Uranus opposite Ascendant Think of this as a conjunction between the Ascendant person's seventh house cusp -- the house of marriage and other partnerships-- and Uranus, rather than as a true opposition. This is likely to be an unusual relationship in some way. From the world's point of view, you two may appear an unlikely match, but if you enjoy each other's differences you may be able to make it work. The relationship is likely to be subject to many ups and downs, and unexpected events. It may have begun quite suddenly -- and has the potential to end just as suddenly, although you shouldn't set off expecting that this will happen. It would take more than one aspect to cause this. The key to success here will be to give each other plenty of freedom. Also -- be prepared to roll with the punches, because you never know what might occur with Uranus in such a prominent spot. Just something I found on the net IP: Logged |

You shouldn't count the orbs that are higher than 4 degrees. 8 degrees for a square is much too loose.Uranus makes me rocky and unstable so yeah... It just makes the relationship not particularly stable. IP: Logged |

Also I think it's best to stick with conjunct, square, trine and sextile. BQ and semisextiles etc are really minor aspects.

@ Mintgirl 'A jupiter aspect for instance, was allowed an orb of 10 degrees, which is very wide, considering that 10 degrees applies on either side of the actual degree. In this system, Mercury,Venus, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto were permitted an 8 degree orb. The Sun got 12 degrees, the moon got 8.' That's something I've noted that some astrologers count 8 degree orbs. I think that any contact still has significance because they are still in communication with one another and so must have an effect upon one another?? I shall look more into this. It wasn't so much the orbs I was looking at this time (although this is necessary too!) - it was more that the Asc contacts really stood out in the charts and so I felt that this must be important within the relationship - I have to learn why it is so relevant (as I'm learning).
