct mars (wide though..8ish degrees) that makes me stronger.

My sun trines neptune and sextiles pluto (1ish orbs---which makes me quite passionate and intense when I want to be lol)

Aya,

Yes, Moon/Chiron hard aspects certainly indicate hypersensitivity and pain inconnection with all the things that the Moon represents (Mother, feelings, security)

I recommend you this post about Moon/Chiron, its awesome! http://astrofix.net/2010/07/08/moonchiron-aspects-brainstorm/

I can hide my sensitivity pretty well also, infact, maybe there are two people in my life who have ever known how sensitive I am, but slowly I start to become more comfortable with my feelings and become more emotional in my everyday life.

And like you, my mind is also hypersensitive, I pick up on informations way too easiliy, not to mention that im very sensitive to other people's thoughts and energy too! On the other hand, I feel bad if I do not surrender myself with enough info, news, something to read etc... so I need to work hard to find out how to balance this energy in a healthy way.

No surprise, my mercury is also squared by Chiron, and so I have a tight T-Square with Chiron-Moon-mercury. What helps me to empty/relax my mind is meditation and sport (Mercury in Pisces, Sun in Aries)

Got Moon/Neptune trine Chiron. I'm not hypersensitive in a gushy, tearful way .... but I am extremely sensitive to the suffering of others. I can literally feel their emotional energy. It is natural for me to tune into and understand people on an emotional/spiritual level and to empathize with their vulnerabilities, rather than judge them. I find I can often be of some help to them.

I'm almost morbidly hyper sensitive, but outwardly I'm usually stone cold and distant. The truth is, is that I feel TOO much, so I think I have to have some kind of defense mechanism against it.
Moon in cappy in the 8th h square satrun, trine venus and semi square uranus.

I would say hypersensitivity is more related to Neptune aspects and transits, specially tight conjunctions... OR if you have a lot of Cancer in your chart! Joking hehe

Well, I thought a lot of Cancer would do that too

Personally, my Neptune influence only goes as far as it being in 1st house conjunct Venus. And well, my Sun is in 12th house... I do experience hypersensitivity more on a material and physical level. I am sensitive to emotional changes and situations, but right now I suspect that I simply pick up on human behaviour associated with it and that THAT is what influences me so much. But the physicalness could tie in with the fact that my Neptune is in 1st house...

I used to blame it on the fact that I trained my ears for hearing my parents go up to their bedroom, so I would know when to rush off to turn off my light and let them not catch me reading

Interestingly, there used to be a series about this guy who had seriously enhanced senses. It was called the Sentinel if I'm not mistaken. Now what I experience is absolutely nothing like that, it's simply my brain registering EVERYTHING but the most unusual things are the things I will react to first. And hearing a pin dropping when I already know it's nowhere near where I am, is quite unusual

But now, sand, you can't be insensitive, can you? But if you say so, maybe it's that moon in Leo inconjunct Neptune
