As I understand it, Mars and Venus in conjunction in synastry causes sexual tension.I have definitely experienced this, but it's never a comfortable energy. It's not a vibe I enjoy, it's more of a nuisance. It creates a very obvious, obnoxious, I-wish-that-wasn't-there, energy that I have to work around. It isn't sexual *attraction* as much as just an uncomfortable feeling of sex sort being "in the air", and I am usually, if not every time, NOT attracted to whoever I have this aspect with. It's just an annoying vibe. I notice though.. the dude in the situation is positively reacting, while I am just trying to avoid interaction. Anyone else experienced this? IP: Logged |

So sex is in the air - but you are not attracted...
Or are you saying you are attracted even though you'd prefer not to be attracted?I think it's more common for the Venus person to feel this way ^

My mars and venus conjunct with an orb of 1 degree.I guess I am just not an overtly sexual person, and I find such an in-your-face vibe just kind of gross. I don't appreciate the slobbering reaction I get from whomever I get a venus/mars conjunction with. I find it repulsive. The energy is definitely there, but it's something that disgusts me. It could be that the people I have found that I have this synastry with are just unattractive people in general. For instance, the last dude was a hitch hiker my hubby brought home, and he annoyed and disgusted me because he was so very ungracious in my home, and not a very bright person in general, but he kept trying to make eyes at me, which in turn, disgusted me even further. I did his chart and he has Venus in Aries, where I have my mars and venus. There was an energy there, but not one I appreciated. I find much more sexual attraction to people that have a mars or venus sextile or trine to mine. IP: Logged |

in my experiences, any time my venus conjuncts someone's mars i am very interested in them. if it's a man i'm sexually attracted and so is he, and if it's a girl i feel very comfortable and "myself" with her.i have met a few men whose venus conjuncts my mars and i haven't noticed anything significant..other than i get along with them easily.
and it's never a blatant in-your-face attraction. it is certainly powerful and felt, though.
it must be how you recognize that energy based on your own venus and mars aspects, like Belage pointed out. venus is a prominent planet in my chart and has mostly easy aspects, and is trine my mars..so i guess venus-mars in synastry feels good to me.

The only person I know that I have this with, is the fiance of someone close to me, and he made a couple of passes at me in the past (one in person, and one in a more odd way that I'm not in the mood to go into right now). I felt uncomfortable around him immediately (my Moon is also conjunct my Venus, so that adds to it, as does my South Node being there). My Mars also squares the conjunction, from my 4th house, so I can see how that ties in. IP: Logged |

i've experienced this twice.. both times, it's been very subtle where there's been a hint of something that just makes me go 'mmmmmmmmmmmmm..' but the mmm just stays at that temporarily til the connection is made and then BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive Venus conj mars in my own chart and have never felt attraction to someone with venus or mars in conj to my venus conj mars. Ive only felt strong feelings to men who have their venus or mars in square, quinkunks but Ive felt the strongest to or from mostly trine triggers....IP: Logged |

i can kinda understand what your saying..i have a venus scorpio sextile my asc which is aries (mars) and ive gotten quite often that how i come off is sexual even when im not trying to and i can say it doesnt give you the best reputation ; ) not to mention my venus scorpio is conjunct pluto in scorpio!! my goddd IP: Logged |

i don't like it either. mostly coz i'm really a sissy taurus when it comes to these things. unfortunately the only ones that would conjunct my mars and venus may be the more predatory ones. i'm a mars in scorpio (1st house) so that would be a venus in scorpio. venus in early sag might be too wide. venus in taurus (7th house) could be mars in taurus or mars in late aries. mars in taurus wouldn't give up so easily. mars in aries yep! what aspect your mars-venus make to other planets? it sounds strange that a venus-mars aries feel so uncomfortable with the obvious energy the aspect produce. and also which house? do you have any aspect to neptune? venus neptune? IP: Logged |

i have the conjunction as well and square works for me better than the conjunction. specially when the venus of him square my mars IP: Logged |
