I wonder how u can tell about a person deepest well kept secret... is that shown in the 4th-8th-12th house? (analyzing if there are planets- and- or the ruler and its aspect.. etc)?Well im asking because, someone i know has a dark secret.. And I have a suspicion whats about but they really dont want talk about it. So i thought maybe Astrology could help me since im a bit concerned... IP: Logged |

Interesting question. The 12th is the unconscious, so
holds repressed memories. I've read that planets here represent parts of ourselves that we don't see (like a blind spot), but are seen by others. Any issues here would be difficult to bring to light and address. The 8th corresponds to Scorpio issues, and everybody knows that secrecy is a Scorpio quality....but from what I've seen, the 8th house is more to do with intimacy. The house that Chiron resides in may be holding some painful past event that is difficult to address.
Anyway....I'd go with 12th house.

Isn't the 12th house also about (karmic) gifts/talents, or gifts/talents you have brought from a past life? Gifts you're ashamed of, of course, since they're in the "hidden" house, and you don't want anyone to know about them. IP: Logged |

I've never read about an element of shame attached to those things at all. That it's purely a case of them being a blind spot because they were in a past life and in most cases you're unaware or barely aware of them; or that it's stuff that's deeply embedded in your subconscious or something. If someone not want talk about something special. Why not ask? Its more secret to go behind and wait and wondering how its really looks like. Sometimes secrets are important. In the most of our society we need secret, our professional secrecy. Many people have strong integrity. I like people who not talk to much and can keep a secret. Skeletons in the closet is definitely 8th house in my opinion. But I don't think it's cut and dry in the natal, check out the transits - maybe a transit to the 8th house or 8th ruler that would shed light.
From what I understand form the first post, this is not a privacy issue as in gossiping about someone, the poster suspects something really bad happened. I might be wrong though.IP: Logged |

12th coulde be things secret to you if it's your natal chart right? also pluto and it's placement and the aspects it makes. i'm not sure i'm mostly observing from my own chart. IP: Logged |

The OP never said that. They just said they had a secret and asked where you go to dig up something like that in a chart. Sure, they mentioned 'concern' in passing, but how many times over the course of our lives, have we all witnessed someone prying just for their own jollies, passing it off as genuine concern for another human being? I say, they should leave it alone. If it's something they want to share, they eventually will. If they don't then they have that right, and aren't obligated to tell them a thing. The eighth is sex, death and other heavy and oftentimes taboo subject matter, yes. But it's not the house of secrets. I'll leave it at that and won't elaborate further because I don't want to help the OP along on their little fishing expedition, frankly. IP: Logged |

It's an interesting thing to look for (!)I thought of celebs and secrets,
here's one for Jack Nicholson, for 37 years he lived being told his older sister was his mother and that his mother was his grandmother.  The ruler of the 12th is his Moon and it's in the 3rd house of siblings.
The ruler of the 4th of home life is Venus sq a v.secretive Pluto in the 12th. Teri Hatcher was molested by her uncle, she kept that as a secret for a while,  Can't tell if it's her father's or mother's brother. If it's the father's brother then it's ruled by the 6th and she has her Moon there (mother's brother then it's the 12th). But then again she has that crazy Mars/Uranus/Pluto stellium that squares her Sun and her relationships with men have been absolute wrecks. Pluto rules the 4th.
8th house ruler is Neptune conj Venus in Scorp in the 4th. Tobey Maguire's father robbed a bank and was subsequently jailed for 2 yrs,  Ruler of 12th is Moon in 7th opp Venus. Venus rules the 4th house of home life and is also related to finances.
Pluto squares the Sun.
8th house ruler Uranus is conj IC and opp Mars/Jupiter. He had a lot of instability growing up and wasn't close to his dad. So I would look to H4,8,12 placements and their rulers. And also at what Neptune and Pluto are up to. And then of course the signs Pisces & Scorpio. There will likely be secrets connected to the houses where Neptune and Pluto are placed. Neptune or Pluto hard aspect (or maybe even soft aspect) to a planet can show a secret connected to that area, if they're in aspect to a luminary then likely a secret connected to that parent. I see this as being more the SN sign, its house and also the ruler of the SN. My SN ruler is Saturn even (!) but I have gifts in my Saturn sign and its house from day one 
(Not the shame bit, tho, just the gifts, also Jupiter)

First off Thanks everyone for replies. I cant comment in all replies now because Im in a hurry. But i wanted make a direct comment to the poster called -BelligerentPygmy- acting like i just want to "know a secret" like if i was doing it out of curiosity. First off, before judging me- witouth knowing ANYTHING of the situation im asking- you could had asked or bare in mind this might not be a simple "diggin out of curiosity". I dont have to give out personal information about WHO this person is or why im asking it. But Im asking because is someone VERY close to me- therefore why i said i was CONCERNED, because its not something to take lightly or some stupid question about me trying to find out stuff of people i dont know or care about. I respect peoples privacy and ur comment is totally out of place. If u dont know my situation then, simply dont judge. Thank everyone for all rest replies. Will come back later to comment more. She's obv trying to re-work what people think of the 12th. She talked only about the sign on the cusp which is already known, that you secretly have that quality you just don't put it all out there like you do with the ASC. So I'm not sure I'm seeing what is diff from what is already known. Of course some people have same sign on both cusps.
I don't think it's a secret gift it's just what you tend to cover up. Maybe she's trying to tell people to not cover it up and show your h12 sign loud and proud.

I would look at Neptune, the house it is in and the aspects it makes. Neptune is the place in the chart where something is not the way it should be, there is something missing or other than it seems....

If you respected their privacy in the first place, you'd realize that them NOT telling you what you want to know, says everything and you'd just drop the subject. But did you? NO, you decided instead to head to the internet and a bunch of strangers on an astrology forum, hoping they'll point you in the right direction so you can get the info that you're looking for, that the person involved does NOT want you to have in the first place. So don't hand me that altruistic, noble-motive BS, because if you really cared about them you'd care about how they felt on this and respect that. Ok, Secrets are an Eighth house thing. I have strong Neptune aspects in my chart as well as a heavy 8th house/Pluto's court, and I can tell you from personal experience that secrets, demons, deception, perception, the occult, sex, lies, taxes, inheritance, everything intentionally hidden is 8th house territory. Illusions, spirituality, psychic gifts, empathy, confusion, subconscious, universal acceptance, dreams, escapism are all Neptunian in nature. I always go back to the ruler of the houses to truly understand what's going on there. So if someone is intentionally keeping a secret from you that's Pluto's territory. Things that are repressed and stuck in the subconscious that even the person in the situation is not fully in touch with or aware of are Neptune in nature. As someone with Plutonian aspects and an 8th house when I don't tell someone my secrets I do it intentionally. I hide things with reason and I'm always aware of what I'm doing. Give that person in your life time to express what their hiding and if they don't let them be because if their intentionally hiding something it's probably for a good reason at least they believe so.
