Hola,

I am a super lazy with a sport addiction guy (i can run 8 miles without stopping but very lazy to when it comes to stand up and throwing a bin , no aggrevation though ) and i wonder what can in a chart lead to laziness?

My opinions are;
-from my chart-

I got my jupiter in 6th house. Jupiter in 6th people are lucky in health and daily jobs, i mean all my responsibilities are done by someone else in my childhood so i could not grow that "responsibility sense". Still some of them are not being done by me

Sun conjunct venus, although orb is not tight (5) still i read that it can lead to laziness. I have some taurus traits because of that i guess.

Venus trine Jupiter, with jupiter in 6th house, my all works are done in last minutes. I am lucky in houses that they are in actually. SO why bother to do STH .

Moon quincunx Jupiter. I read that still it can cause laziness.

Moon square Venus, this aspect can cause really laziness as i read somewhere else.

Pisces Ascendant. Definitely it is related.

Unaspected Saturn by Personal Planets

South node in cancer.. maybe i dont know.

I have sun,mc,venus and mercury in sagittarus(life is beatiful so why bother work , joi de vivre). Also jupiter in leo so mutual reception with sun. A lot of sag traits can give me laziness as well. Sun conjunct venus is in sagittarus .

My Super laziness examples;
- I am so super lazy that, when i saw a girl that i am attracted to, i just dont talk and not because of low self-confidence, it just tires me; the flirting games, the anxiety, also going psyhically near to her..

- When i make my mind ready to do some exercise, fitness etc, i can achieve big numbers because i have tons of stamina but when it comes to, buying something to house, throwing a bin, cleaning somewhere else, also i overcomed my symetric addiction by being lazy ROFL not kidding.

- When i get hungry, sometimes restaurants or food places seem too far away(i am currently staying in dormitory, no kitchen in room so i need to walk 200m which is closest.) I eat after one-two hour i get hungry because of that laziness

-I sometimes drive car not to walk 1 km...
(When i want to do some exercise it is different that i said at the start of the topic.)

-I am lazier when it comes to do small things than BİGGER THINGS, i know it sounds weird but to make bigger things i just make my mind ready and do it but when it comes to small things, so why bother or who cares...

You seem pretty complacent about your laziness. It's seems like your lazy out of convenience considering your have the stamina to run for a pretty long time. I don't know your situation but it seems like it doesn't put you in a position to be more active besides working out.

I'm a city person and I spend most of my day walking the streets, it takes me hours to grocery shop because of the walking distance and commute. I actually don't work out because I'm so active during daily activities and at work. When I want candy I've got too walk a couple blocks to get it. I don't know if you can pinpoint your type of laziness to an astrology aspect because most people I know who are lazy don't even have the drive nor energy to work out. It could also be your diet, that makes your energy fluctuate.

Regardless of what many astrology aficionados might say I really don't think situational laziness can be isolated to a specific aspect. I've got Moon conjunct Mars in Aries, that's a whole lot of fire, but I do my best to conserve my energy. I have endurance but instead of spending hours working out, I just stay active in my day to day activities. I also have no earth in my chart which makes me very restless and I have a considerable amount of nervous energy so I tend to stay active.

I have that Moon square Venus – with Venus conjunct the DC from the 6th and Moon in Libra in the 9th.

I also have Jupiter (in Leo in the 7th) trine Neptune (In Sag in the 11th) exact, which is said to be a “lazy idealist” aspect.

Saturn (in the 7th in Virgo) square Neptune kind of makes me feel defeated and depressed at times and it causes me to give up easily when I shouldn’t.

I have some lazy months and my physical energy comes in spurts (especially in the summer) but I always get what I need to get done, done. Thankfully I have Moon trine Mars (in the 5th in Gemini) exact and Mars trine Pluto (in the 8th in Libra) to put that fire under my butt when I need it. The trine is in air signs so, it is more about mental energy for me – like, I can stay up for days working on a research paper or writing or on a project but running a marathon, not so much. However I do enjoy sports and exercise (Mars in the 5th again), but mainly the low impact variety (walking for miles, golf and Pilates – which is mostly glorified stretching).

I like that I realize when I am being lazy though, that is when I am like “come on, get up”…

I've got a pileup in Libra and from time to time someone always tells me I'm lazy. Not possible with Mars-Pluto, Mars-Saturn and Mars-Jupiter.

