I'm noticing a pattern that people with prominent Aries and in their chart and Mars-Jupiter aspects tend to be really outdoorsy and willing to rough it up. This includes both genders by the way.

-I have Mars in Aries trine Sun/ASC. and sextile Jupiter, plus a Sag. ASC. I'm very inclined to nature and the outdoors, I also work for a outdoor company and am about to embark on a 2 week hiking trip through Oregon, although I like to dress up and be very feminine at times I am willing to go the extreme of roughing it up without makeup and modern comforts.

-My sister has Aries Moon and Venus, square Mars and opposite Jupiter, and Mars square Jupiter. She just worked on trails for five weeks in the middle of the woods and liked it so much she is doing it again for 5 weeks, she is also quite feminine, but also likes the simplicity of camping and being in the outdoors.

-My Boyfriend has Aries Mercury and Venus sextile Jupiter, and Jupiter conjunct ASC. in Aqua. He has hiked for 6 months straight through CA and OR and loves to hike, and we love to hike together.

I'm Aries Rising, and my Venus is conjunct in Aries... however I am NOT outdoorsy at all. I definitely do appreciate nature, and I love to take walks and feel the breeze, but I am not an adventurer type. Of course my other placements suggest that, so I would keep testing your theory!

noble, what do you mean you have venus conj in aries? on the ascendant?

that's interesting tho i have venus conj my aries merc as well. and my merc is also conj dc.

my venus is in taurus, maybe venus makes the aries energy less outdoorsy.

I noticed it's a sag thing as well?

3 of my exs were aries mars and sag venus (what can I say loll... I have an aries rising and a stellium in libra haha and I didn't even know they had the same placements as I wasn't into astrology then o_o) and they're all outdoorsy and active.

I'm not particularly outdoorsy, but I like hiking and camping. <3

Sand-- Yep, Venus is conjunct my Ascendant.

And I agree that Sagittarius is VERY outdoorsy. One of my friends is a 9th house Sun and she LOVES to travel... she's been everywhere and anywhere...

Also, my Dad has Jupiter in the 9th and he LOVES to travel... in fact he did it a lot when I was younger.

I think of Aries being more of an athletic placement as opposed to a outdoorsy one.

I wouldn't say I'm *very* outdoorsy but I do like hiking and camping out for a while lol

I have an Aries Sun. My closest friend is a Pisces girl with Aries Mars and she is extremely outdoorsy - She makes me go everywhere with her LOL

Sometimes I'm apprehensive because I have Cap Mars so I might have work to do or something else on - But usually I love it at the end of the day and I'm always happy she convinced me to go

PS. I also absolutely love the sea and the ocean and I could spend all day at the beach swimming & relaxing.
It's my favorite place.. I literally feel at home -- actually, more at home than I feel in my own house

I am not too high maintenance to stay in a camper. (I know wealthy kids that say that they are)
But I am too high maintenance to stay in a tent.

I did that when I was 11, and I remember it was pouring rain and there was a hole in the tent.

And I will go hiking, fishing, the gas station and wear hot pink lip gloss and such. haha

But I feel very at home and secure in a camper...I've been camping in campers since I was a baby. I even found out that I was "created" in a camper.
Haven't camped in a camper since I was 16.
My folks had to sell the camper before the ceiling collapsed or something since that camper was made in the 70's.

I wouldn't consider myself too outdoorsy but I can have a good time outside.

Lately I've been going on cabin trips. I don't consider that camping...but there is much more nature than home.
It's a good change of scenery. Nice to be able to see more stars, breathe fresher air, have a lake view, and bon fires every night.

I love swimming too. I wish there was someone as adventurous as me when it comes to swimming...
but if I see dead fish I wont wanna swim in the lake anymore.

But I know in the outdoors, it's worth it to reek like bug spray...instead of smelling good and getting attacked by bugs.

I'm too tired to look up my Mars, and Jupiter aspects (bout to turn over)

But I'll post my planets

------------------
Rising: Gemini
Sun: Aries 11
Moon: Scorpio 6
Mercury: Taurus 12
Mars: Aquarius 10
Venus: Pisces 10
N.Node: Aquarius 9
Saturn: Capricorn 9
Juno: Scorpio 6
Eros: Pisces 11
True Lilith: Scorpio 6
Jupiter: Cancer 2
Pluto: Scorpio 6

I'm a Gemini with my mars in Aries...Restless Gemini sun combined with extremely aggressive mars in Aries, definetely adds to the "outdoorsey personality." Traveling out by sea or packing up for a road trip, is the ideal way of getting around and discovering the different parts of the world...Sometimes just stepping out on the porch to inhale the fresh air of nature equals pure bliss for me. Do you think the aspects mars square Jupiter and Uranus would likely be an indicator of the true adventurer at heart ?

You know, I kind of have a reputation for being princessy, but it's just what people assume because of my personality. I actually don't mind being grody or camping, I just need access to running water so I can wear my contacts since I don't have good glasses. That's the only reason why I can't go camping, otherwise I'd be totally down. And like real camping, not in an RV. I'm talkig sleeping in tents, pooping in the woods, etc. I've hiked through the Adirondaks before. It was great. And like I said, I don't mind being gross. Summers in Richmond are pretty disgusting as it is, I don't even bother showering. I have hippie tendencies anyway.

I have a Sag Mars trine Jupiter in Aries, so it's a mutual reception. I absolutely loathe sports, though. I just find them boring.

I think outdoorsy is Sag/Jupiter related, possibly even Taurus if we're talking about strolling in the nature.

Aries sun/mars/venus here, absolutely hate camping and hiking (Taurus moon, the strolling and comfort part ) and my Jupiter is hidden in the 12th. I love competition sports, but rough ones - I can't comprehend cross-country skiing for example. Why would anyone want to go through such trouble, when all you have to do is get on a mountain top and slide while maxing out on adrenaline from the speed?

Hi!! Interesting topic! The people I've known who were very outdoorsy and adventurous nature lovers usually had an Aries-like personality. They were assertive, intellectual, confident, somewhat rebellious, and wanted to be leader. I am not yet sure of the things in their chart that pointed to them being this way, but i really feel that thrill seeking is a strong quality of aries so going in the outdoors And conquering the land so to speak does correspond to that sign. Websites all over the internet say that libra rising is attracted to people with aries qualities---ones who love the outdoors, adventure and thrills, and who's assertiveness, confidence, energy, and charm will rub off on them. I might find a sample and post it later.

I'm an Aries Sun, Mercury and Jupiter, and have never wanted to go camping. I like bathrooms and beds. I do like to go hiking, though... love to spend a significant amount of time outdoors.
