I feel that Node contact, along with contact to the Vertex, is some of THE most important things to look for when it comes to synastry. People you end up really feeling strongly about, that really impact you in some way, WILL trigger your nodes and vertex in some way. The most significant relationship I had to date, a conjunction they had natally, was conjunct my own NN; and my Moon-Pluto conjunction was right on their NN.Which is why I'm always annoyed and confused when most people post synastry charts for others to look at because so few of them bother to include the NN and the Vertex, and that's actually the very first thing I look for, even before stuff involving the luminaries. Ah yes Belligerentpygmy,I have also read that about the Vertex. So, by your interpretation I may be on the right trail here. I'm gonna check out our Vertex contacts. On first glance, I have pLuto conjunct Ascendent, trine his Vertex - not sure if this is worth bothering about though considering the trine is 'soft'. Although, there seems to be a division in belief regarding hard and soft aspects. The most balanced opinion I can find was one I read yesterday where the writer stated that the harmonising aspects were more suited to marriages 100 years ago, and that in modern synastry we need not be fearful of hard aspects, due to their growth potential, and the fact that you are no longer 'expected'to remain in a relationship/marriage, therefore, you may have several partners throughout your life for the purpose of personal evolution, without it being stigmatised. Thank you for responding IP: Logged |

Belligerentpygmy,I'm just wondering, what orb size do you use when interpreting the aspects to Nodes and Vertex? IP: Logged |

Hey JohnFKennedy, It's my Pluto conjunct my ascendant that trines his Vertex. I regret I do not know enough about astrology to tell you what Pluto conjunct Ascendant feels like. And I also can't comment on the aspect to his Vertex, as I have not spent enough time with him in person yet. I will update this as I learn though if people are interested IP: Logged | |
