Trent Rezbore is completely over rated. He was okay for a couple of years in the early 90's with pretty hate machine and downward spiral. The Fragile was acceptable but after that it just went all down hill if you are an intelligent being who constantly progresses forward to bigger and better things. Some people like living in the boring redundant past where everything has been said and done before where they rot. ANyways back to Dent, I mean Trent, Now he has a lame hair cut, wears sweater vests and sings in mono tone behind boring bland music and programmed pis s beats.

Like I said, he was relevant for like one year in high school when things went shitt y and you were depressed but then he kept releasing albums saying the same thing over and over. I get bored with that. Yes Trent, we know you are a mess and everything falls apart, get over it and say something else.

I pity people who are stuck in the past with these old irrelevant grand daddies who never knew how to evolve their art or spirituality. Don't any of you change or grow upward? Why still play with old toys?

LOL! Yes, the dreaded "G" word! He looks so lumpy and grizzled. Honestly, I think it's hype. Haven't met many women who really find him *that* attractive. Guess they're out there somewhere, though.

Oh and Actually, some people get Hotter as they get older..............Like ME for example.

LMFAO. You're a tool, bethcarliseh.

Trent is STILL making music. NIN has stuff as recent as 2009 and now he and his wife are part of a project called How To Destroy Angels, which came out last year. Stuck in the past? Trent is a pioneer of his genre and never compromises his music for the mainstream.

You think PHM was one of his most relevant works? Even Trent has said he's embarrassed of that album and that lyrically and musically he was being swayed by his record company.

And Trent isn't a junkie anymore..you can see his mature growth in his recent music.

So yeah, suck it.

dunno much about him but the fact that he has a hard chart like DR sez and is so awesome to many makes him okay in my book.

^ You don't really see him out and about glorifying himself though, do you? I wonder if the inner tension (stress aspects) is something he works through and it's not about being in People magazine telling people what makes up a typical breakfast, lunch, dinner for him.

""I think it's in bad shape. That's a very global statement, but it seems to me rock has become very homogenized, so incredibly safe and politically correct for the most part, and whatever danger might have existed at its inception has been packaged, labeled, marketed and sold as product.""
---So he's got some sense in his head here. This is a big criticism of pop and rock lately, not to mention most major hollywood-style films and most television programming. There's a huge artistic wasteland that's being traded like gold.

This is a good article for those who are interested in his work, http://www.9inchnails.com/articles/behind-his-tortured-image.php

quote:
Soft-spoken and articulate, Reznor has a reputation of being a fulltime visionary of the dark. Some of his tendencies do not make him appear that cheery. For studio purposes, he rented a mansion in Los Angeles that once belonged to actress Sharon Tate, one of the victims who died in the hands of mass murderer Charles Manson and his Family (though he claims he didn't know until after). His current New Orleans house/recording studio is a converted funeral home. The sadness and pain compressed in an album's worth of NIN lyrics is enough to last a lifetime for some listeners.

Not too many realize he uses songwriting as a way to vent his personal demons. He often attacks the corporate world ("Head Like A Hole"), hypocrisy of religion ("Terrible Lie" and throughout The Downward Spiral) and even loss of identity ("Happiness Is Slavery") in his songs. His music may have political slants, but the lyrics are always based on his perception of what's around him, while the issues take secondary precedence.

(...)

"If I'm talking about suicide in a song, then it doesn't mean I'm suicidal," he added. "It doesn't mean you'll do it, but you've thought about it and I'm just drawing the subject into the light."

I don't know his bio but from his chart he seems quite introvert.

I was big on Trent and Nine Inch Nails for awhile. He's definitely talented. Pretty bright guy too if you've ever taken the time to read or watch any of his interviews.

I'm not sure what's up with all the synastry and 'me and Trent would be so great together' posts though because he's good and married and has a kid now lol, very taken.

Let me guess, you stopped at The Downward Spiral, didn't you? LOOOOL

Actually, his lyrical content has changed a lot in recent years and has moved away from all that. Year Zero, anyone?

Honestly? I don't care what you think LMAOOOO.

I will say this though - it's incredibly weird that you spend so much time talking about someone that you deem 'irrelevant'.

And the guy has enough chops where he caught the attention of David Bowie, as well as having won an Oscar recently for his work - seems to me like there's a whole lot of people who really know a LOT about music that don't find him terribly 'irrelevant', so I don't have a whole lot of faith in your opinions.
