Love makes the world go round. Were all on an intensive hunt for something profound that deeply touches our hearts and transforms us as human beings. As a Libra I spend many a moment pondering over the complexities of relationships and harmonious compatibility. And for sometime I've come to my own assumptions on what I would consider a perfectly harmonious match to my natal chart. Of course when it comes to truth and love, greater things are at work then our personalities. I thought it would be intriguing to post hypothetical planet and sign interpretations of someone who you are currently in a highly harmonious relationship with or what mix you'd consider the ultimate ideal for you. It might even help those having relationship troubles to understand themselves better. By understanding ourselves it easier to understand who we attract and what we need to balance within ourselves to attract someone into our lives whom we can truly connect with harmoniously on all levels. It would be easier to just stick to only personal planets. Ascendant - Mars. Here's my Ideal Combination with brief descriptions: Libra Ascendant (Those sparkling eyes, one of many Venusian gifts, conjunct my Sun and trine my Ascendant) Aquarius Sun (Alien Aquarians are the yang to my yin, conjuncts my Ascendant and trines my Sun) Leo Moon (The big cuddly cat is irresistible, that ego is big but their love is bigger, trines my Moon) Aquarius Mercury (trines my Mercury, deep and free thinker, calculating, and incredibly analytical) Venus in Aries (The heart of a warrior, to trine my Venus and conjunct Mars) Mars in Leo (crazy that I absolutely love them, even that ego. Conjunct my Venus and trine my Mars) A perfectly compatibly match and I'm a Aquarius Rising, Libra Sun, Aries Moon, Mercury Libra, Venus Leo, Mars Aries. IP: Logged |

All I want is for some of their planets to fall in my eighth house, and contact my north node and my vertex; and vice versa. Of course, the odds of all that going both ways aren't good. IP: Logged |

Fun!! Here is my ideal...ASC: Taurus Opposes my ASC but I find this intriguing, and like their sensuality. Sun: Capricorn Same as my Sun. I get along with fellow Caps, especially the men. Moon: Scorpio OR Aquarius I need some sort of emotional intensity to mesh with mine..it would be conjunct my ASC & Venus. An understanding. HOWEVER...I do get along REALLY WELL with Aquarian moods and don't mind their detachment because they're just so interesting and quirky. Mercury: Leo I know from experience that I have good, interesting, energetic conversations with this placement. Venus: Taurus It would be in my 7th house and conjunct the person's ASC, making them attractive (hopefully lol) and again I like the sensuality and earthiness of Taurus energy. Mars: Scorpio Love it when it's conjunct my Venus..plus it would oppose his own Venus, and I would like his own internal tension. IP: Logged |

