They aren't very well known unless you're into heavier stuff. Pete Steele has a HUGE female fanbase..even though Type O Negative's music is dark, brooding, heavy melodic metal..his lyrics are usually about heartbreak and romance. He posed for Play Girl back in the day.

His stage presence is intense..he's 6'7", built, long black hair, piercing eyes.

What do you think about his chart lends to his music and what I like to call his "gothic fabio" persona (lol, sorry Pete)? He is also well-known for his DEEP voice and love of cats He grew up in a family of 5 or 6 females and no father.
