I have mars retrograde in cancer within my chart, 4th house, with an aries rising. Retrograde mars can make you beat around the bush and be less direct about your passions and intentions. Retrograde planets can kind of symbolize an onion that is continuously un-peeling, you are growing and evolving with it. I would say another powerful theme is internalized anger.