Yay Joan! I love to play Astrological Weird Science! I love Capricorns and I need someone who will stay grounded and have that dry wit and common sense that I love so much, the Greg to my Dharma, if you will. I am a freelance girl so I need a 9-5 guy! So, Capricorn Sun. One at 2-11 deg will also trine my Saturn, NN and Vertex so that would be good (I know NN & Vertex prefer conjunctions but you know how we sometimes get in synastry situations). However, the Capricorn should not take over his life though…hmm, maybe a Leo rising. Then his AC could conjunct my DC and Venus and my AC could conjunct his DC. Okay Leo Ascendant it is… Well, I don’t want a water moon because I have had too many bad experiences with those…well not bad exactly because the Moon in Scorpio guys have had an intensity that I like (especially a guy with Sun in Cap, they are like rawr, plus I have a Moon-Pluto conjunction so it would work for him also (yes, his invisible needs are becoming my concern). It would be in his 4th house probably so that is cool, make him feel a little nurturing. Moon in Scorpio conjunct my MC would also trine my Venus, but it would widely conjunct my Uranus, yikes. But, you can’t have everything so Moon in Scorpio for the win! Okay Mercury…It can’t be too far from Capricorn so maybe in Sagittarius (?). Mercury would fall in his 5th, which would be good because Gemini rules my 5th. He might also be a bit more talkative with Mercury in Sag so that would be nice. Mercury in Sagittarius. Venus can’t be too far away either. I would say in Aquarius because then it could conjunct my Ascendant, or my Psyche depending how far in Aquarius he is, but they can be a tad noncommittal. Then Venus in Sagittarius might make him too committal with too many different women. Venus in Capricorn would fall in my 12th house, and I am not into secret relationships, although, it could also be “twin soul” like. Hmm, okay, Venus in Aquarius. Then a little weirdness in his woman would be his thing. If it was on his DC we would have that in common too, hmm, maybe I’d rather it be conjunct my Psyche. It won’t conjunct my AC or opp my Venus but it will oppose Sun and Mercury though…Venus in Aquarius. Mars in Leo. That is a definite, no matter how far-fetched it is for fake man to have it. He might have Venus opp Mars in his own chart though. It will conjunct my DC and Venus mmm… Mars in Leo… Jupiter in, hmm, I want him to be a couple of years older and my Jupiter is in Leo, so how about Jupiter in Gemini? It would fall into my 5th house and conjunct my Juno for some soul mate action. Saturn in Taurus would be good. More earthy influence. Conjunct my IC, which I have had before and it is okay. Also trine his Capricorn Sun would be great, I like stability… Uranus in Scorpio, as long as it doesn’t conjunct my MC or square my Leo 7th house stellium from 0 to 8 degrees Leo. He would have to be before my Jupiter at 17Leo also. Small window there… Neptune in Sagittarius and Pluto in Libra, blah, blah, same, same…. North Node in Leo would be good, conjuncting my Leo stuff, hopefully my Venus. Plus these asteroids… Juno in Leo (conjunct my Sun-Venus) Adonis in Leo (his 1st house, also conjunct my Aphrodite in the 7th) Lust, and other lust-like planets, falling in my 8th house (and mine in his) All of the “brainy” asteroids conjunct his Sun and Mercury

LOL @ Belligerent ^ I answered this here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/209432.html
quote: If I had to take all of the individual placements that are my favourites (separately) then, this made-up ‘perfect’ guy would be:Sagittarius Sun Scorpio Moon Scorpio Mercury Scorpio Venus Scorpio Mars With an Air AC (Maybe Libra.. which would put my Sun on his DC - It would be even better if it was a DW, since I might have a very late Gem AC/Sag DC!) and some earth…. Capricorn Saturn would be good (conj my Moon, not my Mars)!
---
quote: Oh wow! I'm sure you guys won't be as excited by this as I am, but I'll share anyway.... So I looked up "Sag Sun-Sco Moon - Sco Mercury - Sco Venus & Mars" on astrotheme.. and I got Bruce Lee! lol Then I went to wiki and looked up his wife.. Linda Emery. Well it turns out she is an Aries like myself, with a Taurus Venus like myself (closely opposite his Venus/Mars conj in Scorpio) -- and she has a Cancer Moon conjunct her Saturn - My Moon is Cappy. That's pretty similar, hey? Now how am I going to find a guy with this chart who is still alive today & not too old for me? That's the question lol

Hey! Don't give me ideas -------------- I didn't actually explain *why* those were my fave placements... So here goes nothing! Sagittarius Sun - Because there is a natural trust between us and a mutual understanding that we would give each other space and freedom - Plus, they are so much fun to be with!
Scorpio Moon - Because I am emotionally heavy (Cap Moon) and these guys form a very small minority of people who actually understand me & see all my emotional layers. Scorpio Mercury - It is trine my Pisces Mercury. I loveeeeee talking to these people. I could talk to them for hours... I could also stare at them for hours and communicate non-verballyl. It is just SWEET in a nutshell. They are very much in tune with me. Scorpio Venus - My own Venus (Taurus) is opposite Pluto. There are many similarities between us romantically. We both take love seriously. We don't play superficial games. I love the level of intensity and the general vibe that we mean what we say - when we say it. You will not hear a Scorpio Venus person throw the words "I love you" around carelessly.. Our feelings for each other are very fixed, stable and VERY enduring - throughout the years. I've never doubted their affection.. and neither have they (this goes for both friends and lovers). This is a HUGE thing for a Venus/Pluto person.. because we distrust everyone. Mars in Scorpio - RRREOW! Need I say more? LOL My Mars conj Neptune cocktail in Capricorn - sextile Scorpio Pluto....... gets along JUST fine with Scorpio Mars! You couldn't pull us apart once we're an 'item'. We are very strongly "in sync". IP: Logged |

