To look at a love relationship chart, which chart is best? Composite or Synastry?

People differ on this.Perhaps, some experienced people can answer.
If the synastry is great, the comp, often, is bad.
What is up with that? Is that, usually, the case?
Does it work,in reverse, too?
Please, describe the different types of Comp's, too.
Which do you like and why?
Thank you

I am new to charts so I don't have a clue what a Synastry and a Composite chart really are.

Synastry is when you compare 2 charts .One chart is on the outside, usually the man. The other in on the inside.

A Comp is ONE,single chart. It is the chart of the relationship, per se, as an entity.

WOULD the correct midway point BE halfway?? Synastry works on the facts, composite is the creation of something theoretical...

Yes, that makes sense to me, too!

Well, synastry and composite both say the truth about a relationship. They just say it in different ways. In synastry, the tightest aspects take over the relationship and define it singularly. And if you have mutual aspects (as in both planets aspect each other twice whether one be a square and the other a trine no matter) that's gonna be your relationship right there in summary. The composite tells you more info about a relationship. I've seen relationships with good synastry and a bad composite work out, and bad synastry with a good composite, too. It doesn't seem to matter, so don't worry. Just look at both.

Many times ...tight minor aspects are ignored which are just as important as long as they are tight. For those go to astrology3d.com And if you want a short and simple answer as to how your relationship will fare go to sasstrology.com/love-calculator The friendship compat shows long-term compatibility whereas the love compat shows how you feel about each other when you first meet. Why is that? Because friendship is the foundation of any relationship.

I mean, if you want to know how each person feels towards each other, synastry. If you want to know how the relationship is, composite.

I've said this a lot on here but: I find that a good composite can make up for bad synastry. If you have great synastry but a so/so composite, the relationship might never get off the ground.

Thanks guys, makes more sense now. I have posted a composite chart, under the heading " Composite Chart" in the Personal Readings forum. If anyone is interested, thank you.
