Can you help me with this? I am doing a chart that has this and I am not familiar with it.
One of my books says that any 12th house planet is a hardship, something one must struggle to overcome and is the hardest thing you can have, bar none.
I know newer Astrologers say that it can be turned in to a blessing but I tend to agree with the older astrologers.
I think it is something one must carry which is heavy.

Please give your thoughts and thank you!

This person has her Jupiter in Virgo in the 12th oppose an Aqua moon in the 6th. The Aqua moon is at 29 degrees,so is a "frozen" moon,as I call it.
The 29th degree has one foot in the past, the other in the future and can feel stuck as to action,in the present.

Anyway,I added that to help anyone who is thinking about this.

Hi Ami,

I was just reading about the 12th house before i come on LL as i wanted to know more about my moon in the 12th and my bfs jupiter in the 12th, i have come across some interesting reads in regards to the 12th and most do seem to emphasise its importance in a chart, there is the most hidden potential here although it will be heavy like u say.

I also read this house is to be more connoted with career successes etc than the 10th bcoz it is to do with the masses/ collective unconscious, and those with planets in the 12th would have more of a subconscious knowing of what is popular with ppl etc.

This is a link to astrodienst if u haven't seen it about the 12th house, i think it quite revealing.

Hi, my lady =)).

Jupiter in 12th house can be only 12th house placement that does not show bad karma. It is an a*s savior placement that people with this placement tend to survive(like miracles) from accidents. They have "nine lives" however they may have strange death. Since jupiter expands whatever it touches, it can also increase 12th house matters. Since 12th house is sins, hospitals, prisons, etc, person can be a big sinner or VICE VERSA, can be a very good person(pisces idealism, donating etc). Person may easily access subsconcious(12th house thing). Satisfaction from anything(especially sex) is totally achieveable. Some says they are quite lucky naturally but many of them had been through a lot of bad fortune(still survived).

Hey there,

Jupiter sits in my 12th, but it conjuncts my ASC. Don't know if that changes things or not. I did read once somewhere that a 12th house planet touching the ASC actually makes it more of a 1st house placement.

Anyway, well, I've had my fair share of hardships--like anyone--but thinking back now, I am surprised by how many close calls I've had. Stuff like coming on a car accident just moments after it has happened. I've finally begun to see that wow, just by a few extra minutes, that could have been me. Sometimes it real small stuff. Things like almost dropping a plate of food, but catching it just in the nick of time. You know, those little things that would make you go "Oh dang it all! Didn't need that right now". I am clumsy, but seem to have quick reflexes. If that makes sense.

Definitely have a "thing" for meditation, and listening quietly to an inner voice. Don't know where that exactly comes from.

I've read the same thing about Jupiter in the 12th meaning a guardian angel. Honestly though, I think everyone has one whether they have the placement or not; we've all got lucky and avoided harm at some point. I don't have Jupiter in the twelfth, actually mine is conjunct Saturn in the eighth and I've had my close calls too - as a kid I was almost run over by a school bus but they noticed me in the nick of time, that kind of thing...

Quick reflexes comes from mars/uranus aspects and also sun/mars in sagittarus(since sports, healthy body, sag represents centaur horse runner etc.) or mars in aquarius is also very good.

Sensing danger comes from moon&sun/pluto aspects or moon/neptune aspects. Pluto in 8th/12th also can give that.

Jupiter in 12th is all about "luck, guardian angel" thing.

yes, a guardian angel, or get out of jail free card. for instance

one night many years ago having had too much to drink at the pub, i stepped into a crosswalk just as the lights changed and a london taxicab started forward and rolled over my foot. i was all set to be crushed, or have my foot crushed anyway, but not only was it not damaged, it hurt for about 30 secs and then - all over.

(i didn't have so much to drink that i can't remember this clearly, so it was not just the drink that saved me!)

also, parachuting, hit the ground at 30 miles per hour and forgot my landing training. though i cracked a vertebra, i got up and walked away. if you have seen what a 2 mph accident does to your car, you will understand my feeling blessed there too..

for some reason i have not become crazy reckless but stuff like this happens repeatedly, and not just in the physical injury realm.

did i mention i have jupiter rx in 12?

It wasn't that I had good reflexes because I never even jumped out of the way and had no idea what was going on until the bus beeped at me and then I realized I'd almost been hit.

I have Moon-Pluto and Moon-Neptune as well as Pluto in the 8th but like I said I had no idea what was going on until after the fact.

Jupiter in 12th is definitely a guardian angel thing but my point is that everybody has one and actually there's multiple indicators of luck or protection that can be found in a chart; for example, certain fixed stars have to do with luck and protection as well...so I don't think that everyone who doesn't have this placement has no guardian angel and is just out here on a limb by themselves in the world.

I don't buy Jupiter 12th as guardian angel placement. At all.
Read the cookbooks if that makes you more comfy.

Truthfully I think this is just another example of how astrology doesn't guarantee anything. No interpretation of any aspect, is true for every single person who has it.

What's your interpretation of Jupiter in the 12th? Honestly, I don't think I have a guardian angel--at all! Particularly in my childhood. Maybe there is a little extra luck sometimes, but not regularly, which is probably true for everyone. What would Jupiter in the 12th involve? I'm curious, because the cookbooks don't exactly ring true for me. Only a little.

I have also moon-neptune,moon-pluto and pluto in 8th house. I am invincible with them. These aspects sometimes play in subsconcious for example, you suddenly change your mind and do not go there. At night news you learn that in the place you have been given up to go is sth bad really happened. But you dont know why you changed your mind and thus you saved your own a*s

Jupiter in 12th is like circumstances is out of your control.

Oh God, I can vouch for that!
I have Mars trine Uranus, Sun in Sag, Mars in Aqua. And I also have Pluto in the 8th; I can "smell" danger from afar! A 6th sense (Moon trine Pluto too) of sorts; that and quick reflexes (first I act and then I think)!

I second that! I can almost "sense" danger like a change in the air in a room. Always thought I was the oddball in that friends would walk into a dangerous situation that I backed out of moments earlier for some "unsolicited" feeling. I also have ridiculously quick reflexes for someone who is so wildly inattentive to her environment.

I have Mars in Aquarius widely trine Uranus in Sag. Sag rising.

For the "sensing danger" piece, I have Sun conj. Pluto in Scorpio. Moon in 8th square Pluto.

Hello Alanabelle! Nice to see you posting.

I totally agree with "good reflexes" and also "good aim" for Sag rising.