I'm just really selective about what I'll get up off my a** for; I won't just jump to action for anything, there had better be some kind of meaning and real point to it and at least SOMEthing about it that's enjoyable. When I find something worth getting off my butt for, there's pretty much no stopping me.

This. Exactly. I am the same way.

What constitutes lazy though? Because how I am thinking of it – it means not going above and beyond what has to get done. I mean, I can work, sometimes two or three jobs at a time, but the commute is so long sometimes, whaaaa. So when I get home I just eat dinner and then sleep from 7:00pm til 6:00am. No happy hours or even watching tv for me, just lounging then sleep. Then the weekend can come and I can sleep in and get my weekly laundry done just in the nick of time. That is lazy to me. I didn’t do anything extra. I can even put off doing a real clean up and just do a simple “swif around” and be done with it.

About 8 years ago I worked in an outpatient mental health facility and that just drained the life out of me and I would sleep from 5pm til 7am until T Saturn went into my 6th house. I got a second job, went walking during my lunch breaks at the clinic, and worked out at the fitness area they had at my second job before I would punch in there. I also started doing walks for charity (which I still do) on the weekends and I was just a more peppy person.

Now that my employment situation is sucky, and I am working on another degree, I am back to “I’m so tired” mode (aka depression)…I think it is because T Saturn is coming very close to conjuncting my Moon, and is going over/passing Pluto. I can’t wait for that to be over!!!

I really do think it is hard to define laziness. I was sick for a couple months out of this year with a stomach virus/bacteria and I was chronically fatigued and nauseous. I am a ex-workaholic, not by choice by inherited repressive routine and an incredibly restrictive childhood, and it was hard for me to do nothing. I wasn't being lazy necessarily I was sick as sh#%. I was also pretty lazy during my last few years of college. I grew incredibly apathetic towards everything and I think it probably was depression or just a hatred of all things conventional including my very conservative catholic alma mater of which I honesty did love for its very satisfactory program curriculum. I'm actually an extreme procrastinator and Saturn in my neck of the woods has also forced me to be highly responsible. I wonder if procrastination can be considered laziness? It's really hard to define.

NativelyJoan -

Where is your Saturn? I have Saturn in Virgo which also prevents me from getting too lazy (that is the “get up” voice) but having it square Neptune makes me procrastinate as well, so I know what you mean. I think it is because the Saturn wants everything to be “perfect” while the Neptune is like “in your dreams dumbazz” so if there is a deadline and I start too early I will pick everything apart, thinking it’s terrible, and do everything over and over again. Or with school I will keep editing a paper (I even frequently edit my posts here:-/) so it is best for me to wait until the day of to do things. Last night I wrote a 5 page paper on training – with a lesson plan. It was due by midnight last night and I did it in 2 and a half hours. I have to do it, and not think about it, last minute.

I know that a large part of what is called “laziness” is the lack of energy and apathy caused by depression though, and I am sure that is/was the case with me.

Well I'm a Sun Libra square Saturn in Sagittarius. Sun square Saturn and Mars square Saturn. I can be pretty compulsive when it comes to work, and it explains my past workaholic tendencies. I've been going threw a pre-Saturn Return for the past 2 years with the passing of my birthday at the end of September I've entered the third year of Saturn transiting my Sun. Saturn in Libra has been transiting my 8th house conjunct my Sun and Mercury and opposite my moon in the 2nd house for over 2 years. It's been a face responsibility and get down to the nitty gritty time period. It has pretty much sucked and I've dealt with a pretty pessimistic attitude, all kinds of traumatizing upheavals, as well as debilitating apathy. Then again I was sick this year which took a lot out of me and since I've gotten better things have finally started too look up. I'm in a much better place now and I know longer think Saturn is so bad, he's been carving me a pretty solid back bone over the past few years. The laziness comes and goes but I think it's primarily related to apathy, like you mentioned as well. Here's a description of the Saturn Transit.