I copied and pasted this from an earlier thread on a similar topic....... "Wow, this is gonna sound a bit crazy but… I actually planned my ideal mate based on actual true to life time and place… yup, I researched it just for fun. I’ve made synastry and the astrology of attraction the main focus of my astrological studies and to me it was a enjoyable way for me to practice my matchmaking skills on myself… at least in theory. I even made our Chinese year signs match up! Now, of course I realize that the chances of me actually marrying the guy who owns this planned out chart are extremely slim, and it’s possible that fate has better things planned for me that I can’t see yet. However, until I’m proven wrong, and someone rocks my world for real, a girl can dream right… On the date I picked… Asc @ 24 Aqua, OR @ 4 Virgo Sun @ 29 Sag exact conjunct my Venus Moon @28 Scorp trine my Moon @ 29 Cancer Mercury @ 19 Sag conjunct my Mercury @ 22 Sag Venus @ 8 Aqua opposite my Mars @ 10 Leo Mars @ 29 Aries trine my Venus @ 29 Sag (also squares my Moon but that’s a trade off for the Venus/Mars trine, as well as a sextile to Jupiter @ zero Cancer, and another trine to Saturn @ zero Virgo) When I was researching different birth dates I made sure to pick one that resonated with my 5th , 7th and 8th house cusps… my Dsc is Gemini ruled by Mercury in Sag, with Jupiter in early Cancer falling in the 7th house. That’s strong Sag vibe on the 7th so that was part of my reason for picking a date with a Sag Sun, one that conjuncts my Venus to boot. For the requirements of my 5th house of romantic excitement I picked the Aries Mars which as well as being in my 5th trines my Venus. For communication Mercury/Mercury aspects are my favorite hence that date has this conjunction with my chart. Also love Moon/Moon aspects for feeling emotionally comfortable with each other, like you are family, so the Scorpio Moon was a natural choice for my Cancer Moon, especially since my Cancer Moon falls in and rules my 8th house giving me an understanding with Scorp Moons. Of course I picked the Aqua Venus because it opposes my Mars. And also because with my Gem Dsc I value having planets in the 3rd house for communication, and Venus on the day in question was exactly conjunct my 3rd house cusp at 8 degrees Aqua (not to mention there is a Venus/Mars double whammy with my chart on that day). There were a few other reasons I selected the date in question as well. For one, Saturn is a 1 degrees of Cancer that day and tightly sextile my own Virgo Saturn (which is the ruler of my Capricorn Sun), as well as opposing his Sun (and my Venus which is conjunct his Sun) in Sag. Most of the planets are in crazy, outgoing, masculine signs on that day so I figure a Sun/Saturn aspect will help give him a sense of responsibility and duty despite the wildness that shows up in the rest of his chart… Uranus is also active in this chart! Not to mention the Venus in Aqua sextiles Neptune in Sag, and trines Pluto in Libra, on this day making for a rather romantic, deeply devoted, sentimental type of Aqua Venus indeed… which I think I would enjoy. Also the Aries Mars trineing the Sag Sun gives confidence, energy and charisma… and Jupiter ruler of his Sun falls in Aqua widely conjuncting Venus in my 3rd house, enhancing the communication that I love to experience in relationships. There were two potential Ascs that I came up with for this chart. One was an Aqua Asc that had early Cancer on the 5th house cusp conjunct Saturn (I am a Cap Sun/Cancer Moon), and Leo on the 7th house Cusp ruled by Sun in Sag which falls at the end of the10th house and is opposite Saturn ( I have Mars in Leo and Asc, Mercury, Venus and Neptune in Sag. And Venus is exact conjunct that Sun. The Cap theme is echoed too with the Sun in the 10th opposite Saturn). Libra falls on the 8th house cusp and in my chart Venus is in the 1st house… the symbolism of his 7th , 5th and 8th houses would echo the symbolism in my chart so theoretically he would be attracted to me. This Aqua Asc would be Sextile my own Asc at 25 Sag ideally. This exact chart, with the Moon at the right degree, actually occurs for the Aqua Asc in California, which is where I currently live (sigh!). The second Asc I came up with for this chart would be Virgo and ideally it would be trine my Cap Sun and Conjunct my Virgo Mc (good for admiration and respect, as well as friendship). With the Virgo Asc my Sun sign Cap would be on his 5th house cusp, ruled by Saturn in Cancer (again, my Sun/Moon combo), and Pisces would fall on the 7th house cusp ruled by Neptune in Sag (my Asc, Mercury, Venus and Neptune Sign is Sag) in the 4th house (for my Moon in Cancer). I have no planets in Pisces but the Dsc would be ideally conjunct my Ic and we’d have a Asc/ Dsc conjunct Mc/Ic. Plus, the duad sign of my Sun is Pisces, as well as the decan of my Moon… I’m more Piscean then is obvious, a total daydreamer… This exact chart, with the Scorp Moon at the right degree, occurs in Europe… so if I happened to marry someone born in Europe they could still potentially have this chart. Personally I really enjoyed researching my potential ideal mate, it was kind of like doing Astrology homework. It really made me think about how astrology works, and also what I really want and hope for in a relationship. Actually, if I really did marry someone with this chart it would be a bit scary/creepy wouldn’t it… imagine being right about something like that! Did anyone else out there try to plan the chart of there ideal mate, even if just for fun?" ... Downtomars, Funny. I feel like I am the reverse you somehow. I’m a Capricorn and have always felt like, perhaps, a female version of Greg…. Looking for my male Dhrama… IP: Logged |

