Did anyone you know die that year?

I have Sun, mercury, and Mars in there, and Venus on the cusp. THis year has been so hard so far. All I do is worry about money and death. It's so textbook, it's sad. I've grown depressed and for the first time in my life have had to start presciption medication to feel normal. I didn't even need meds when going through my divorce years ago. and that was an awful year.

I'm about to get my credit severely messed up this year, and will probably lose a bunch of money being that my name is tied into something I was forced into years ago when I was too young to know what I was signing. I'm having to deal with lawyers, taxes, real estate, and major fears.
Everything is happening a little too close to the textbook definition of the 8th house solar return.

So if it's this textbook, does that mean death is coming next?

I really do not know how I'm going to get through this year. I was stupid not to relocate for my birthday. I know there are conflicting ideas on whether that works or not, but it would at least been worth a try.

Not to scare anyone but an 8th house solar return is awful, more awful than I could have imagined.

It would be shown more if you looked at your natal alongside transits, solar arc, and progressions. I've seen death that way.

Thank you so much everyone for your replies.

CosmicKarma,I am very sorry to hear about your dog. I had to have my last dog put to sleep and it was a heart wrenching experience. I admire you for being able to keep an upbeat attitude about everything. I wish I could be as upbeat and strong, but it's getting to me, and wearing me down little by little, and taking the joy out of life for me. I know how you feel with all the 8th house energy. I feel like I get knocked off my feet everyday with something new, and I just have to keep getting back up.I don't know how many more times I can get back up, and there are days I just want to stay down, or just run away somewhere and not deal with it. There is a persistent, and constant knot in my stomach. They say if a person can survive this, then you will stronger for it. But that's "if" right? I hope things better for you. My next birthday is in May, so I have a long way to go. Hopefully, you're nearing the end of your 8th house solar return. The last time I had an 8th house solar return, was during my divorce. So I think I've learned my lesson with the 8th house, and will relocate next time I see this coming my way.

Good luck with everything.

Saturn in the 8th, square Pluto in the 12th, last year: cat died, grandmother died, and my dog died.

Pluto in the 8th, this year:
cousin died, and three cats died, all in the past month.

Hi CosmicKarma, just an update on my 8th house jam packed solar return.

Yesterday I watched my dog get run over right in front of me. I tried to go after him, but he was in the street before I knew it and the happened so fast, I felt helpless to do anything. He died 20 minutes later in the Vet's office. He was only 7 months old. So I got him and lost him all in one solar return year. I was only able to spend 4 precious month with him.

Last night I couldn't sleep and my mind was wandering and I remembered that you said you lost your dog too during this solar return. I now know you feel, and the pain is immense. Dogs are like people, they touch our lives and leave permanent impressions in our hearts. I loved that dog!

This solar return is really starting to scare me now. BTW I also had my solar return Uranus and Moon in my 6th House, which is supposed to represent pets.

I hope everything is going well with you!
Be safe and take care.

I hope everything will be fine for you.

In my solar return

I got Sun(on 8th cusp), Mercury, Moon(close to 9th cusp) and north node in 8th house

I transformed A LOT. A LOTTER THAN A LOT. i had mostly emotional and psychological terrible experiences this year. But i am stronger also getting stronger. Also saturn was transiting 7th house so many karmic things happened which led to my transformation.

Probably you are stronger person too. Not every year will be like your current bad year. So try to endure it =)

Thank you MertSerimer.

Do you mind if I ask if anyone or anything you knew died that year?

I know pain is supposed to make a person stronger, but this year is full of pain, and it's making me weaker and weaker.
What doesn't break you makes you stronger but this is breaking me, and I have 7 months left of this solar return.

I'm happy to hear you survived your solar return and are now stronger for it.
Me, I could do with just one year that is just uneventful and peaceful. I can't take much more drama, or emotional/psychological stress.

That year is this year for me so i can't say till 2012 but noone died yet. I think all heavy 8th house SR is not always meant to being dead of someone close to us. Sometimes it can mean loss as it life setting apart you from someone. Also planets involved can show the loss for example sun can show loss of authority figure or father(can be mother too) or loss of ego(like neptune transits to sun), moon can show loss of mother or anyone who nurtured you, mercury can show loss of mental health or transformation. Mars can show loss of men in your life, or loss of action, thrive anger etc..

