When a planet conjuncts the DESCENDANT, does it also affect the ascendant (since it opposes it)?IP: Logged |

The Ascendant and Descendant is a circle, not a straight line. When a planet transits one end of the Asc/Des, it affects both ends: identity and relationships.IP: Logged |

What if there's an opposition? A planet that conjuncts the ASC, and a planet that conjuncts the DESC. Do the planets still affect both the ASC/DESC?For example, I have a Venus-Pluto opposition, does Venus affect the asc AND the desc? and so does pluto? IP: Logged |

I think all the aspects would have to be taken into consideration. For example I have my Venus in Leo in the 7th conjunct my Descendant in Leo conjunct my Juno in Leo. I'm seeing a pattern here. I think I'd be good matched up with someone who has Leo as a dominant sign in their natal chart. Which is true however I'd really like that Fire to be balanced out by Air say Aquarius . To me these aspects to my Descendant just make me more aware of myself and draw a path to the kind of partner who would ideally suit me. I think it's great when natal planets make aspects to the Descendant. It makes it easier to understand yourself and what you attract. IP: Logged |

Yes, if it conjuncts the DSC then it of course opposes the ASC. Look up descriptions for whatever that planet is-opposing ASC. I think it is especially important if the ruler of a house is placed in the opposite house. For example, I have Venus in Scorpio in 1st house..Scorpio ASC, so my DSC is Taurus..Taurus' ruler is Venus. IP: Logged |

When planet on angle,observe conjunction,not opposition; In depth search will reveal u how much every angle planet serves Asc and it in in the most personal and integral relation to Asc(just as planet on Asc is). If planet on IC/MC,and squares or sextiles,u can interpret it as different aspect,cuz there doesn't have to be aspect between Asc/Mc,Ic/Asc...IP: Logged |

AriesSun, that's exactly what I want to know. If a planet that opposes the asc affects the asc as if it were conjunct it. Does the planet opposing the ASC affect the appearance of a person or their personality (1st house), just as much as the planet conjunct the ASC?IP: Logged |

Ppl who have eg Moon on Dsc,do not look like those with Asc Moon. But,in the end the do have same energy- I have not met men with Mars/Pluto(even Saturn) on Dsc that haven't been seen as attractive;