Saturn in Libra 2009 - 2012 Transit:
If you’re a Libra native or have planets in Libra in your birth chart, this two year period is a heavy time for you. This is a growth period which requires great self discipline. You work for what you get, and you get what you work for. Some of you Libras are hung up on appearances. Behaving nicely does not necessarily make you a kind hearted person! Saturn will help you drop the artifice of harmony, stop playing the games, and become answerable to a truer set of priorities, bringing yourself into a more genuine harmony with those around you. Sometimes you need to move into the center of the scale, put your feet on the ground, and consider yourself— who you are, what you want, and what is the most straightforward expression of that. When you do so, things come into focus.

Hmm...

I have a lot of those aspects that you mentioned Mertserimer (Venus conjunct Sun, Sadge influence, jupiter aspects, etc), and I am slightly lazy.

I think my biggest problem is procrastination. I will procrastinate until just a little while before deadlines because I simply work better that way. For some reason I just become more focused when I know that I have to get something done NOW. It doesn't work quite as well when I try to give MYSELF deadlines. It has to be an outside influence for some reason.

Also, I am motivated when it comes to the big things... But not to the little household chores. I will put those off as long as I can too. They will get done... Eventually. I will find any excuse to avoid them. I'm such a bad excuse for a Virgo. Then again, Pisces is on my IC.

Thank you for all answer.

I have an Unaspected Saturn from personal planets. But saturn is in good condition though conjunct north node, widely conjunct Neptune, ruler of 11th house and it is in 11th house.

So unaspected Saturn can lead to as well?

venus in aries can be lazy ( I have it progressed and noticed the change, is also on one of the interpretations )

However when at work I work really hard and managers have even ordered me to take it easy for 10 minutes or so!

There are so many other factors, like someone said if you have a mars pluto or mars saturn/jupiter aspect then that is going to make you want to use the energy in a particular way

the air signs are good for mental energy but may direct you to a fire or earth sign for physical labour etc depends on your context for lazy

I would say Garfield's birthday is June 13th. I saw it in The Funnies last summer. The comic was about his birthday, and the corner of the comic listed the date.

I tried to verify this through Google & came up with mixed responses.

If something can be done quickly and with the least amount of effort, I am ALL for it. I like to call it "efficiency". In reality, I am LAZY as hell, lol.

I'm lately becoming very apathetic towards work in general. Probably it's transits and/or progressions, because I've always taken work very seriously and I've studied a lot. But now I feel so stuck, like its a burden for me and the simple thought of it is draining. I've been called lazy for this, although I don't think I'm a lazy person.

I like your life motto
"Life is beautiful so why bother work.."

I got not of the placements you have natally, but I got that Jupiter in the 6th for my Solar Return, with Venus. I have Pisces rising too, this year. I'm lazier than ever, which sucks because I just started college.

I'm naturally lazy though, just not lazy to the point that I'm proud of it. I have Mars in Libra and that's like a typical "lazy" placement. Add the square to Neptune and my Leo sun, you got a pretty lazy person going on right there.
It's hard for me to start doing work because I usually weigh the benefits I'd get from doing that certain work I have in mind. I also sleep a lot like I even missed a date once because I fell asleep while waiting for a reply. If it was possible to sleep 50 hours a day, I probably would.

I wish I was lucky as you being lazy, though. I grew up with people doing my work for me, too, even when my dad always told me to help the maids in cleaning. Now, I am forced to do everything myself ever since I moved to the western world.

Does Sag/Jupiter really make people lazy? Damn that explains my life story then lmao

Sag moon/mercury/saturn/uranus
Jupiter my most heavily aspected planet
Jupiter trine Venus
Jupiter and Mars in super-lazy Pisces
Venus conj ASC

I can be super lazy. I'm incredibly self indulgent, too. I lounge like a cat almost all day, eating delicious food, smoking delicious weed, and sometimes drinking delicious whiskey. I get massages from my man every day and people usually want to take care of me and do things for me. Hedonist..yes, that's what I am. And I usually choose to do those things than something productive.

HOWEVER...I often opt to not take advantage and I get my stuff done...especialy cleaning, hygiene, and major responsibilities. It's just that after cleaning the tiny mess in the kitchen and showering, I'm just "sooo tired" and take a 3-hour breather searchig gourmet recipes on Pinterest 😂

At work I am a totally different animal. I'm a Capricorn and have been called a work-horse on the job. I can work a 16 hour shift on my feet and pay immaculate attention to detail.

But yeah, when I get home... ummm *clap clap* POOL BOY, BRING ME THE GRAPES