You can listen Fink-yesterday was hard on us for your solar return =)))

In the year when my natal 8th house was the AC for my Solar Return, my grandmother passed away unexpectedly.

9' Leo was the Ascendant. Natally, Cancer rules my 8th house and the Moon is in the 8th at 10' Leo. My Moon is exactly opposite the 4th house ruler (Mars) at 10' Aquarius.

That year, Mars at 5'Leo was exactly opposite the Moon at 5' Aquarius, sitting right around my SR Ascendant/DC.

My 8th house was set off natally, and there were a slew of planets in my 4th. I thought something was going to happen to ME but instead it was my only living grandmother. Shocking how this stuff works sometimes.

Definitely pay attention to your Solar Return Chart and heavy Transits.

For the past few years I haven't focused on my Solar Return just transits and the past three years have been incredibly tough for me also. I've had Saturn transiting and sitting in my 8th house for the past 3 years activating all of my natal 8th house placements including Pluto in the 8th.

I lost my best friend and a immediate family member both in car crashes two months apart. They were 25 and 30 years old respectively, they went too soon. I've had traumatizing financial upheavals, I've had to pay hundreds worth of tax returns each of these past 3 years when I have never had to pay tax returns in my life. There was a time I had the IRS on speed dial. I had to give up many unhealthy relationships in my life and had many people I trusted walk away from me. Relationships with people I'd known my whole life. Heartbreaking. It's been emotionally and psychologically debilitating, and I'm still riding the remained of that wave. I don't know if that's just my life or if it's Saturn playing basketball in my court but I'm trying to ride this out. You go threw horrible situations so much you begin to think that's all life is, but it's not. For now I'm just doing my best to manage things responsibly with hopes that any 8th house related trauma has left me so I can continue to heal. 8th house stuff isn't something to be messed with. I hope the best for anyone going threw hard times.

CosmicKarma, I am so happy to hear the good news about your dog! So maybe dog deaths are not an 8th house thing. I think mybe it's a Uranus 6th house thing.

Thank you for the good news!

I know what you mean. Update on my above post: dead cousin, four dead cats, and my uncle's wife had a heart attack (though she survived). Other things are going on, too.

Hi Teasel,
I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. That is just way too much loss for one year. How did you deal? I am drowning in sadness right now.

I hope things are better for you now, or getting better.

Bumping an old thread due to having a busy 8th house in my SR for 2017/2018.

In the end of 2006, which was by far one of the *worst* periods of my life, I had Venus in Virgo and Saturn in Leo in my SR 8th house. I also had Pluto conjunct my SR ASC (on the 12th house side). I lost a lot (including a family member) and had to build my life back up in small steps at an agonizingly slow pace.

The end of 2011 was also a rough year. I didn't have anything in my SR 8th house, but SR Saturn did fall in my natal 8th house. Pluto was conjunct my SR MC and Uranus was conjunct my SR ASC.

This year, I have SR Moon in Taurus and Uranus in Aries in my SR 8th house. Sun conjunct ASC (on 12th house side). Saturn and Pluto both in my SR 4th house. I'm still over a week out from my SR, but I'm pretty sure I can feel it. My stomach has been tied in knots with anxiety and worry - over what, I don't know, it's just there. With SR Moon in 8th house, I have a feeling this is going to be a pattern this year...

But the other SR 8th house placements in previous years were awful too, and I made it through those. This too shall pass.

No quoting please.

@stubbornvirgo

Not gonna lie. SR 8th house activity has never been good for me. But it doesn't always mean a death of a loved one. Sometimes it does...last year it did in my case. But 2012 I had a 8th house sun and no one died. Sometimes it can symbolize transformations, money, birth, etc too. Kannon doesn't even believe in solar returns if it makes you feel any better. He's a pretty trustworthy astrologer although I still place value on the SRs.

Can you afford to travel?

A professional once told me he travels often on his birthday to change his solar return with importance of placing benefics/luminaries on the major points