…and oh man, do I love homework, especially when it doesn’t have to make sense! (seriously my 9th house Moon is conjunct Pluto and the ruler of my 3rd is in the 5th trine that so – yay school!). quote: Funny. I feel like I am the reverse you somehow. I believe in the whole “opposites attract” thing. As long as there is some underlying compatibility using astrology. I mean, I’ll bet Greg’s Venus or Moon was in Aquarius, even though he was supposed to be a Capricorn type! He seemed to get along with those in-laws…

I found one - my saturn in his 8th, his chiron in mine, his uranus, nep and saturn all on my north node, my saturn and ascendant trine his, my ic conjuncts it. His sun is conjunct my anti vertex, my sun sextiles his vertex and trines his anti vertex. Our ascendants are conjunct, he has venus in scorp whilst I have a venus pluto conjunction. Sun in Cancer, Libra or Capricorn I do have a history of Virgos, though...Moon in Taurus or Scorpio But Leo/Aquarius are pretty good, too. Mercury in Air I need someone ta keep my Libra Mercury content. Venus in Water Scorpio Venus here, yo'. Mars in Aries or Leo Ya better be able ta keep up with me when it comes ta that...I haven't tried Sagittarius yet - on paper, eet's promisin'. I suppose that's pretty broad, but whatevar, I don't ask fer much...Lol. IP: Logged |

