I am trying to figure out what my chart ruler is and would appreciate some assistance.I have sag rising at 13 degrees and conjuncts my jupiter/uranus in sag at 5 degrees which both fall in my 12th house. In addition my rising, Jupiter and uranus form a stellium with the great attractor. Which is my chart ruler? do I have more then one? if so how many? ......and what does it mean that I have uranus and jupiter in the 12th but simultaneously conjuncting my ascendent? Does it mean that sometimes I hide these qualities but at times i really put those qualities out there?
Any feedback at all will be appreciated! IP: Logged |

only Jupiter, since Jupiter rules Sag. It is well-placed chart ruler, since it is in domicile. And because Jupiter is in H12,u r behind-the-scene type of player.IP: Logged |

I am sag with pisces rising so double Jupiter and it is in 6th house but i am not a helper/worker or at service of the others. I am healthy only . In fact many people covers up my mass/laziness . I think planets on ascendant and which house that planet rules is important too. For ex, if fifth house ruler is on ascendant, you are the casanova or tenth house then you are career man etc. But what you said has more validation i dont know why it does not fit me. IP: Logged |

Chartruler is only the ruler of ASC, but of course other planets can be important and dominant in one`s chart as well. Especially if they are conjunct ASC.IP: Logged |

hey there!with jupiter being your ruling planet but in the 12th house it would mean that jupiters traits would be not be as extroverted and a more spiritual and reflective side of the planet would be shown. same with uranus. so you would still have that breadth of vision and optimism it just wouldnt be expressed in a flamboyant manner like it would in the first. uranus and jupiter in the 12th conjunct the ascendent can indicate sacrifices and shun the limelight but also can be a very good placement for inventiveness and creativity and a strong leaning towards mysticism. i would say that jupiter is your ruling planet but uranus is also a strong planet as well, since it is combined with your jupiter giving them both a blend of each other. You nailed it! This sounds like me. I like the whole introverted versus extroverted analogy to explain ascendant versus 12 house energy. It helped me understand the difference bt the two.
I love thinking about other planes of existence, other dimensions, parallel universes LOL. This is how I express my spirituality. I am out there but spiritual at the same time hence Uranus conjunct Jupiter in the 12th LOL. Thanks for helping put that together.

A chart ruler is the planet that rules the sign your ascendant is in. So your ruler is Jupiter.

Yes, my modern chart ruler is Pluto, my traditional chart ruler is Mars. Aqua risings have Uranus and Saturn and Pisces risings have Neptune and Jupiter. The trad ruler needs to be looked at regarding transits and the outer planets stay in signs far too long. I personally get a rough time from mars rx, but pluto is rx for like 6 months a year I think so it's not going to have such a personal pull on people unless it's transiting points in their natal chart. ------------------ Transit Saturn giveth and Transit Saturn taketh away... Ok thanks for feedback but you have introduced me to two new concepts now. Modern chart ruler versus traditional chart ruler. What do you mean? by modern are you referring to the draconic chart? Curious... IP: Logged |

Traditional chart/sign rulers were use before the discovery of the outer planets since nobody knew they existed for most of history.