Oooh this is nice. An ideal mate...My Venus in Cancer wants someone who has a Scorpio AC in it's final degrees, so my Sun would conjunct his DC and my Venus would be in his 8th house. Plus, I feel very Plutonian/8th house, so I am very attracted to Scorpios. My first house is mostly Scorpio, too. A Libra or Scorpio Moon would be great. Libra would either fall in my 12th house or 1st, and Scorpio moons are just wonderful with their intensity of feeling. My own feelings are always intense, superficiality or fluctuating feelings worry me. And a 12th house moon connection always feels telepathic to me, and deeply personal, I love it. Gemini Mercury and Sun, of course. I have those placements myself and I love them. Plus I always enjoy the company of other Geminis more than other signs. I always felt a deep connection with them (now that I think of it, it's probably because their Suns fall into my 8th ) Mars in Aries! Direct, honest, and awesome. This is because mine is in Aries, too... I always knew I wanted someone who is a lot like myself, and well... I guess that's true. Venus should be in something safe. Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus would be good. Stability of feelings is crucial. And he wouldn't have Uranus aspects to either Moon or Venus. And Saturn should not be in his 8th house. Funny how my current love interest is an Aries Sun, Taurus Moon, Gemini Venus, and Aries Mars with plenty of hard Uranus aspects. It's the Aries DC's fault.

I was just thinking about this topic, and it's opposite; the things that are deal breakers lolFor me, the ideal single placement is Mars in Scorpio. I love that. My Saturn is in Scorpio, so I think that is part of why I like someone whose Mars has usable Scorpio energy. I love Cancer ASC. I have met a few guys with it who have a tenderness that I need. I love Sag Sun but I am open to other suns. I do not like anything Libra, at all

I've thought about this too. Seeing that I've got a fire rising, earth sun, air moon venus and mercury and earth mars I think the ideal guy would have-Libra asc (therefore conjuncting my desc, moon, venus and mercury as well as juno -Leo asc (so asc will trine by sign at least) and leo goes great with libra and isn't horribly clashing with virgo -Sag asc (like their energy and it'd be good for my libra planets) Taurus sun (I can't do cappys, cancers, eek. Scorpios can get too broody for my liking too. Taurus is a nice balance, plus it's ruled by venus so it's good for my libra planets (as well as my virgo sun and mars) Moon in libra (that would perfect!) but I'd take moon in Sag or Leo. Not gems bc they're flighty and not aquarius bc they're alittle too detached. Wouldn't mind a taurus moon though =). Venus in Libra <3 or Taurus. I value loyalty and stability. Would like them to be reliable and affectionate. Venus in scorpio is much too possessive and manipulative/prone to mind games. Mercury in Aquarius, Libra, Aries, Leo. No gems cos they lie -_-. Need a quick thinking mercury sign cos I NEED mental stimulation. I don't care how hot, rich and fun somebody is, they need to have intelligence (my mercury conjunct desc speaking haha)! Sag mercury would somewhat clash with my virgo sun and mars. I'm not looking forward to stupid misunderstandings and arguments so don't really want mercury square sun and mercury square mars in our synastry haha. Mars in earth sign. Taurus? Or Virgo. Not Cappy though. IP: Logged |

This is Fun.For me, Sun in Fire/Air, moon in water, Venus in water as well as Mars in water/Air. But, if I had to create a "soul mate". The moon would have to be in Cancer. I know that they aren't the most popular choice due to their moodiness. But the constant up/down motion of the relationship guarantess that I'll never be indifferent to them. And the emotional intimacy of this connection is unparralled- as far as my experiences go. The sun would be nice in Sagittarius / Aquarius/ Gemini/ Libra/Leo or Aries. I am not too fussy on this one as its really not that important. But a masculine sun-sign would be ideal. Mercury is also not paramount. But it would be lovely in Air/Earth. Venus in Water Anyone with Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer.Yummy! Mars in water/air. I love libra Mars, can merge well with Gemini Mars and Aquarius Mars too. Am not too wild about Scorpio Mars though as would much rather have Pisces /Cancer on this placement. IP: Logged |
